Sweet Time Only for You: The Entanglement between Mr. Lu and Miss Song
Chapter 901: Totally Didn’t Notice
Duoduo froze and didn’t react for quite a while. Lu Jinyan, looking roguishly handsome, lifted his hand and gave her a little wave. "Hey, what a coincidence."
Coincidence?
Wen Duoduo frowned and lowered her head, seeing his left hand carrying a box.
If she wasn’t mistaken, that cardboard box was the packaging from that little shop selling the creative couple’s spice jars she’d just been looking at.
She suddenly remembered—could it be that the creepy stalker who’d been behind her just now was actually Lu Jinyan?
Wen Duoduo narrowed her bright, sparkling eyes, glared at him, and grumbled:
"What’s with all the mystery? Were you following right behind me just now? I kept feeling something was off, like someone was tailing me—turns out it was you!"
She paused, then asked, "Well? When did you start following me?"
Lu Jinyan didn’t bother lying and answered honestly:
"I’ve been behind you ever since you walked out of the Art Academy. You can’t blame me for stalking you—that’s on you being slow on the uptake. My car was parked right across from the academy gate. I’d been waving at you the whole time, but you just didn’t see me."
He shrugged, looking both helpless and innocent.
So what he meant was... he’d come to pick her up from work?
Wen Duoduo blinked, and her face couldn’t help flushing red.
She really hadn’t expected him to actually follow her all the way.
Lu Jinyan went on, "I just wanted to see what you were up to, coming here all by yourself. So it was to watch a play. Do you like stage plays that much?"
He folded his hands on his knees, his index finger still hooked around that little box.
"They’re okay, I guess. It’s not like I’m that into them, I just came to kill time," she said casually.
Wen Duoduo stared at that little box with curious eyes, really wanting to know whether what was inside was that pair of creative couple’s spice jars she liked so much.
"Next time you’re bored, you can call me along. That way your boyfriend here can actually shine a little," Lu Jinyan said with a smile.
The play hadn’t finished yet, and it definitely wasn’t appropriate to keep chatting like this, so the two of them tacitly stopped talking and turned their attention back to the stage.
From the moment she saw Lu Jinyan, Wen Duoduo’s heart had been pounding nonstop; how was she supposed to calm down?
But she couldn’t let her little thoughts show, so she could only put on a look of feigned concentration.
A few minutes later, the man beside her didn’t seem to have much of a reaction.
Wen Duoduo cautiously turned her head to look at him and found that at some point, Lu Jinyan had already closed his eyes.
He’d actually fallen asleep right there in the theater.
Wen Duoduo leaned in toward him slightly, reached out her hand, and quickly waved it in front of his eyes.
Lu Jinyan didn’t react at all. Wen Duoduo was speechless, the corner of her mouth twitching slightly as she thought, He better not actually be asleep and start snoring in the theater—that’d be so embarrassing.
She had to wake him up, fast.
"Lu Jinyan, wake up."
Wen Duoduo called out tentatively.
But Lu Jinyan still didn’t respond.
"No way, you really fell asleep?"
Wen Duoduo muttered under her breath, leaning a bit closer. She waved one hand constantly in front of his nose and said worriedly, "You’re really out cold, huh."
Just as she was about to pull her arm back, suddenly, her wrist was tightly grabbed by Lu Jinyan.
Wen Duoduo jumped in fright and instinctively turned her head, only to discover in shock that Lu Jinyan hadn’t been asleep at all—he’d just been resting with his eyes closed.
"Why are you disturbing my nap?"
She pressed her lips together, and a sudden mischievous impulse rose up. "Serves you right for sleeping like a log. The whole theater could hear you snoring."
