Survival of the Nation: I Can Specify the Items That Will Drop
Chapter 617: Top-Grade Blood Crystal
Liu San knelt down on the ground with a thud.
"I'm innocent, General! How could I have dared to do that! I stayed by your side the whole time, and I didn't even glance anywhere else!"
He looked up abruptly, as if grasping at a straw: "Someone must have gotten in before us! Yes! Someone must have gotten in before us!"
Tie Dun grabbed Liu San by the collar and lifted him up.
"Say it again? Who came in first?"
Liu San trembled with fear, tears and snot streaming down his face: "General, spare me! I really didn't know! I...I..."
"That's enough."
Su Yurou stepped forward and gently tugged at Tiedun's arm.
"Brother Tiedun, let him go."
Her gaze swept over the empty weapon racks and storage cabinets, and after a moment, her tone lowered.
"I think... I know what happened."
Tie Dun was stunned for a moment, then let go of Liu San, who collapsed to the ground, panting heavily.
"What does that mean?"
Su Yurou explained, "Do you remember that gust of wind that blew out of the Blood Abyss Palace just now?"
Tie Dun frowned: "What happened to that gust of wind?"
"That gust of wind not only killed those at the Innate Realm and above, but also turned their blue-quality or higher equipment to ash."
Su Yurou pointed to the empty shelves, "The quality of the items in this treasure vault was probably within that range; they were all blown away by that gust of wind."
Wang Wu nodded in agreement: "Yu Rou is right. I noticed before that all the blue-quality weapons in the hands of those post-natal disciples have also disappeared."
Only those below green quality remain on the body.
After hearing this, Tie Dun was stunned for a long time.
Then he plopped down on the ground, looking utterly dejected.
"What am I going to do now? I was thinking of bringing back a few pieces of gold equipment for the lord, so he could praise me a bit. Now look what's happened, it's all gone to ashes!"
Feng Qingyan pouted as well: "This is such a waste... Such a huge treasure trove, and we're just showing them nothing?"
The more than one hundred disciples looked at each other, not daring to utter a sound.
Liu San was still kneeling on the ground, but his eyes started to dart around.
Suddenly, he slapped his thigh.
"General! I remember now! The equipment is gone, but the Blood Crystals might still be there!"
He pulled out a blood-red crystal the size of a pigeon egg from his pocket and held it high in both hands.
"Look! This is a top-grade blood crystal! I just pulled it out from under the body of a senior brother who had turned to ashes! That wind could turn people and equipment to dust, but this blood crystal didn't disappear!"
Tie Dun, who had been sitting on the ground looking utterly hopeless, suddenly stood up upon hearing this, snatched the blood crystal, and held it up to the light.
The dark red luster flowed in my palm, warm and deep, it was definitely genuine.
Hey! It really is!
"Of course!" Liu San nodded hurriedly, pecking his head like a chicken pecking at rice. "There's a special storage room at the very back of the treasure vault, where all the blood crystals are! Boxes and boxes piled high!"
Tie Dun's eyes lit up completely: "You should have said so sooner! I almost cried just now!"
"I just remembered! I just remembered!" Liu San said with a smile, getting up and leading the way inside.
The five exchanged glances and followed behind, with the other post-natal disciples also swarming after them.
After passing through two stone gates, at the end there was indeed a large iron gate.
The door was thick and half-closed, but the iron block didn't hold back and kicked it.
"Bang!"
The door creaked open, and a cool, pungent smell mixed with the stench of blood and old wood wafted out.
Everyone peered inside...
The room was filled with a dim, reddish light, like entering the Dragon King's treasure vault.
Tie Dun opened his mouth and muttered, "My goodness... this trip wasn't in vain after all."
The entire basement was filled with boxes.
The deep red wooden crates, square in shape and sealed with sheet metal, were stacked neatly one after another, stretching from the ground all the way to the dome.
Iron Block lifted the nearest box.
