Chapter 233: Chapter 156: An Unforeseen Path, the Sub-dragon Species Magical Pet

Starlight Calendar year 1258, Fiery month (August).

After a slightly unsettling sensation of weightlessness, Sherman’s vision cleared, and with a focused gaze, he found himself standing in a spacious and bright hall.

The hall was orderly furnished with numerous stone chairs and tables, where some apprentices were sitting, chatting and laughing.

“Is this the Dragon Remains Tower?”

Behind him, Luger looked at the hundreds of Eternal Pearls embedded in the ceiling and exclaimed in astonishment.

Beside him, Sean, Solano, and a group of Demon Pattern Knights all showed faces full of wonder.

Only Cole wore a completely indifferent expression, saying to Sherman, “Let’s report to the teacher first.”

Just as Sherman was about to nod, a familiar voice suddenly reached his ears.

“The teacher is still in the lab and hasn’t come out yet, you’ll have to wait for a while.”

Sherman turned around to see Attila standing several meters away, looking at them with a smiling face.

“Attila!” Sherman showed a surprised smile, “Long time no see!”

Attila hadn’t yet advanced to a level-two Wizard Apprentice, so he didn’t participate in the establishment of the New Magic Plant Garden and exploration of the underground world.

As it counted up, he hadn’t seen Attila for almost two years.

Seeing Attila suddenly filled his heart with delight.

Cole’s expression also softened significantly, nodding lightly at Attila.

“Long time no see.”

After a pause, he scrutinized Attila a few times, a trace of surprise suddenly flashing across his face.

“Attila… you’ve broken through?”

Sherman paused, then came to his senses and carefully examined Attila, showing an amazed expression on his face.

“You’ve advanced to a level-two Wizard Apprentice!”

“Yes.” Attila nodded with a smile, “I broke through just two months ago.”

“That’s great!” Sherman exclaimed with delight.

After advancing to level-two Wizard Apprentice, Attila would be eligible to participate in many base activities.

This meant they could return to the times when the three of them acted together.

Cole’s expression also managed a slight smile, saying, “Congratulations.”

“Thank you.” Attila replied with a smile.

As members of the first group of apprentices to enter the base, their bond was the deepest among the apprentices, and their sense of recognition was likewise.

Now with the three of them back on the same page, their mood naturally grew quite joyful.

After exchanging a few words, Attila turned his gaze towards Sean and the others.

“Are these the Knight Guards?”

“That’s right.” Sherman nodded with a smile, pointing at Sean, “This is Sean, the current captain of the Knight Guards, and the top graduate of the first class at Dragon Heart Knight Academy. Despite his youth, he already possesses the strength of a senior knight.”

“Attila, my lord!”

Sean hurriedly saluted Attila, then said with a cautious demeanor:

“Sherman, my lord, you’re too kind. Compared to the three of you, my power is insignificant.”

These words were not really modest; a level-two Wizard Apprentice who mastered magic had at least Grand Knight Level combat strength, making a senior knight pale in comparison.

“Alright, enough with the pleasantries.”

Cole interrupted their conversation, turning to Attila.

“Since the teacher is preoccupied, we’ll report later.”

“Attila, show us around Dragon Forest. I’ve yet to see the new base.”

Back when the base was relocated, Cole and Sherman were still wandering miserably in the underground world and couldn’t join in.

Now, returning for a rare break, they naturally sought the opportunity to explore the new base thoroughly.

Sherman showed a moved expression upon hearing this.

Attila agreed easily with a smile and then instructed Sean and the others, “Base regulations allow only level-two Wizard Apprentices to freely move outside the Dragon Remains Tower. Others are prohibited from leaving the tower without accepting a mission. You can only roam inside the tower, so head downstairs to rest today.”

He then summoned a Clay Golem to lead the group of Demon Pattern Knights to the residential area.

After advancing to level-two Wizard Apprentice, the teacher entrusted her with partial authority, enabling her to command the Clay Golem within limited capacity inside the Dragon Remains Tower.

Once the Clay Golem escorted them away, Attila led Sherman and Cole out of the Dragon Remains Tower.

Inside, nothing seemed amiss, but upon seeing the Dragon Remains Tower’s exterior, coiled like a Giant Dragon, Sherman and Cole were thoroughly stunned.

“Could this be an actual Giant Dragon skeleton?” Sherman exclaimed in disbelief.

“Yes.” Attila’s eyes revealed a flash of admiration as he looked at the Dragon Remains Tower. “The teacher said the bones used to build the Dragon Remains Tower likely belonged to an ancient dragon with a lifespan exceeding eight hundred years.”

This elicited an astonished expression from Cole.

“The wizard who constructed the Dragon Remains Tower must have been extremely powerful!”

Ambition flashed in Cole’s eyes, but a sigh soon followed.

He wished to become such a powerful Wizard, but also understood that with his talent and aptitude, even becoming an Official Wizard was uncertain, let alone reaching the level of the Dragon Remains Tower’s creator.

After a moment of admiration, Attila summoned three Black Rock Leopards, and the three of them soon rode off on the Black Rock Leopards.

District 3 wasn’t vast, and they swiftly traversed a barely perceptible barrier into District 2.

Witnessing the somewhat desolate meadow and its sparse green plants, Sherman appeared somewhat bewildered.

“Why is this place so barren?”

Attila explained, “Dragon Forest’s District 2 was originally derelict, and it’s already considered improved. When the base first relocated, not even a single blade of grass could be found here.”

“The teacher mentioned that District 2 was originally used for nurturing the Dragon Race, but since they are likely extinct on the continent, it can only be used for growing Magic Plants.”
