The howls of wolves echoed across the plains, resonating near and far.

The air seemed filled with the low roars of these snarling beasts.

They rushed forward relentlessly, ready to attack all life in their path.

But just then, heavy hoofbeats suddenly came from afar.

Cyril turned to look, seeing a sudden black line appear at the edge of the plains, stretching thousands of meters, rapidly expanding.

As the distance closed, it became clear that it was the Knight Order charging swiftly.

Knights adorned in armor, their faces exposed and covered in strange patterns, rode agile Black Panthers racing forward, surging like tides toward the wolves.

"It’s the Demon Pattern Knight Order, one of the core legions of the Star Alliance," Maisy said.

A strange light flickered in Cyril’s eyes, "They came quite quickly."

The Star Alliance couldn’t possibly know the invasion point ahead of time, which was one of the invaders’ advantages.

But the overlap of planes had just occurred, and the Star Alliance promptly reacted, swiftly dispatching troops to the invasion site; their efficiency was somewhat exaggerated.

As if seeing Cyril’s skepticism, Maisy said, "It seems the Star Alliance inherited from the Starfall Association, establishing a Magic Energy Network to monitor Energy Particles across the Starlight Continent. Besides that, they’ve established thousands of Teleportation Arrays across the continent, enabling rapid deployment of troops anywhere as needed."

"I see," Cyril realized, while secretly marveling.

Achieving such feats despite the harsh environment of Starlight Continent, that Wizard named Sunan certainly had some skills.

While Maisy and Cyril conversed, battle erupted on the plains.

Black Exotic Beasts clashed violently with armored knights, blood splattered and remnants scattered in all directions!

Deafening shouts and cries of battle rose to the sky!

As if splashing red ink droplets on white paper, slowly spreading out, the vast field was soaked in blood in an instant.

Countless Longswords pierced through Black Wolves, taking their lives.

In contrast, the Black Wolves left only shallow claw marks on the knights’ armor.

A very faint glow enveloped each knight, greatly reducing the damage from the Black Wolves.

This protection stemmed from the Magic Pattern Armor!

Yet, despite the heavy casualties, the number of Black Wolves showed no sign of reduction, as more continued pouring from the forest, seemingly endless, surging toward the Demon Pattern Knights from both sides in a bid to encircle them.

Maisy’s gaze crossed the battlefield to the rear of the Demon Pattern Knight Order.

As soon as the battle erupted, Wizard Apprentices accompanying the Demon Pattern Knight Order had already begun drawing Arrays at the rear.

In just over ten minutes, twelve massive temporary Teleportation Arrays had been drawn.

As the dazzling lights of Magic Energy illuminated, puppets emerged from them.

Stone Golems, Dual-bladed Spiders, Steel Golems, Elite Dual-bladed Spiders, Refined Gold Golems... Countless golems strode forward with heavy or agile steps, fearlessly joining the battle, instantly halting the Demon Pattern Knight Order’s slight decline.

At the same time, further away, squads of Demon Pattern Knights sped toward the battlefield, reaching it shortly.

As time passed, more Demon Pattern Knights and the Golem Legion arrived on the battlefield and joined the fray.

While Black Wolves emerging from the forest gradually couldn’t keep pace with the rate of casualties, the Star Alliance began to control the rhythm of the battle, expanding their advantage.

Maisy nodded silently, observing.

The Star Alliance reacted too fast, preventing the wolf surge from exploiting the element of surprise. Otherwise, if they had initially allowed the wolf surge to reach sufficient scale, they could have secured a foothold on the plane battlefield.

Having a foothold would provide enough space and time to expand the planar fissure, enabling more wolves to enter the Starlight Continent.

Unfortunately, the Star Alliance gave them no such chance.

If this continues, the wolf pack will be gradually compressed in space, and eventually, the Star Alliance will counterattack at the wolf surge plane.

Under such circumstances, Youxi should soon be unable to remain passive and likely take decisive action.

Thousands of Flying Demon Ships covered the sky like dark clouds, instantly dispelling the oppressive atmosphere created by the five Wizard Towers.

"What is this?" Cyril stared in surprise.

Yet Maisy didn’t know either, and she watched the Flying Demon Ships with unwavering attention, a subtle smile appearing on her face.
