Chapter 102: 102:You can call me whatever you feel suits me

Afternoon

The car pulled up to the mansion. Nova and Alan stepped out and made their way inside. The quietness of the halls immediately tipped Nova off—Cassian wasn’t back yet.

"I’ll go change first. I’m heading out somewhere," Nova told Alan, who was already on his way to the kitchen to grab her something to eat.

Alan nodded, a soft chuckle escaping him. "Can I see your phone for a second, Snow?" he asked gently.

Nova set her phone on the living room table next to her newly won trophy. "Here," she said, gesturing to it before heading upstairs to change out of her uniform.

Alan immediately picked up the phone. As he suspected, it had no passcode. He opened her chat history with Raymond and quickly forwarded Raymond’s schedule—which had been sent to Nova—to himself.

Once done, he forwarded the schedule to Cassian, adding a quick text beneath it.

"That’s his free time schedule. We can start the plan now." ℯ

When the message showed as delivered but Cassian didn’t reply, Alan assumed he was busy. He slipped his phone into his pocket and returned to the kitchen to whip up a quick lunch for Nova.

Upstairs, Nova selected a black leather biker jacket, a white knitted bandeau top, and black oversized cargo jeans, pairing the outfit with matching white boots.

Anah materialized beside her, crossing one leg over the other as she sat on the edge of the bed, quietly watching Nova pull her hair into a sleek, simple high ponytail.

"Ready to complete the second mission?" Anah asked.

"Mhm," Nova hummed, staring at her reflection in the mirror. "I am really pretty," she added with a satisfied smile.

"Must you constantly admire yourself?" Anah retorted, her tone laced with annoyance.

"Yes," Nova replied simply, swiping a layer of lip gloss over her lips. "Let’s go." She opened the door and headed downstairs, leaving Anah to vanish back into thin air.

"Have some lunch first, Snow," Alan said as he saw her come down. Taking in her outfit, his face flushed, and he swallowed hard. "My Snow is as charming as always," he thought.

Nova smirked, noticing his unblinking stare. "Baby, your face is so red," she teased, stepping closer to him.

Alan flushed an even deeper shade of crimson. "Snow, when... when are you coming back?" he stammered.

"Probably tonight," Nova replied. "Let’s eat." She walked over to the dining table where lunch was already laid out.

Nova sat down and began eating, but Alan simply sat beside her, staring at her with a lovestruck gaze. "I really want to ask where she’s going, but... won’t she think I’m asking too many questions?" he thought, gently taking her hand.

"Eat," Nova commanded lightly, seeing him ignore his food.

"How about you feed me, Snow?" Alan asked, flashing the warm, pleading smile of a lovesick boy.

Nova sighed. Taking the last bite of her own food, she picked up his bowl and stood. "Come." She took his hand and led him to the living room. Sitting beside him on the sofa, she began to feed him, scrolling through her phone with her free hand whenever he was chewing.

Alan beamed with pure happiness. Soon after finishing his meal, his eyes grew heavy, and he rested his head on Nova’s lap. Nova set the empty bowl on the coffee table and affectionately stroked his hair.

Once he fell asleep, Nova carefully shifted his head onto a soft pillow. She went to her room, returning with a blanket to drape over him. Pressing a gentle kiss to his lips, she took the empty bowl back to the kitchen.

"Time to snatch some power and deal with a nuisance," she murmured. A devilish smile spread wide across her lips as she walked out of the mansion.

SK Hacking Group.

Nova stood outside the towering corporate building, her eyes tracing its modern exterior. With a flick of her wrist, a beautiful, snow-white mask materialized in her hand. She slipped it on, it concealed only the upper half of her face, leaving her nose and lips exposed to the world.

She stepped through the front doors, only to be instantly blocked by two security guards at the entrance.

Nova sighed, her voice laced with boredom. "I’m looking for Jasper."

"Do you have an appointment?" the first guard asked, eyeing her with a wary expression.

"I am... his sister. You can call him out," Nova replied, locking her icy blue eyes onto the guard.

The two men exchanged a terrified, uncertain glance. His "sister?" they both thought.

"Please wait here. We will announce your arrival to the boss," the first guard said, turning to leave.

But Nova’s voice sliced through the air, cold and absolute. "I don’t have time to waste with you. Both of you, look into my eyes."

The authority in her tone forced their compliance. They stared into her eyes, which suddenly flared with an otherworldly glow.

"One of you will lead me to Jasper’s office," she ordered.

Instantly, the first guard bowed stiffly, his movements mechanical. Like a robot, he turned and marched down the halls, leading Nova straight to Jasper’s office.

When they arrived at the heavy executive doors, the guard bowed again. "The boss is currently inside," he reported in a hollow voice.

Nova nodded. "You may leave." The guard turned on his heel and walked away.

Left alone in the quiet corridor, Nova stared at the closed door. She took a single, calculated step back. In a blur of motion, her leg shot up in a devastatingly high kick.

CRASH!

The heavy door splintered and slammed open, rebounding off the inner walls like a gunshot.

Inside, the expansive room was packed with men hunched over glowing monitors, their fingers flying across keyboards. At the explosive sound, the rhythmic clatter of typing stopped instantly. A heavy, suffocating silence fell over the room as every head snapped toward the entrance, shock and outrage painted across their faces.

Who dared to be so reckless in SK Hacking Group’s inner sanctum?

As the dust settled in the doorway, everyone froze. The tension in the room spiked to a suffocating degree, the air suddenly thick with an unspoken threat.

Standing in the wreckage of the entrance was a young woman, her leg only just descending from a perfect, violent kick. The stark contrast between her fashionable outfit, her elegant white mask, and the brutality of her entrance left the room paralyzed.

An electric current of danger radiated from her, freezing the men in their seats. No one dared to breathe, the only sound left in the room was the low, steady hum of the computer servers.

Lowering her leg smoothly, Nova surveyed the room, her gaze sweeping over the sea of stunned, fearful faces. Her lips curved into a flawless, disarmingly harmless smile that completely betrayed the violence she had just committed.

"Hello," she said, her voice smooth and echoing clearly in the dead-silent room. "You can call me whatever you feel suits me. I’m here for Jasper. Now... where is he?"
