Survive in the Black Mist: My Sunflower Can Navigate
Chapter 161: E+ Healing Potion
Chapter 161: Chapter 161: E+ Healing Potion
[Pretty Guardian]: This is great! Thanks for giving me this chance! Which runes are you willing to trade? I have plenty of F-level Potions in stock, and some E-level Enhancement Potions as well. It just depends on how many you want to trade. If you need a lot, it might take me a day or two.
Seraphina Sinclair didn’t need that many. She only wanted them because it was better to have some than none. As long as she had a supply on hand, she wasn’t going to press for more.
After some negotiation, Seraphina Sinclair settled on a price of one Fire Drawing Rune for three F-level Potions and one Heavenly Light Rune for three Enhancement Potions. In the end, she acquired 12 bottles each of three different potions.
This would be enough to last her for a long time.
Besides the trades for these potions...
Seraphina Sinclair asked tentatively, "Among the materials you need, is there something called Silverfish Mucus?"
She had acquired this material after eating the flesh of a Blackmist Silverfish. The taste had been so overpowering, after all, that it was hard not to connect the two things.
’There’s a pharmacist right here, ready and waiting. If I can sell off the Silverfish Mucus piling up in my Silver Moon Earrings, that wouldn’t be a bad thing at all!’
[Pretty Guardian]: Silverfish Mucus? Boss, you actually have something like that?!
[Pretty Guardian]: Yes! Desperately! It’s a core ingredient for one of my E-level recipes, and I was just stressing about where to find it! I don’t even know where it comes from. I had to buy some from a profiteer just to make the potions I gave you!
’The potions she gave me?’
’It must be the Healing Potions, then.’
’And this person is clearly getting excited.’
Seraphina Sinclair watched the other party’s urgency, which seemed to practically spill out of the screen, as her fingers tapped slowly and deliberately.
[Blacktiger Ford]: Let’s not talk about exchange amounts yet. Tell me, what can you make with it? What are the effects? How many Healing Potions can you get from one unit of material?
This time, the other person was genuinely surprised.
’Is Blacktiger Ford really not some kind of Daoist?’
’It’s one thing to be able to do rune painting, but she can even predict things!’
Pretty Guardian’s eyes widened in shock. A moment later, she replied, very reluctantly:
[Pretty Guardian]: It’s a Healing Potion, but the quality comes out as E+. The effect is about thirty percent stronger than the regular E-level Healing Potion I gave you before! And... uh, one unit of material can probably make two to three bottles. It’s just that my success rate isn’t very high right now.
’An E+ Level Healing Potion, with a thirty percent boost in effectiveness.’
’The E-level Healing Potion was the kind she had used before, which meant this E+ Potion would have the same effect as an Advanced Medical Kit.’
’And one unit of material can yield two to three bottles...’
’That production efficiency was a bit better than she had anticipated.’
’Stockpiling more potions wouldn’t have any downsides; it would only make Seraphina feel more secure!’
’This partnership is completely viable!’
[Blacktiger Ford]: As for the Silverfish Mucus I have, what kind of trade are you proposing?
[Pretty Guardian]: How much do you have, Boss?! If it’s a large quantity, I can trade you finished E+ Healing Potions directly for it! One unit of material for one bottle of E+ Healing Potion, how about it? Even though one unit can ideally make two or three bottles, my success rate is really not high, and there are other material costs. This ratio is very fair!
Seraphina Sinclair did a quick calculation.
’Trading raw materials for a finished product—and a better-quality one at that—was not a losing deal for her.’
[Blacktiger Ford]: Deal. I’ll give you twelve units of material to start.
[Pretty Guardian]: Twelve units?! That’s great! Thank you, Boss! I’ll get right on it! I’ll give them to you as soon as they’re done!
’Whether it was "right away" or not wasn’t up to her,’
Seraphina Sinclair thought, listing out the conditions one by one in the trade contract. The delivery time was, of course, included.
Once everything was listed, she sent the trade contract over, placed the Silverfish Mucus in the trade slot, and waited for the other party to sign.
The other party seemed taken aback by the sudden, formal contract for a moment, but soon, the contract’s status changed to "Signed."
[Pretty Guardian]: Signed, signed! Don’t worry, Boss! I’m going into seclusion to craft these potions right away!
With the trade complete, Seraphina Sinclair stored the Potions in her Silver Moon Earrings, then stood up and stretched.
The mobile hut suddenly trembled, as if it were beginning to slow down.
Seraphina Sinclair raised an eyebrow slightly, realizing they must be nearing a stop. She bent down and promptly retrieved the compass.
The hut shook for a moment more before coming to a steady halt.
Seraphina Sinclair strode over and pulled open the tightly shut wooden door. A body of water floating in the air came into view.
Growing excited, she immediately took out the fishing tools from last time from her Silver Moon Earrings.
Before casting her net, she stared intently at this new sky-lake for a while. This time, the water’s color seemed much lighter than before.
Moreover... Seraphina Sinclair bent down, trying to get a better look outside. The last sky-lake was called a lake, but it was really just a blob of water floating in the air. This body of water, however, was clearly much, much larger. From inside the mobile hut, Seraphina couldn’t see its end at all.
’The water’s color is different, and the size is different, which means...’
’The type of fish must be different too, right?’
As Seraphina Sinclair thought this, her hands didn’t slow in the slightest.
She skillfully extended the landing net into the water. The mouth of the net opened the instant it touched the surface, then slowly sank into the gray-black depths.
’She was an old hand at this by now. If she focused her mind and targeted just one, there was no way she wouldn’t be able to catch it!’
Seraphina Sinclair’s wrist felt a slight dip, and she was just about to exert her strength...
But the fish she was staring at intently suddenly flicked its tail—not to flee, but to charge upward, straight at the net’s opening!
Icy droplets of water splashed onto her cheeks. They stung a little, but the stinging was much less intense than that from the black rain.
These thoughts flashed through her mind in an instant.
The net was knocked upward by a clever burst of force. Just as Seraphina Sinclair thought she had caught it, the rim of the net grazed past the fish’s tail, scooping up nothing but water.
"Huh?" She raised an eyebrow, defiantly casting her net again.
This time she changed her strategy, faking a move before quickly changing direction, angling the net’s opening to slice in beneath the fish’s belly.
But the wretched fish seemed to anticipate her actions. With a gentle flick of its tail fin, it used the current’s push to glide sideways, evading her like an elegant dancer gracefully avoiding an encirclement.
It even lingered for a moment at the edge of Seraphina Sinclair’s net, its round, black eyes seeming to glance at her before it leisurely sank into the deeper, darker water.
Seraphina Sinclair pulled back her fishing net, her expression grim.
’That fish... was it mocking me just now?’
Seraphina Sinclair stood up straight, intending to try again, but the fish unhurriedly swam over and slapped its tail, splashing some of the black water out.
Judging by the water’s trajectory, it was aimed right at Seraphina Sinclair’s face.
If this had been the Seraphina Sinclair who first encountered a sky-lake, she probably would have fallen for it. But the person she was now simply tilted her head slightly and dodged.
She almost laughed in exasperation, but she persistently kept her eyes locked on the target and began her third attempt.
Seraphina Sinclair slowed her movements to a crawl. The mouth of the net opened stealthily, like a lurking predator, as she gradually closed in.
