Chapter 795: Chapter 795: The Siege of Three Fronts

Chaos erupted simultaneously across all three corners of the Ten Thousand Abysses Realm. What the rival kingdoms envisioned as a tactical campaign of conquest instantly devolved into a bloody slaughter.

In the northern rocky gorge, the camp of the Storm Kingdom and the Steel Shield Kingdom collapsed under the initial onslaught. The black tide of undead scaled the palisades like a rabid plague.

"Hold the shield formation, damn it!" screamed the commander of the Storm Kingdom, thrusting his lightning-infused spear into the skull of a skeleton, shattering it into a thousand bone fragments. "They are mere summons! Cut them in half!"

"Do not retreat!" roared the general of the Steel Shield. His massive broadsword descended with destructive fury, cleaving the torsos of two spectral warriors in two. Blueish gore and rotting flesh splattered across his face as the steel sliced through flesh and dark silver armor. "Scorch the earth if you must!"

The clash was brutal. Enemy spears speared through the thoracic cavities of the undead, while spectral claws tore through throats and ripped out jugulars with unrestrained violence. The agony-filled screams of living soldiers mingled with the dry crunch of snapping bones and severed limbs flying through the air. A Storm Kingdom soldier shrieked in horror as a skeleton drove its fingers directly into his eye sockets, gouging them out before snapping his neck with a swift twist.

However, the sheer distance from the Orb of Death took its toll. Being several kilometers away from Ethan, the destroyed undead failed to regenerate instantly; their bodies dissolved into a dense violet smoke that sped back through the sky toward the altar.

"They aren’t regenerating!" shouted a captain, half his face doused in his fallen comrade’s blood. "Destroy them all! Aim for the head!"

In the eastern lush forest, the Kingdom of the Deep Mist endured a living hell. Ethan’s shadows dropped from the tree canopy like ravenous beasts. An entire archer squad was slaughtered within seconds; severed heads rolled across the moss while jets of blood painted the trunks of ancient trees.

"My arm’s gone! Aaargh!" shrieked an officer, clutching his bleeding stump right before three spectral blades impaled his abdomen from side to side, disemboweling him onto the dirt.

Along the western shores, the troops of the Black Tide Kingdom tried to defend their barricades, but the undead surfaced from the blood-stained water, dragging soldiers into the depths to drown or dismember them beneath the waves.

Back at the plain’s altar, Ethan sat upon the edge of the stone pedestal with his eyes closed, holding the orb that constantly absorbed violet flashes returning from the horizon.

"They are destroying quite a few on the distant fronts," commented Ethan in a calm voice. "Being so far away, the orb merely reclaims their essence instead of raising the bodies immediately."

Isabella, standing beside him and watching the flashes streak across the dimensional sky while fiddling with her jade sword doused in dried blood, let out a light chuckle.

"Yet they haven’t stopped pressing for a single second," said Isabella, her eyes burning with bloodlust. "You’re draining their souls, severing their limbs, and exhausting their resources without having moved an inch."

"Let them drown in their own blood," answered Ethan with an icy smirk. "When they no longer have the strength to hold a sword, we will go slice off whatever is left of their necks."

Suddenly, a deafening thunderclap shook the foundations of the dimensional plane. The earth beneath Ethan and Isabella’s feet began to fracture into abyssal chasms kilometers deep, spewing geysers of purple fire and a foul miasma that devoured vegetation and flesh within seconds.

Ethan snapped his eyes open, rising to his feet atop the stone altar as the ground vibrated with the fury of an ancient beast awakening from its slumber.

"What on earth is that?" shouted Ethan tightening his grip on the Orb of Death as the plane’s entire atmosphere turned an oppressive blood-red.

Outside the dimensional plane, the reaction in the Golden Sun Grand Colosseum was instantaneous. The hundreds of thousands of spectators stood up all at once, holding their breath before the spiritual projection screen. The kings of the vassal delegations turned pale as they witnessed the sheer scale of the phenomenon.

In the box of honor, the Emperor leaned back against his golden throne and let out a booming laugh, full of amusement and cruelty.

"Did you think it would be that easy, brat?" whispered the Emperor the sovereign with a calculating smile on his face. "With your power alone, all the armies of the nations are nothing more than simple entertainment for you... No, it can’t all be this easy."

Through the abyssal chasms that continued to tear the earth apart, the true reason behind the realm’s name, the Ten Thousand Abysses Realm, finally became clear. The plane was no mere battle arena or barren wasteland; it was a dimensional prison designed to contain thousands of corrupt, abyssal entities sleeping beneath the layers of the earth.

The one-sided slaughter, the blood spilled by thousands of soldiers, and the immense amount of necrotic aura unleashed by Ethan had acted as the ultimate sacrifice. The abysses tore open one by one, releasing giant thousand-eyed beasts, rotted flesh golems, and shadowy entities that emerged with bellows that shook the very souls of every participant.

The tournament was no longer a simple war between armies of cultivators; it had become a fight for survival in the heart of hell itself.

Back at the altar, Isabella drew her jade sword as a massive abyssal creature with obsidian claws standing ten meters tall emerged from the nearest chasm, roaring directly toward them.

"It seems the game just got interesting, my love," said Isabella, her eyes burning with anticipation.

Ethan smirked, letting out a breath of satisfaction as he channeled his spiritual energy into his blade.

"Let them come," said Ethan. The void within him seemed to peek through for a split second as his pupils turned pitch black, and he added in a whisper dripping with hunger: "I am far too hungry... it’s time to eat."