Inside the box, the top-grade blood crystals were lined with red velvet and fixed in rows within wooden compartments.
One hundred in one layer, ten layers above and below, exactly one thousand in total. All that met the eye was a dark red glow, as if someone had locked an entire patch of blood-red mist inside a box.
"One box contains a thousand pieces..." Wang Wu quickly scanned the area. "There are at least six hundred boxes here."
"Six hundred thousand high-grade blood crystals!" Feng Qingyan's eyes widened. "That... is equivalent to six hundred thousand blue crystals!"
"We're rich! We're really rich!" Tie Dun grinned, his back teeth showing, as he hugged the box. "This trip wasn't in vain! These blood crystals alone will be enough for our territory for decades!"
"Tiedun, put the box down. You're strong, don't crush it," Wang Wu said.
"I know! I'm being gentle!" Tie Dun said, but he still couldn't bear to let go.
Just then, Liu San suddenly appeared again.
He ran to the deepest part of the basement and pulled out two boxes covered with black cloth from a corner.
When the black cloth was lifted, the box was revealed to be entirely dark gold, with fine patterns engraved on its surface and a blood-red emblem embedded in the clasp.
"My lord! My lord! There are two more here! Golden chests!" Liu San's voice trembled. "Could these be... top-grade blood crystals?!"
Tie Dun put the box he was holding aside, rushed over in a few steps, and yanked open the lid.
Golden light mixed with blood red gushed out of the box.
Inside the box, there were rows of top-grade blood crystals, each the size of an egg, their red light illuminating half of the basement.
The other box was equally full, no less impressive.
Wang Wu picked one up, examined it in his palm for a moment: "Top-grade blood crystal, which can be directly converted into purple energy crystals. These two boxes together... no less than a thousand."
"A thousand purple crystals?" Feng Qingyan gasped. "I've been saving them for half a year and I've only managed to collect half a crystal!"
"Go back and report to the lord, and ask him to give you two pieces of candy to buy." Arrow Eye replied expressionlessly.
"Get out of here! Get out of here!" Feng Qingyan waved her hand, as if shooing away flies. "You're the one who needs to buy candy to appease yourself."
"We've struck it rich! We've struck it rich! This time we've really struck it rich!"
Tie Dun was holding a golden box and laughing like a 200-pound child.
Arrow Eyes rarely showed a hint of a smile: "Wipe your drool before you talk about making money."
Tie Dun looked down and saw that his saliva had dripped onto the box again.
He quickly wiped himself clean and chuckled, "Hehe, I'm so excited, so excited!"
Su Yurou shook her head helplessly, but the corners of her mouth couldn't help but turn up slightly.
Liu San and the disciples behind him were also envious, but none of them dared to make a move.
Wang Wu turned around and pointed to the rows of boxes: "Don't just stand there, everyone! Two boxes each, carry them out. Whoever carries the most gets credit, and whoever's hands aren't clean..."
He paused, his gaze sweeping over everyone.
"Be careful, your life might be in danger."
Liu San was the first to rush forward, slinging the two boxes over his shoulder and running faster than a rabbit.
The others followed suit, some carrying, some hugging, and the group cleared the entire basement out like worker ants moving house.
Tie Dun nodded in satisfaction as he watched this scene.
"Hehe, free labor is so useful."
After saying that, he walked to the two golden boxes, picked one up in each hand, and carried them on his shoulders.
The two golden boxes together must weigh at least a thousand pounds, but Tie Dun carried them on his shoulder without batting an eye.
He strode out of the vault, laughing as he went.
"Hehehe... I'm rich... I'm rich..."
Feng Qingyan laughed so hard she almost fell over when she saw Tiedun's silly expression.
"Brother Tiedun, you're smiling like an idiot."
Tie Dun walked to the door, then suddenly turned back to look at the basement that had been moved to pieces, and let out a heartfelt sigh.
"That Blood Abyss Sect, they're really something else! They left behind so many treasures even after they died. They're more reliable than my donkey."
