Lu Jihan closed his eyes for a moment, stood still, and only after waiting for the pain to pass did he take a deep breath and say, "I’m fine. By the way, where’s Yinyin? Where did she go?"

"She went to the Imperial Capital Hotel with Madam to have breakfast. Madam said Miss Ning is about to be discharged and asked Second Young Madam to go shopping with her to buy some gifts to make it up to Miss Ning."

So she’d gone out with his sister-in-law.

Lu Jihan let out a long sigh of relief.

The butler lowered his head and caught sight of his feet: "Oh my, Young Master Jinhan, your feet are all covered in grass and mud, and there’s blood... oh dear, how did this happen?"

"I’m fine. I was in a hurry just now to go to the backyard to look for Yinyin."

"Then please hurry upstairs and wash up, don’t hurt your feet."

"It’s nothing."

As Lu Jihan walked upstairs, he called Shen Kang.

Very soon, Shen Kang picked up.

"President Lu, you were looking for me?"

"Shen Kang, come to the Imperial Capital Hotel to pick me up in an hour, and on the way help me get in touch with Doctor Ji."

Lu Jihan’s low voice came through into Shen Kang’s ears.

Shen Kang froze for a second: "President Lu, are you feeling unwell?"

"Yeah." Lu Jihan responded, his brows lowering. "I suspect my Blood Curse Poison still hasn’t been resolved."

"What?"

Shen Kang’s heart also jolted.

"We’ll talk about the details when we meet."

After ending the call, Lu Jihan headed straight for the Imperial Capital Hotel.

On the way, Lu Jihan slowed the car down and called Yan Xue.

Fortunately, Yan Xue picked up: "Jinhan?"

"Sis, I’m looking for Yinyin."

There was a rustling sound on the other end, then Yan Xue said, "It’s Jinhan calling."

Song Yinyin picked up the phone: "Hello? Jinhan."

"Why did you go out without telling me? You scared me half to death. I looked all over the house for you."

"I saw you were sleeping so soundly, I couldn’t bear to wake you up."

Hearing the displeasure in his voice, Song Yinyin stuck out her little red tongue and apologized: "Sorry for making you worry."

"Don’t do it again."

"Okay."

Song Yinyin answered, and then heard Lu Jihan ask, "Which floor of the Imperial Capital Restaurant are you on now?"

"On the second floor, in the Chinese restaurant. Are you coming over?"

Song Yinyin’s clear, crisp voice came through, instantly softening the impatience in Lu Jihan’s heart.

"Yeah, I’ll come over in a bit to see you."

"No need, I’m going shopping with Sis later. I left in a rush and didn’t bring my phone when I went out. Don’t be mad, okay? Aren’t you really busy? Your work is more important, you don’t need to worry about me."

Lu Jihan frowned slightly. "No. I’m not at ease if I don’t see you. I’m almost there anyway. I’ll come find you two. Wait for me."

He let out the words in a deep voice, his tone extremely firm and forceful, leaving Song Yinyin no room to argue or refuse.

"Alright then, I’ll wait for you." Song Yinyin sighed helplessly. No one knew better than she did how domineering and strong-willed her husband was.

If he’d decided to come over, there was no changing his mind.

Song Yinyin felt that this clingy side of Lu Jihan was inexplicably a bit cute, and because he worried about her and cared about her all the time, her heart warmed.

On the other end of the line, after Song Yinyin hung up, there was still a smile on her face.

When Yan Xue looked up, she saw her lips curved and her eyes squinting with laughter, and couldn’t help teasing, "Look at you, you’re no different from those schoolgirls in love."

Yan Xue was saying she looked very girlish. Being complimented like that, Song Yinyin grew embarrassed, her cheeks flushing red.

"Sis, please don’t make fun of me."

Song Yinyin said shyly, then got up and went to the restroom.

She never would have expected that in this very hotel, she would run into a certain someone.
