The blue fluorescent screen remained suspended in the carriage.

Neither of them spoke for several moments.

Xie Rong’s gaze remained fixed on the final line.

[FINAL MISSION POINTS ALMOST MAX OUT — HOST MIGHT RETURN TO HOST WORLD SOONER THAN HOST EXPECTED.]

Wang Gege slowly turned toward him. "Husband..."

Xie Rong finally looked away from the screen and toward her.

"Does that mean..." She hesitated before continuing, "you can return soon?"A faint smile appeared on his lips, but there was something complicated behind it. "Perhaps."

Wang Gege stared at him. "You don’t look happy."

Xie Rong looked at her. "Would you?"

She pressed her lips lightly together, taking a moment to consider his question.

"The main reason this husband worked so hard through all those missions was for the sake of going back and saving you, Furen."

He let out a quiet sigh.

"And if you are already here..." His gaze lingered on her face. "What’s the point of this husband returning to our original world again?"

Wang Gege fell silent.

She had never thought about it from his perspective.

To Xie Rong, returning to their original world had once been the only thing worth pursuing. He had endured every mission, every danger, and every absurd situation because he believed that if he could return, perhaps he could change the ending that had taken her away from him.

But now she was here.

Alive.

Sitting beside him.

And suddenly, the world he had once desperately wanted to return to no longer held the same meaning.

Wang Gege slowly reached for his hand before taking a deep breath, "Gemi... Mini said the system could submit for the changes of the final reward... can you also do that?"

"Then you ask." Wang Gege pushed him a bit.

He raised a brow. "Ask what?"

"About changing your final reward." Wang Gege squeezed his hand. "If you don’t want to return anymore, then there should be another option, right?"

Xie Rong remained silent. He looked at her hand resting in his before finally raising his gaze.

"Furen seems very certain that this husband can simply choose another reward."

"I’m not certain." Wang Gege shook her head. "I’m just saying that if Mini can submit a request, then perhaps Gemi can do the same."

Xie Rong considered her words for a moment before finally turning toward the floating screen.

"Gemi."

The screen flickered.

Xie Rong narrowed his eyes slightly. "This one wishes to ask about the final reward."

The screen remained unchanged for several breaths.

Then another line appeared.

[HOST MAY ASK.]

Wang Gege immediately leaned closer.

Xie Rong’s fingers unconsciously tightened around hers.

"If this one does not wish to return to the original world, can the final reward be changed?"

The screen flickered.

Wang Gege’s eyes immediately brightened.

"But—" Xie Rong continued, his expression becoming more serious. "What must this husband do?"

For a moment, there was no answer.

Then a new line slowly appeared.

Xie Rong frowned, "Then submit."

The screen went completely blank.

Wang Gege and Xie Rong exchanged a glance.

A few seconds passed.

Then the blue light flickered again.

Wang Gege blinked, "That’s it?"

Xie Rong also seemed slightly surprised by how easily it had happened. "It seems so."

She leaned closer to the screen, as though doing so might somehow make another answer appear.

"Then... what happens now?"

The screen remained silent.

Xie Rong waited for a moment before asking, "When will this one receive the result?"

Another line slowly appeared.

Wang Gege’s brows lifted. "I think it might take a while... Mine has been under review since Mini first appeared before my eyes."

She almost chuckled, finding the thought rather amusing.

"At least you won’t suddenly be dragged out of this world, right?"

Xie Rong’s expression softened as he looked at her.

"This husband hopes so."

Wang Gege tilted her head slightly. "You sound uncertain."

"Because this husband has learned that whenever the system says something is possible, there is usually another condition waiting somewhere."

She let out a small laugh. "That is true."

Xie Rong gently tightened his hold on her hand."But until the answer comes, this husband will stay right here."

Wang Gege looked down at their intertwined fingers before quietly smiling.

Xie Rong nodded. "Yes..."

For a few seconds, neither of them said anything. They simply looked at each other, the quietness between them gradually becoming warmer.

Both of them were startled.

The two of them stared at the screen for a moment before simultaneously breaking into laughter.Xie Rong covered his face with a palm for a second, still smiling as he looked at the floating screen.

"You usually disappear on your own at times like this. How come you are still here today?"

Xie Rong’s hand slowly lowered from his face.

Wang Gege stared at the screen for a moment before her lips began to twitch.

Xie Rong glanced at her. "Furen, don’t laugh."

That only made it harder for her to hold herself back.

"I didn’t say anything..."

Xie Rong turned his attention back to the screen, his expression becoming strangely serious."Gemi."

[YES, HOST?]

"You are dismissed." Xie Rong said.

The screen remained in place, blinking for a few seconds before another line appeared.

[THERE IS NO OTHER QUESTION, HOST?]

Xie Rong narrowed his eyes. "No."

A brief silence followed.

[ARE YOU CERTAIN?]

"Yes."

[HOST’S WIFE MAY STILL HAVE QUESTIONS.]

Wang Gege blinked.

Xie Rong’s expression immediately darkened. "She can ask me."

[HOST’S ANSWER MAY NOT BE AS ACCURATE AS THIS SYSTEM.]

Wang Gege immediately covered her mouth, trying not to laugh.

Xie Rong stared at the screen.

"Are you deliberately trying to stay?"

[THIS SYSTEM WILL LEAVE NOW.]

The moment Gemi disappeared into thin air, Wang Gege ended up laughing again.

"This husband believes Gemi likes Furen..."

Xie Rong chuckled softly.

"Indeed, Furen is very likeable."

Wang Gege smiled as she leaned back against the carriage seat, while Xie Rong’s hand found hers again.

The carriage continued rolling along the quiet road, carrying them away from the lively festival and back toward the Xie Residence.

Just as the two settled into the comfortable silence, the driver’s voice suddenly came from outside.
