Chapter 143: Chapter 143: Exclusive Space

’Is it because the most powerful monster in this trial was that D-level Hundred-Eyed Rotfiend?’

’So all the drops are D-level too?’

Seraphina Sinclair lowered her gaze, thinking hard.

’The system did say in the server-wide announcement that this was a trial.’

’Since it’s a trial, there won’t be just one. This time it was the Moonlight Jellyfish migration. I wonder what’s next...’

’And... there must be some kind of trigger for it, right?’

’Could it be because there was an instance today?’

Seraphina Sinclair knew this was pure speculation, but besides guessing blindly, she had no other leads.

’Who can blame me? In this godforsaken place, survivors are at the bottom of the food chain. No matter what news there is, we’re always the last to know.’

Seraphina Sinclair sighed softly and stopped thinking about it.

’Right now, the most important thing is to figure out how to plant this Holy Tree.’

’Once it’s planted, it’ll start producing Moonlight Condensed Dew. With Moonlight Condensed Dew, I can create D-level Talismans. And with D-level Talismans, I won’t have to rely on sheer luck when fighting D-level monsters!’

’Come to think of it, this isn’t just an important matter—this is a matter of life and death!’

Seraphina Sinclair hesitated for a moment in front of the Holy Tree, then reached out to touch it.

Her fingertips felt like they touched a thin film separating her from the tree.

’This must be the liquid Moonlight the Description mentioned, right?’

’Whatever it is...’ Seraphina Sinclair’s expression turned troubled. After a moment of hesitation, she finally managed to lift the Holy Tree, sighing in relief.

’After all, if I couldn’t even pick it up, I wouldn’t be able to move it.’

’The first step is done. Next is to figure out this "exclusive space" problem.’

’Exclusive space...’

Seraphina Sinclair had two interpretations of this term. The first was a space exclusive *to* the Holy Tree, meaning the tree alone couldn’t produce Moonlight Condensed Dew; it needed another item called an "exclusive space."

’That possibility would be infuriating!’

’It would mean I can’t get any Moonlight Condensed Dew for the foreseeable future!’

The second interpretation was based on the subject of the sentence being "the holder." So, Seraphina Sinclair took it to mean that the Holy Tree needed to be planted in the holder’s exclusive space.

’If it’s the second possibility... isn’t that my mobile cabin?’

Seraphina Sinclair blinked, then spent a moment inside the mobile cabin, trying to figure out how to plant it.

The Holy Tree had no control panel, which meant a new panel would likely pop up when it was time to plant.

’The fact that a new one would need to pop up indirectly proves the mobile cabin isn’t the "exclusive space."’

Seraphina Sinclair fell silent. ’Then again,’ she thought, ’I’m here, Sunflower is here, and sometimes even monsters get in. The chances of this being an "exclusive space" are indeed slim.’

’Then... the bathroom?’

Seraphina Sinclair raised an eyebrow, her hope reignited.

She picked up the small, floating tree and, with a thought, transported herself to the bathroom.

The good news was that the Holy Tree did enter the bathroom with her.

The bad news was that nothing popped up.

Unwilling to give up, Seraphina Sinclair studied it for a while longer. She was thoroughly disappointed when she found the Holy Tree was no different than when it was in the mobile cabin.

’Looks like the bathroom is a no-go.’

’Was my second guess wrong from the start?’

’If the mobile cabin doesn’t work because monsters can get in, why doesn’t the bathroom work?’

Seraphina Sinclair was frowning in thought when it suddenly hit her. Her whole expression brightened, and her brow smoothed out.

’The bathroom is just an extension of the mobile cabin! They’re essentially the same space!’

’If the mobile cabin doesn’t work, then of course the bathroom won’t either!’

’This exclusive space... if I’m not mistaken...’

Seraphina Sinclair reached up and gently stroked the Silver Moon Earrings on her ear. A wisp of mist, forever swirling, was sealed within the Stone.

It just sat there on her ear, so unobtrusive she barely noticed its presence.

’That’s right.’

’How could I have forgotten about it?’

Muttering an apology to her Silver Moon Earrings, Seraphina Sinclair began the attempt, full of hope.

’Holy Tree... Earrings...’ Seraphina Sinclair reached out her hand, then stopped.

’Wait.’

’The Silver Moon Earrings can’t store living things.’

’But that can’t be right...’

’My logic was perfectly sound!’

’Just try it.’

’There’s no harm in trying, anyway.’

With that thought, Seraphina Sinclair placed her hand on the Holy Tree. At her mental command, the tree vanished before her eyes!

A panel immediately popped up in its place!

[The Holy Tree has been planted in the exclusive space! Its state will stabilize in seven days!]

Seraphina Sinclair’s pupils dilated slightly. As the realization of what happened sank in, a wave of joy washed over her!

’It’s planted!’

This was the first time in her life she’d ever been this happy about planting a tree.

"I can’t believe you, Holy Tree. You looked so honest, pretending to be alive when you’re really inanimate!"

Seraphina Sinclair quipped, still in a very good mood.

The only fly in the ointment was...

"Its state will stabilize in seven days."

She would have to wait seven days before the Holy Tree started producing Moonlight Condensed Dew.

She didn’t know what the yield would be yet, so she could only hope for a high output.

But overall, she was still delighted!

Seraphina Sinclair returned to the mobile cabin and checked the time.

It was already almost eight o’clock. Unfortunately, she had only moved twice today, and still had 100 sunshine left.

The Hundred-Eyed Rotfiend had wasted too much of her time.

But Seraphina Sinclair was always an optimist. She didn’t have a strict goal of using up all her sunshine each day. ’It couldn’t be helped. I can just use it tomorrow,’ she thought.

She was in a good mood, and remembering she still had a D-level Supply Box to open made her feel even better.

But people tend to get hungry after a fight, and forcing herself to inspect those two gifts had been her limit. Plus, with the spectacular gift from the Moonlight Jellyfish setting such a high bar, she wasn’t as excited about the D-level Supply Box anymore.

Seraphina Sinclair thought for a moment and decided to eat first.

’The items aren’t going anywhere. I can look after I eat.’

She tore open a meal ticket and, while waiting for the food to be served, opened the regional chat.

The atmosphere in the mobile cabin was cozy, while in the regional chat, RookSolosGruel was still showing off their linguistic talents.

"Did you get your head slammed in a door, or was it kicked by a donkey? Acting? Why don’t you ’act’ up a server-wide system announcement for me to see? If you can’t, then shut up and sit down. Don’t come out here showing off your walnut-sized brain!"

"And ’blacklisting’ me? That’s hilarious. You think the system belongs to your family? You say blacklist, and I get blacklisted? Why don’t you just ascend to heaven while you’re at it? All you can do is stamp your feet in a fit of impotent rage!"

Watching the text scroll rapidly across the screen, Seraphina Sinclair couldn’t help but chuckle.

RookSolosGruel really did have a unique style of insulting people. It was rhythmic, their word choice was vicious, and it all had a lively, street-smart flavor that was strangely satisfying to read.

Today’s meal was random, as always. In just a moment, the food was automatically served.

Feeling calm and ready to enjoy her meal, Seraphina Sinclair glanced at it casually. Her body stiffened. Her brow furrowed, and she looked again in disbelief.
