Chapter 799: Chapter 799: The Blood of Dragons

Raze, the prince of the Blazing Fire Dragon Kingdom, eyed Isabella’s silhouette as she walked away to rejoin Ethan. A smirk formed on his lips.

"Tch, what an untamed woman...", Raze muttered to himself. "Should I steal her from that peasant?"

Before the thought could settle in his mind, a black flash tore through the air. Without warning, an blade severed his right arm, sending it flying through the air as blood splattered across the dirt.

Raze fell to his knees, letting out a scream of agony. Looking up, he met Ethan’s cold eyes, gazing down at him like a worm.

"If you dare covet my woman, there will be no place for you in this world," said Ethan.

"You damned bastard! You son of a bitch!" Raze roared, dragging himself along the ground while clutching his bleeding stump. "I am the prince of the Blazing Fire Dragon Kingdom! My father will skin you alive, you lowborn dog!"

Isabella turned on her heels. With a look of disdain, she stepped forward and drew her jade blade half an inch.

"Trash is just trash," said Isabella.

A silver flash crossed Raze’s neck. The prince’s head rolled across the ground before he could utter another insult, leaving the surviving soldiers paralyzed with terror. That couple showed no mercy for the slightest offense; their bloodlust knew no bounds.

Outside the dimensional plane, inside the Golden Sun Grand Colosseum, a deathly silence fell over the thousands of spectators in the stands. In the vassal kingdoms’ box, the King of the Blazing Fire Dragon Kingdom stood up, his eyes bloodshot with rage and his face contorted in fury.

"You damned bastard! You and your wretched kingdom will pay for this!" the king roared, unleashing his spiritual energy in an explosion of crimson flames.

Transforming into the manifestation of a fire dragon, the king charged toward the delegation of the Soaring Dragon Kingdom. Great General Vaelen stood up immediately, gripping his spear to fight to the death.

However, before the monarch’s attack could touch anyone, a figure crossed his path. A single cold flash pierced through the dragon’s form, splitting it in half before the flames could expand.

Vorian, the imperial executor, sheathed his blade in a swift motion as he stood before the subdued monarch.

"This is not your kingdom. You had better remember that," warned Vorian in an icy voice.

The pressure exerted by Vorian’s slash forced the blood of the King of the Blazing Fire Dragon Kingdom to flow in reverse through his meridians. The monarch let out a choked gasp as blood burst from his facial orifices before collapsing onto the colosseum’s marble floor.

"Your Majesty!" screamed the courtiers of the Blazing Fire Dragon Kingdom, panicking. "Call a physician immediately!"

A primordial pressure descended over the colosseum, silencing the murmurs of the vassal kings and the screams of the courtiers. The Emperor did not raise his voice, yet every word resonated directly within the souls of those present with the weight of a divine sentence.

"The rules of the dimensional tournament were established before your heirs took their very first step," declared the Emperor, sweeping his gaze across the arena with emotionless golden eyes. "Combat is absolute. Victory and death are accepted equally. Anyone who attempts to violate the order of this trial, or seeks to settle personal grievances outside the sacred plane, will not only pay the price with their own life... their entire kingdoms will be reduced to ash and erased from the imperial map."

Vorian wiped his blade with a silk cloth without making a sound, while the kings of the vassal nations bowed their heads, cold sweat dripping from their brows at the threat of total extermination. No one else dared to protest.

In each edition of this sacred event, casualties between sixty to seventy percent were considered standard. However, an unwritten rule had been respected for centuries: the heirs of royal houses were never to be killed. Vassal kingdoms sent their princes like lambs to the slaughter—a stage where they were allowed to show off, compete, or be humiliated by the imperial elite, but never executed. Ethan and Isabella’s action had just shattered that illusion of diplomatic immunity in a single stroke.

Returning to the dimensional plane, the air around the Chaotic Queen weighed like lead. Following Raze’s decapitation at Isabella’s hands, the thousand-eyed creature seemed to register the sudden shift in vital mass and the prince’s death.

The queen’s body began to contract. The massive facial wound Ethan had inflicted started oozing a dense, black fluid that melted raw stone upon touching the earth. From the cracks of her obsidian carapace, dozens of flesh and miasma tendrils lashed out, devouring Raze’s remains and the nearest abyssal males in a single sweeping motion.

Ethan stepped forward, coming to a halt directly beside Isabella. He felt the Orb of Death vibrate in his grip with a hungry intensity, reacting to the concentration of corrupt energy.

[Master... the queen is using that cultivator’s flesh and her own males to accelerate the egg’s hatching], Crul warned within Ethan’s mind, his voice ringing with caution and greed. [If the embryo absorbs that vitality completely, it will break through the shell prematurely. We cannot afford to give her another second.]

"Isabella," said Ethan, his gaze locked onto the beast’s thousand red eyes as they began regenerating her shattered face. "Keep the remaining beasts at bay. This bitch is mine."

Isabella twirled her jade blade, sending a metallic hum through the air as silver aura coated her body.

"Understood," replied Isabella. "I won’t let any of those vermin disrupt your party."

Ethan tightened his grip on his sword’s hilt. His dark aura erupted into shadowy flames that enveloped his frame, and with a single step, the ground beneath his feet collapsed as he charged at full speed straight toward the massive form of the Chaotic Queen.

However, before he could reach the beast, a devastating surprise attack slashed in from his flank. Ethan reacted on instinct, crossing his black blade to block the blow and triggering a shockwave that brought his momentum to a dead halt. That split-second distraction was all the queen needed; taking advantage of the opening, the alpha female opened her thousand-eyed maw and unleashed a concentrated ultrasonic beam straight into Ethan’s chest with the force of a spiritual battering ram, slamming him violently into the ground and carving a trench of crushed stone in his wake.
