The Halka Family Mansion.

Mr. Halka was sitting on a chair, dressed in a white shirt and white pants with a black hat and his favorite walking stick. Sitting beside him was the pale-faced Dora.

On the opposite chair facing them was a black-haired man. He was working on a laptop with a serious expression on his face. He took in a deep breath, his hands speeding over the computer keyboard.

Several minutes later, he breathed out and stared at Mr. Halka. His gaze looked worried, and then he spoke. "The surveillance... none of the incidents you mentioned are recorded inside. It’s neither deleted nor recorded; no scene is missing from it," he said.

Mr. Halka’s gaze turned colder. "Are you saying I’m just making things up? The CCTV must have captured the incident! I need this evidence to bring her down!" he shouted in anger.

The man lightly shook his head. "As the best in the hacker organization, I found it weird. You mentioned it happened, but the CCTV didn’t record anything. I’ve hacked into all the cameras here; none recorded the scene," he stated.

Mr. Halka stood up in a rage. "Get out now!" he shouted.

The man bowed slightly, took his laptop, and then left.

Mr. Halka hit the floor repeatedly with his walking stick. Getting irritated and pissed, he coughed repeatedly. Feeling his chest tightening, he took in a deep breath to calm himself.

"Dad, don’t target Nova anymore," Dora suddenly said, her voice low but loud enough for Mr. Halka to hear.

Mr. Halka’s gaze softened as he approached her. "Are you terrified by her? Don’t worry, my precious daughter, I will definitely get her on her knees before you. By then, you can torture her for as long as you want," he promised.

Dora raised her red eyes and stared at her father. "I don’t want to torture her anymore," she stated.

Mr. Halka clenched his fists tightly. "Yesterday’s incident... you are scared of her because of yesterday’s incident, right? Don’t panic, my dear, you’ve got me. Even if we can’t take her down legally, it’s easy to take her down in another way," he assured her.

"You don’t understand, Dad!" Dora shouted. Tears escaped her eyes as she stood up. "I’m in love with her! Do you get it? I’m in love with Nova already!" she shouted.

It was as if cold water had been poured over Mr. Halka’s body. His eyes widened in shock, staring at his daughter in disbelief. "Dora, what... what are you saying?" he asked, trying to convince himself that he was just hearing things.

"I hate to admit it... I thought it was Cassian that I loved, but ever since I laid my eyes on her, I’ve fallen for her. I tried to dismiss it, but I couldn’t help it. I love everything about her," she cried.

Mr. Halka almost lost his balance hearing his precious daughter’s confession. "You are confused! She’s a girl and your enemy! She injured you like this! She traumatized you already!" he shouted.

"I’m fine with whatever she did to me!" Dora shouted again. "Dad, listen to me, please don’t anger Nova again. Just leave her," she pleaded.

Mr. Halka shook his head in disbelief. He brought out his phone and dialed someone’s number immediately. The phone rang for a few seconds before it was connected.

As soon as the call was connected, Mr. Halka spoke immediately. "Come here now and check on my daughter. She’s starting to speak nonsense," he shouted in a commanding tone, and ended the call.

Dora closed her eyes and sat back down on the chair. "You don’t understand," she murmured, burying her face in her palms.

Mr. Halka’s brows knitted in worry. "You are definitely confused by her, my precious daughter. Think about it, you have always wanted Cassian ever since you were little, saying you want to marry him, right?" he stated.

Dora stared at his face with teary eyes. "And then I realized all this while, I didn’t really love him. My heart only beats for Nova. Dad, I want to be with the person I love. I really love Nova," she said.

Mr. Halka took in a deep breath. "The doctor will arrive soon. You are currently confused," he stated in a calm voice.

Dora stared at her father for a long time before clenching her fists together tightly. "Do not go against Nova again. This time, if there is any attempt from you to harm her, I will definitely oppose you," she said firmly. She stood up, heading back to her room.

Mr. Halka watched his daughter’s back and hit the floor with his walking stick even more furiously in anger. "What’s all this supposed to mean? Why is everything so upside-down now?" he murmured. "That Nova girl must be eliminated! she’s a big threat and a danger to my daughter," he thought.

.....

Cassian’s Mansion

Nova roared up to the front entrance of the estate on her beautiful, sleek black ladies’ sports bike. She slowed to a smooth stop just outside the main doors, killed the engine, and gracefully stepped down from the vehicle.

Pulling off her helmet, she rested it securely on the bike’s handlebars. After brushing a hand through her hair, she pushed open the heavy front doors and stepped inside the mansion. However, as soon as she crossed the threshold, she was completely stunned by the scene playing out before her.

On the long couch lay the red-haired man, Andrew, with the doctor lying right on top of him. Hearing the sound of the door opening, both of them snapped their heads toward the entrance.

Nova glanced around the surroundings to be sure that she hadn’t entered the wrong house, and then her gaze fell back on the doctor.

Immediately, the translucent blue screen appeared in her vision, displaying the full details of the doctor.

Nova’s mouth made an ’O’ shape as she stared at the two men. "I must admit, this surprises me," she murmured.

"Mum!" Seeing Nova, Andrew immediately pushed Felix away and rushed over to her. Tears welled up in his eyes, and he instantly threw himself into her arms. "I missed you so much," he murmured.

Nova was tongue-tied. "You know me?" she asked.

Andrew buried his face in Nova’s neck, not replying to her immediately.

Nova sighed lightly and pulled away, staring at him. "He looks somewhat like me," she thought. "Don’t just keep hugging me, answer my question," she said in a slightly annoyed voice.

Andrew stared longer at Nova, and then looked down. "She didn’t tell you?" he asked.
