He knew what Carolina wanted to say, but he truly didn’t value the matter of cooperation.

Carolina said directly upon entering the hall.

At this, the face of the female vampire from Matu instantly darkened, suppressing her displeasure: “Are you joking, Carolina? I’ve personally traveled far to Ghost Lake City only for you to brush me off with such an absurd excuse. Do you think Matu is easy to bully?”

Carolina said calmly, “I don’t mean that, but the master truly is busy, or you can stay here for a while, and once he’s done, he can meet with you.”

As the Corpse Ghost envoy exited Ghost Lake City, the sound of rushing wind came from behind, as the female vampire chased after.

“You seem quite composed. Carolina was clearly brushing us off, and you don’t feel any anger?”

The Corpse Ghost envoy glanced at her, calmly saying, “What’s the use of anger? Do you intend to fight Carolina on her home turf?”

“Moreover, Ghost Lake City’s stance is clear; I only need to report this to Duke Black. What happens next is his concern.”

Hearing this from the Corpse Ghost envoy, the vampire’s expression gradually eased, though she still seemed somewhat displeased.
