Chapter 1486: Milinda Sirius
Chapter 1486: Milinda Sirius
"Scroll of Divine Link. Spirit and Human Fusion!"
Noel had been wondering where he should use this trump card. There were only two opportunities. The first one would be during the final battle, while the second one was here.
It would have been a problem if he had fallen in this place. The supreme devil and the third prince were extremely strong. Even if he could win, he didn’t know how much damage he would suffer.
Even with his trump card, Raven, it wouldn’t be enough to turn around the situation right away. Just like how the enemies planned to severely injure him in this battle, Noel planned to do the same thing. This was the only way to push back the date of the final battle, allowing more preparations to be done.
However, what Noel didn’t realize was that the Divine Scroll left behind by his ancestor, Milinda, was beyond anything he would imagine.
Upon activating the scroll, a powerful black fire soared into the sky.
"What is that?" The demon king widened his eyes.
The fire was beyond that of the Ardagan’s fire Noel currently wielded. It was much fiercer and more intense.
The fire burned everything in its path, including the cloud. It was as if the entire sky was being burned.
The people couldn’t help but gasp. Laufey felt chills down his spine. "What is this power? Does our lord have a trump card of this level?"
No one could say anything, but it was true that the pressure emanating from this flame made people instinctively cower in fear.
But it was even more surprising when the soldiers, who had flame spirits, suddenly got their flames extinguished and suppressed within their bodies as though they were bowing to the king.
"What’s going on?"
"My flame?"
"What’s wrong with my flame? I can’t summon it anymore."
People couldn’t help but turn around, staring at the soaring flame. Yet, to everyone’s surprise, this powerful flame suddenly got frozen from the outside.
The flame and the ice tried to burn and freeze each other. Yet, it gradually melted together, creating an icy flame and hot ice.
The moment the demon king felt this power, he suddenly remembered something. "Not good. Attack him right away!"
"What’s going on?"
Both the demon king and the supreme devil leaped forward, but it was too late. What the scroll needed was just a mere few seconds.
The icy flame and burning ice descended and hit both the demon king and the supreme devil.
The demon king slashed the icy flame with his full power, but his slash ended up getting frozen first, which weakened the power structure in his attack, before getting evaporated by the flame.
The supreme devil, on the other hand, had its attack burn the outer shell before getting its core frozen and shattered into pieces.
The demon king gritted his teeth. "Milinda Sirius!"
"Who?" The supreme devil had never heard that name.
"The sister of the Spirit God, who slew the demon god. She should have been gone from this world. The first wielder of Ardagan." The demon king never expected Milinda’s influence to still remain.
"!!!" The supreme devil was utterly shocked. He had never heard of this name, and yet, he claimed to be the sister of the Spirit God. However, the moment he heard about the first wielder of Ardagan, he suddenly remembered something.
Alexander Ardagan had never mentioned her name, but he often told the commandants that his skills came from his grandmother, the first wielder of the sword.
Everything clicked in his mind in that instant. The Spirit God had slain the Demon God? Milinda Sirius was the Spirit God’s sister as well as the grandmother of Alexander Ardagan? Wouldn’t this mean Noel, no, the entire Ardagan family’s bloodline, was the Spirit God’s lineage?
But they were supposed to be human. In that instant, a crazy thought appeared in his mind. What if this family had originally been human? What if a human became a spirit or even a god?
It was something that Alexander had never told anyone.
And this time, they were paying the price.
The ice formed a humanoid figure next to Noel and as the flame coated it as if it was a human skin. The figure circled her arms around Noel’s neck from behind.
"This presence..." Noel gasped, feeling the presence he had once encountered. "Grandma?"
"Looks like my descendant has become a spirit. I have told Ardagan to present this scroll if someone ever becomes a spirit by fusing with him, but it looks like he hasn’t told you anything about it."
[My apologies. He has become a spirit due to some circumstances, so I don’t think it’s fair to say it.]
"I know your personality very well." Milinda sounded nostalgic as she met her old friend after so long. She whispered to Noel, "Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like the other party is going to let us have some time."
"!!!" Noel was a bit distracted because he ended up meeting his ancestor, but the supreme devil and the third prince had regained their composure and attacked him from both sides.
"Listen up, my child. The spirit’s body doesn’t allow the existence of two elements within their body. However, the same can’t be said for humans." Milinda gently grabbed Noel’s arms and guided them to move as if Noel were pointing his hands at the two enemies.
Noel could feel that his energy was flowing without his control. There was something different from what he had felt so far.
When he released the attack with his left hand, it felt like the energy from the spirit seals, one on his chest and one on his hand, flowed together and fused. The one coming from the hand was slightly further away, so at first, the attack was filled with only the ice element. But soon, the energy that flowed in after that was the fusion of the two elements.
"You have grown so strong, but you forget about the most fundamental thing. Whether it’s the fire element, the ice element, sword skills, or even runes... All of them are nothing but tools. Whose tools are they?"
The answer was simple. Noel instinctively answered in his heart. "Mine."
"That’s right. You are the one in charge. How dare tools ask their owner whether to wield them or not!" Milinda’s energy suppressed both the flame and ice, forcing them to get along. She first formed an outer ice shell using the ice energy she originally had due to the late arrival of the flame-ice energy. Then, she filled up that ice shell with the fusion energy before shooting it at the third prince.
The third prince widened his eyes and swung his sword. "You bastard."
Boom!
