"Then go ahead, I’m all ears." He jumped off the bed and brought An Hao a chair to sit on, "Mom, what is it?"

"What’s going on between you and He Yue?" An Hao didn’t beat around the bush and directly asked about his relationship with He Yue without any preamble.

"Nothing at all! Mom, what are you thinking?" Ning Chenguang asked, looking at An Hao with a smile.

An Hao remained silent, just pursing her lips and looking at him.

Ning Chenguang laughed aloud: "Alright. I know, nothing escapes your eyes! It’s just as you see, she likes me! And I happen to like her too."

"You’re honest."

"What else can I be?" Ning Chenguang said with a faint smile on his lips looking at An Hao, "Mom, you’re not planning to scold me, are you? Tell me to stay away from her? You’re not going to be that vicious mother, right?"

"Who are you calling a vicious mother?" An Hao noticed her son’s lively face due to love and smiled slightly as well, "Your mother is not that unenlightened. You all are at that adolescent age, which girl doesn’t have spring fever? Which boy doesn’t fancy someone? But, mark my words, you two better not mess around!"

"What’s messing around? Mom, can you explain to me?" Ning Chenguang caught onto the words in An Hao’s statement, a sly look in his eyes.

"Playing dumb." An Hao scolded playfully, "And what’s going on with you and Zhan Xiche?"

At the mention of this name, Ning Chenguang’s face turned cold: "She’s just a classmate to me."
