Survive in the Black Mist: My Sunflower Can Navigate
Chapter 352: Basic Training Room
Chapter 352: Chapter 352: Basic Training Room
The internal structure of the ball of light solidified at a speed visible to the naked eye. The outlines of walls, the texture of the floor, and the phantoms of fixed facilities became faintly discernible.
The entire process lasted about five minutes.
After the final stream of light was completely absorbed, the silver ball of light suddenly contracted inward, then erupted in a soft but steady silver halo.
When the halo faded, a miniature model of a room had appeared on the floor of the mobile cabin.
Before Seraphina Sinclair could react, a notification popped up before her eyes:
[Please place your Basic Training Room in any empty space within the mobile cabin!]
[Time Remaining: 00:05:00]
Seraphina Sinclair didn’t dare to delay. She immediately bent down and cupped the delicate, silver-white room model in her hands.
The model was cool to the touch and heavy, its surface gleaming with a metallic luster. The details were incredibly lifelike; she could even see the outlines of simple equipment inside through the miniature windows.
She glanced around the interior of the mobile cabin.
Although the space had been expanded several times, it still wasn’t particularly spacious. Moreover, if she placed it inside the main cabin, the training room could be damaged if monsters got in.
The best solution was to put it in the bathroom or the kitchen.
The bathroom was crammed with all the supplies she had accumulated and had limited space, so it wouldn’t fit. The kitchen, however, was a bit larger. Aside from a simple stove, it was completely empty.
Besides, Seraphina Sinclair didn’t have much need for a kitchen. ’So why not...’
’Why not just convert the kitchen into the training room!’
The moment the thought occurred, Seraphina Sinclair felt it was a perfect fit.
Holding the training room model, she teleported into the kitchen with a thought.
The stove was in the far corner, leaving just enough space for the training room.
Without further hesitation, Seraphina Sinclair gently placed the model in the center of this empty area.
The instant the model’s base touched the floor, a powerful suction force pulled it down, fixing it firmly in place.
Immediately after, the soft, silver halo lit up on the model’s surface again, rapidly expanding outward like ripples on water!
Seraphina Sinclair subconsciously took two steps back.
In the light, the silver-white model inflated as if being blown up. In the blink of an eye, it transformed from a palm-sized toy into a proper room about 2.5 meters high and 3 meters wide, occupying the entire kitchen area.
Silver-white metal walls rapidly solidified, seamlessly connecting with the kitchen’s original walls. A matte glass door appeared at the front.
The entire process took no more than three seconds. Then, the light dissipated.
A futuristic, silver-white room had replaced the formerly simple kitchen.
[Basic Training Room]
[Status: Awaiting Activation]
[Energy Reserve: 100/100]
[Description: When activated, the flow of time inside the training room will differ from the outside world. Current time flow ratio is 1.2:1, meaning for every 1.2 hours spent in the training room, only 1 hour passes outside! The Energy Reserve is used to maintain this time difference. Each compressed energy block provides 10 points to the Energy Reserve. Every 100 points of Energy Reserve is estimated to power the training room for 24 hours!]
Seraphina Sinclair stared blankly at the panel before her, her breathing involuntarily softening.
1.2 to 1.
The ratio echoed in her mind.
The seemingly insignificant time difference had monumental implications!
If she could train in there consistently, over time she would gain nearly twenty percent more time than everyone else out of thin air.
With twenty percent more time, how many more combat techniques could she hone? How many more times could she practice drawing runes?
Even if she did nothing but rest, she would be better rested than others!
’Time... is the greatest asset of all.’
At this moment, Seraphina Sinclair understood this statement on a profound level.
She strode forward and touched the matte glass door.
The door slid silently to one side, and a rush of air smelling of citrus-scented freshener washed over her.
The interior of the training room was much simpler than she had imagined.
The silver-white walls and floor were a seamless whole, with sleek, austere lines.
In the center of the room was a square training area of about ten square meters. The floor seemed to be made of some special kind of cushioned material.
A simple, freestanding weapons rack was fixed in the corner, currently empty.
On the opposite wall was a huge mirror that took up half the wall, reflecting her currently stunned expression.
Other than that, it had all the common Strength training equipment you’d find in a gym.
As for the so-called Speed training facility... Seraphina Sinclair’s gaze shifted to the treadmill.
For now, at least, that seemed to be the only piece of equipment for it in the room.
The most eye-catching feature was a metal control console at the far end of the room. Its surface was slightly slanted and had several recessed slots and a palm-sized screen. The screen was currently displaying the words [Awaiting Activation] and the 100/100 Energy Reserve value.
’Energy Reserve... compressed energy blocks.’ Seraphina Sinclair immediately recalled the information from the Description.
Each compressed energy block provided 10 energy points, and 100 points could run it for 24 hours.
This meant it would consume a full 10 compressed energy blocks every 24 hours.
That was definitely a significant expense.
She only had a little over a hundred energy stones on hand, and a hundred of them had already been used to create the training room.
Even if she used the rest to power the training room, it wouldn’t last more than a few days.
And based on the description of compressed energy blocks, the longer one survived, the more widespread their uses would likely become.
Conversely, right now, most survivors had no use for compressed energy blocks yet.
"I have to take advantage of this... and collect more," Seraphina Sinclair murmured, a heavy weight in her heart.
Every advantage came with a price. That was one of the rules of The Black Mist World.
She sighed, her desire to try out the training room completely gone. The cabin was still moving. Activating it now would be nothing but a waste of the Energy Reserve.
However, it seemed that aside from controlling the time flow, the other functions didn’t consume energy.
Seraphina Sinclair got on the treadmill and ran for a while at its top speed, but she couldn’t feel it doing her any good.
The treadmill was too slow, and its effect was a far cry from the Wind-carved Fissure. It was hard to go back to basics after experiencing something so much better.
As for Strength training...
Seraphina Sinclair walked over to the professional-looking equipment.
There was a full set: a cable machine, dumbbells, and barbell plates.
She tried adjusting the weights on the machine, starting directly with the heaviest setting!
After working up a sweat for a while, Seraphina Sinclair walked to the huge mirror.
Her reflection in the mirror showed a slightly flushed face, her bangs damp with sweat, but her eyes were a little brighter than when she had first come in.
The Strength training was indeed somewhat useful, but... the efficiency was still not high enough. The improvement was too gradual.
She sighed, gave her new "kitchen" one last look, and returned to the main part of the mobile cabin with mixed feelings.
She had spent too much time in the training room. It seemed the black mist had already surged in several times. Two monsters were now inside the mobile cabin, tearing at each other, neither willing to back down.
