Chapter 221 - 150: Inheritance Protocol—Who Is the Prey

Chapter 221: Chapter 150: Inheritance Protocol—Who Is the Prey

“Two lingering spirits!”

The Traveler grimaced as if with a toothache, but didn’t look too panicked.

After all, unlike before, he now had Sunan as an ally.

In the blink of an eye, the Dark Hand and Blood Mouth arrived near the Dragon Remains Tower.

The two stared at the tower for a while, clearly shocked by the sight before them.

“Control… Core!” A muffled voice came from beneath Blood Mouth’s gray robe.

“Most likely!”

Dark Hand couldn’t hide his excitement in his voice.

After discovering the Eco-Park, he thought about bringing it under his control, but found no leads. Now, seeing the Dragon Remains Tower, he realized that the key to controlling the Eco-Park lay within.

But the pressing matter was to deal with the Traveler first.

Coming back to his senses, Dark Hand refocused his attention on the Traveler, with two crimson glows under his hat lingering on Sunan.

“Who are you?”

“This is between the Eternal Life Association and that guy. Outsiders, leave at once!” Dark Hand said sternly.

He clearly saw Sunan knew the Traveler and wanted to scare Sunan off using the name of the Eternal Life Association.

However, he miscalculated.

Sunan chuckled, “If that’s the case, I wouldn’t say I’m unrelated.”

After all, it was under his hand that Ugo of the Eternal Life Association died.

Yet Dark Hand misunderstood, scrutinizing him coldly, “You’re one of the Forest Cabin’s people too!”

Seeing Sunan ignoring his question, Dark Hand snorted coldly.

“Since you’re seeking death, I’ll fulfill your wish!”

The robe surged, and dark tentacles stretched out from beneath it.

“Wizard apprentice flesh… smells delicious!”

The gaping maw at Blood Mouth’s chest made a gurgling sound, followed by him lifting his hat to reveal a wrinkled face with a single eye.

The cold pupil stared straight at Sunan, filled with blatant greed and cruelty.

Seeing the undisguised murderous intent from both of them, the Traveler’s expression became grave, with the Cyan Spirit Branch in his palm emitting a gentle green glow.

But just as the battle was about to erupt, the Dragon Remains Tower suddenly trembled.

Soon after, a mechanical and monotonous voice echoed out of nowhere.

“Detecting five qualifying biological sources, initiating Longlin Ecological Park inheritance program.”

“Distributing Eco-Park core keys. Those who gather the keys will gain ownership of Longlin Ecological Park.”

The sudden voice instantly drew everyone’s attention.

Upon understanding the mechanical voice’s words, the four collectively showed astonishment.

The keys to the Eco-Park!

The four were unanimously overjoyed.

With the keys, the entire Eco-Park could be controlled!

This Eco-Park that cultivated countless Sub-Dragon Species and Rare Magic Plants was an immense temptation for any Wizard Apprentice.

Dark Hand and Blood Mouth immediately shifted their focus, staring intently at the Dragon Remains Tower not far away.

By controlling the Eco-Park and then closing off the entrances and exits, they could trap the Traveler and Sunan, achieving both objectives!

Buzz!

The skull dragon head at the top of the Dragon Remains Tower suddenly burst into a blinding light, and five dazzling silver rays shot rapidly in all directions like meteors.

Almost at that moment, Sunan, the Traveler, Dark Hand, and Blood Mouth simultaneously leaped into the sky, each chasing after a silver ray.

Meanwhile, several hundred meters away in the forest, a silhouette also soared into the sky, chasing the fifth silver ray.

Catching a glimpse of this from the corner of his eye, Sunan understood.

No wonder the voice mentioned five qualifying biological sources; the fifth person was hidden in the shadows.

Returning his gaze, Sunan unhesitatingly activated a High-level Rune Gemstone, his body immediately cloaked in a layer of azure aura, and his already swift speed accelerated dramatically, streaking towards the silver light like a meteor.

About four or five minutes later, the silver light slowed and descended.

Sunan felt a burst of energy, accelerating and quickly arriving above the silver light’s landing point.

Looking down, he spotted a deep pit on the ground, with a coin-sized silver metal fragment lying quietly in the center.

Sunan willed it, and the Mage’s Hand instantly swept up, grabbing the silver metal fragment and letting it fall into his palm.

“Is this the key to entering the Dragon Remains Tower?”

The surface of the silver metal fragment was covered with dense and peculiar patterns, intricate yet carrying an esoteric charm.

The overall shape resembled a triangular metal piece, with indentations on each of its three edges, like three interlocking slots.

Thinking of the mechanical voice earlier, Sunan immediately understood.

This silver metal fragment wasn’t a complete key, but merely one-fifth of it.

The five silver rays corresponded to five key fragments, and only by collecting all fragments could one complete the key.

“I see, the inheritance program means this.”

“It wants us five Wizard Apprentices to compete for the key fragments, and the victor will inherit the Eco-Park’s ownership.”

“Who could have imagined that the builder would leave such a program to prevent the Eco-Park they painstakingly built from being destroyed?”

After some contemplation, Sunan shook his head, deciding not to dwell.

The builder was dead, and he could no longer speculate on their thoughts. What mattered now was to collect all five key fragments to seize the Eco-Park’s ownership!

With a plan in mind, Sunan soared into the sky towards the location of the fifth person.

What surprised him was that after flying several kilometers, the key fragment in his hand suddenly emitted a faint glow.
