Chapter 1629: Stop

"Kill them all. Continue onward!" Incetta observed the area carefully. There were countless demons standing in her way.

She had to pierce through the enemy’s ranks and make her way to Noel. However, there were simply too many demons for her to break through.

Even with the help of the airships and her own boat, they had a hard time breaking through. In fact, the demons were swarming her boat from all directions.

Thanks to her boat staying in the middle of the wide river, it stopped most of the demons, but the demons would eventually reach the boat.

Her soldiers on the boat were also having a hard time maintaining everything. Some were releasing arrows to take as many demons down as possible.

"We won’t be able to get there on time at this rate," said Vivi.

"Yeah. More importantly, this number... I’m afraid there is an ancient demon hiding among them. I still can’t find that one yet." Incetta turned solemn.

She had been itching to fight, but she had to conserve her power to fight against the ancient demon.

Suddenly, an eruption of power came from the north.

"Incetta!" Vivi alerted her.

"Yeah." Incetta shouted, "Jeanne. Take care of the troops in my stead."

Incetta leaped into the sky while raising her sword.

"Dragon Descending from the Sky." Incetta waved down her sword.

The water formed a dragon that crashed into the ground, blasting all the demons in the area. Then, her sword turned into a spear as she planted it into the ground, dispersing all the water as she stood on top of the spear.

She intentionally placed it in front of the incoming presence to stop their movement.

"Ancient demon?!" Incetta raised her head, finally getting a close look at the intruder.

To her surprise, it didn’t look like a demon at all. Instead, he looked human but with animal parts.

"Demonic human?" Incetta furrowed her eyebrows.

She was confused. On the one hand, the demonic humans existed. On the other hand, she thought they had killed all the demonic humans during the extermination of the Supreme Devil Organization.

"That appearance... That’s not a demonic human. That’s the demi-human!" Vivi recognized the appearance.

"Who are you? Don’t stop me!" Andreas glared at them. "We are not demi-humans. We are also humans!"

"What?" Vivi and Incetta were stunned.

"You can see me (her)?"

That remark was clearly directed at Vivi, but even Noel couldn’t see Vivi.

Vivi instantly figured out how Andreas could see her. There was only one person who could do it in the past. If Andreas could do the same, he might have inherited that power.

"Your spirit has the power of soul?" Vivi gasped. "Just like the Sword Saint..."

Still, their conversation was interrupted by the demons who had finally broken through the surging water.

"Tsk." Incetta clicked her tongue as she waved her sword. A torrential wave pushed the demons away.

On the other side, Andreas’s sword cut away the demons’ souls, killing them in an instant.

"And that appearance..." Vivi finally figured out Andreas’s identity. "You... What is Nico to you?"

"How dare you, a mere soul, call the ancestor so casually!" Andreas gritted his teeth. "Move. I won’t repeat myself."

"As expected. You should be the one who needs to be polite to me, brat. Even Nico called me big sister Vivi." Vivi raised her voice.

Andreas glared at her while still cutting down any demons that came close.

Incetta ultimately stomped the ground as a water wall emerged from all directions, isolating them for a moment.

"Enough. This is not the time for that." Incetta was the one to get angry this time. "What are you trying to do here? I’m Marquis Incetta Shervina. Are you an enemy or not?!"

"Who are you to Noel Ardagan?!" Andreas frowned.

"He’s my lord. Anna Stargaze is my master."

Andreas stopped for a moment, finally calming down. "I’m Andreas. I came here to find someone who is most likely fighting on Noel Ardagan’s side. I need to go there right away. I don’t have any more time."

It had already been a few hours since he rushed toward here, so the battle might already be over.

As if it were listening to their conversation, there was a surging energy coming toward them.

Boom!

The energy blasted open the water wall and exploded.

Both Incetta and Andreas managed to jump away at the last moment. They raised their heads and saw a big spider. This spider was clearly an ancient demon.

It looked like Incetta had been kept here by this spider the whole time. Knowing that Andreas wanted to assist Noel or someone else, it finally showed up to stop him.

Incetta was still suspicious of Andreas’ identity, but it looked like she had no other choice but to let him in.

"Do you know the location?" Incetta asked.

"I will find him."

"I’m talking about the land here. Do you know anything?"

"I know where the main city is."

"Go to the main city and head west. If he truly is fighting on my lord’s side, he must be there. The city is located 10 km from the main city." Incetta had to change her plan.

Since she had to stop this spider, it was better to send Andreas inside and believe that he would make the difference.

Andreas paused for a moment before jumping away according to her information. He couldn’t help but mutter, "Thanks."

"That guy is an ally, right?" Incetta asked.

"Should be. Nico was the ninth commandant. That person must have come from the kingdom that Nico established for the refugees. I could tell you the story about it later, but..."

"Yeah. Our priority is that spider. It’s already too late to go to the main battlefield, so we should focus on the objective in front of our eyes." Incetta nodded.

Incetta leaped back to the ship while shouting, "Attention to all soldiers. This will be the last battle. Kill all the demons here, and this war will be our victory!"

Once Incetta chose to focus on this battlefield, she could finally unleash everything they had without leaving anything behind.

The fierceness of their attack overwhelmed even the demons. And Incetta’s focus could finally lock onto a single being, the ancient demon spider.
