Seraphina Sinclair suppressed the turmoil in her heart, her face unreadable. She turned to Hannah Morgan and Milo Shaw. "What about you two? Are you coming?"

Her gaze lingered on Hannah Morgan for a moment.

Hannah Morgan could, of course, see that this Serafelle Sinclair had wanted the Moonlight Powder from the very beginning. It was just a shame Chloe Reed couldn’t keep her composure.

Hannah Morgan and Milo Shaw also nodded with solemn expressions.

Seraphina Sinclair said no more. She turned and was the first to step onto the dark staircase, with the others following close behind.

Seraphina Sinclair’s so-called confidence naturally came from her Corpse Annihilation Talisman.

When these things had first come to life, Seraphina Sinclair had used Insight to check on them. She couldn’t quite remember the monsters’ names, but she did remember that they were E-level!

Seraphina Sinclair was the first to step out of the darkness. Under the shocked gazes of the others, she made no preparations at all, simply taking a single step into the third area.

And the moment she entered, the tranquility of the area was instantly shattered!

The previously motionless, twisted, humanoid vines seemed to be activated by an unseen force. The flowers and leaves at their tops unfurled at an astonishing speed, emitting a skin-crawling rustling sound.

Low, malicious roars echoed from all directions as innumerable vine-limbs began to writhe madly, struggling to break free from their roots. They surged forward like a tide, exuding a savage aura that promised to tear any intruder to shreds!

Chloe Reed was so terrified she nearly collapsed, desperately clamping her mouth shut to keep a scream from escaping her throat.

Hannah Morgan and Milo Shaw also turned deathly pale. They instinctively took defensive stances, their hearts pounding so hard they felt like they would burst from their chests.

They simply couldn’t understand why Seraphina Sinclair would charge straight in like that to her death!

But at the center of the storm, Seraphina Sinclair, the target of all the monsters, was exceptionally calm. She even used Insight again to check what these monsters were called.

[Description]: They are rooted in soil rich with negative energy, feeding on the flesh, blood, and fear of living creatures. Their vine-limbs are as tough as iron, and the edges of their leaves are as sharp as knives. The monsters lunged with fierce, violent movements, carrying an air of "tear her to shreds or die trying." The others, still outside the area, broke out in a cold sweat for Seraphina Sinclair.

She didn’t retreat a single step. With just a flick of her wrist, a rune appeared between her fingertips.

The fragments of the rune burst into flame without fire, transforming into a stream of dim, blood-red light that shot into the ground at her feet.

A low hum spread out violently from Seraphina Sinclair! A visible, translucent, dark-red force field instantly expanded, like an overturned bowl, trapping her and all the monsters inside!

The movements of all the monsters in the field came to an abrupt halt!

It was as if a high-speed scene had been put on slow-motion. Their brandished, sharp vine-arms became incredibly sluggish, their struggling, writhing torsos seemed to be mired in an invisible swamp, and even their malicious roars became drawn-out and distorted, filled with a sort of... terror?

But that wasn’t all!

The dark-red force field flickered faintly. On the twisted, plant-based bodies of the vine monsters enveloped by the field, tiny pores, as if from corrosion, began to appear!

HISSS...

A dense chorus of faint sounds, like something being corroded and dissolved, rose up.

Not only did the vine monsters’ movements become extremely slow, but under the force field’s Erosion, their bodies began to wither and weaken at a visible rate!

A few of the seemingly weakest vine monsters even let out silent wails before freezing abruptly. Then, like sand sculptures weathered by the wind, they cracked, crumbled, and disintegrated, turning into a pile of charred remains on the ground!
