Synthetic Wizard

Chapter 436 - 256: Advancement to Level 3 Wizard

Moonlight Plane, City of Utmost Darkness.

This giant city floating high in the sky is made entirely of black and white.

The base is an inverted conical mountain of bones, composed of countless pale remains, and the city structures built above it are uniformly pitch-black.

However, in the night, these structures do not blend into the darkness; instead, they emit a faint bluish glow, distinctly separating them from the surrounding dark.

It also imbues the entire city with a chilling and eerie atmosphere.

In the center of the city, a pitch-black tower pierces the sky like a spear, seemingly splitting the entire sky in two, extraordinarily eye-catching.

Youxi had just walked out of the tower when someone called out to him.

Turning his head, he saw that the person was Turaman, a colleague with whom he’d had a few collaborations and could converse reasonably well within the Dark Throne.

The reason they weren’t friends was that there was no such thing as friends in the Dark Throne.

Either they were competitors or partners.

And most of the time, they were the former.

"I heard you applied to Lord Wood to handle matters on the Starlight Continent?" Turaman asked.

Youxi nodded, expressionless, and said, "What about it?"

Turaman’s gaze flickered, and he smiled, saying, "Nothing much, just curious. Lord Wood sent several waves of people to the Starlight Continent before, but invariably, they vanished, all trapped inside. Only recently did some information come back, saying a Wizard Influence has appeared on the Starlight Continent with considerable strength. Why do you want to wade into these muddy waters?"

Youxi glanced at him sideways and replied indifferently, "Don’t compare me to those useless people. I won’t repeat their mistakes."

Unruffled by the retort, Turaman smiled and said, "You’re indeed more formidable than those useless ones, but even for you, tackling the tough bone that is the Starlight Continent will require significant sacrifice—at least the Moonlight Plane you control will suffer heavy losses. What exactly did Lord Wood promise you to make you take on this task knowing the cost?"

"That’s what you truly want to know, isn’t it?" Youxi’s eyes flashed with mockery.

"Just satisfy my curiosity."

Youxi was silent for a moment, then said, "I don’t mind telling you; Lord Wood promised that if I can conquer the Starlight Continent and offer it, he’ll propose to the Three Thrones to promote me to Robe Wizard."

"So that’s it."

Turaman took a deep breath, suppressing the intense jealousy surging in his heart.

Becoming a Robe Wizard is practically every low-level Wizard’s goal in the Dark Throne.

Once stepping into this tier, one can shed the identity of the exploited and leap to become one among the exploiters.

They’ve endured exploitation from above for so many years, all for the chance to someday join the ranks of the exploiters.

Unexpectedly, Youxi received the opportunity so soon.

"It seems the battle situation in the Moonlight Plane and the Realm of Truth isn’t going well for the Dark Throne, consuming a lot of power; otherwise, Lord Wood wouldn’t have promised such a tempting offer to let you crusade the Starlight Continent."

Ignoring the veiled jealousy in Turaman’s words, Youxi sneered inwardly, but his expression remained impassive as he said indifferently, "Precisely because of this, people like us have an opportunity, don’t we?"

"I suggest you seize the chance to conquer a plane if you have the opportunity. Controlling at least one plane is the minimum standard for becoming a Robe Wizard; if you don’t meet the standard, even if the opportunity is presented, you won’t grasp it."

Turaman’s cheeks twitched slightly, and his hands in his sleeves couldn’t help but clench tight.

Though annoyed by Youxi’s covert mockery, he had to admit there was truth in Youxi’s words.

In any Wizard Influence, those who can independently control a plane carry more identity and status.

Even within the Dark Throne, which practices the law of the dark forest.

Without controlling a plane, even as a Level 3 Wizard, one cannot attain the status of a Robe Wizard.

"...You’d better be careful; a Wizard Influence that can develop under such conditions on the Starlight Continent is certainly not simple!"

"Perhaps, but the Wizard Influence called the Star Alliance is only taking advantage of the dimensional blockade. Once they lose this advantage, dealing with them will be as easy as flipping their hand."

Seeing Turaman fall silent, Youxi sneered inwardly, refrained from saying more, and turned to leave.

There is less than a year left until the dimensional blockade of the Starlight Continent is lifted, time is pressing, and he needs to hurry back and prepare.

Success or failure in becoming a Robe Wizard hinges on this crusade; it can only succeed, not fail!

He must conquer the Starlight Continent!

...

Time flies quickly, and in the blink of an eye, it’s already Starlight Calendar 2000.

Top floor of the Starlight Wizard Tower.

Sunan sat cross-legged by the Elemental Pool, focused intently on cultivating.

In the Sea of Consciousness, a third Talent Crystal shimmered with a beautiful glow.

As the final strand of Spiritual Power melded into the Talent Crystal Model, filling in the last bit of emptiness, a brilliant glow suddenly erupted from the crystal’s surface.

The third Talent Crystal, successfully formed!

A familiar sensation of soul-level sublimation surged from deep within his body.

Sunan opened his eyes, divine light flashed through his gaze.

In that instant, the void behind him abruptly darkened, transforming into a boundless starry sky, as dazzling stars streaked across like meteors!

It seemed the entire void trembled, countless small cracks appeared in a moment!

Lasting only a mere three or four seconds, these small cracks quickly returned to normal, the illusory starry sky vanished, and the hall restored itself to its usual state.
