William released his lance and drew the broadsword, standard issue for the Knights Templar, from his waist.

The holy light enchantment on the sword shimmered with a pale golden glow in the firelight.

Before he could adjust his sword grip, a shadow wolf leaped onto his horse's back from the side, its mouth split open to its ears, and two rows of fine teeth bit down on the back of his neck.

"Lower your head!" Robert's voice boomed.

William instinctively ducked his head, and a short spear flew past the top of his helmet, pinning the Shadow Wolf to the ground.

The tip of the short spear pierced through the Shadow Wolf's left eye and emerged from the back of its head, splattering purple fluid onto William's helmet.

The one throwing the spear was another Templar Knight, who had already reined in his horse and was directing a small squad of cadets to regroup and form a charge.

William was panting heavily, his hand gripping the sword trembling slightly.

It's not fear, it's a physiological reaction caused by excessive secretion of adrenaline.

He looked at the Templar knight who had saved him with a spear, wanting to say thank you, but the knight had already spurred his horse and galloped off in another direction, leaving only his back view.

"What are you standing there for! Follow me!" Robert reined in his horse and turned around. The gray warhorse reared up, pawed at the ground a few times with its front hooves, and then landed heavily on the ground.

He glanced at William's pale face, muttered "The reaction is alright," then raised his voice and roared, "Don't let your guard down, brothers! Stay alert!"

The charge of 50,000 cavalrymen tore a huge gap in the right flank of the Nightmare army.

The cavalrymen were divided into dozens of assault echelons, advancing steadily into the interior in a wave-like rhythm.

The first wave of attack tore through the defenses, the second wave widened the gap, and the third wave poured in through the gap, disrupting the enemy's rear.

The Nightmare Cavalry attempted to mount a counterattack, but their formation had already been shattered by the trampling of the Mammoth Captain and the crushing of the Rhinoceros Elephant.

The Templars' lances have a natural advantage over Nightmare Cavalry in a frontal charge; the lances are longer than scythes, and their charging speed is also faster than the Nightmare Cavalry's gliding speed.

A Templar Knight pierced the head of a Nightmare cavalryman who was trying to intercept him with his lance, the tip of the lance going through the horse's body and pinning the rider and horse to the ground.

The cadet knights behind them filled in from the flanks, their longswords and maces smashing the Nightmare Cavalrymen, who hadn't even had time to draw their weapons, into pieces.

The 75,000 infantrymen on the left flank followed closely behind the cavalry, with shield bearers in front and swordsmen and axemen behind, advancing rapidly along the path cleared by the cavalry.

Their mission was to hold the gap on both sides to prevent the Nightmare army from closing the encirclement again, while putting pressure on the Nightmare central army from the flanks.

Under the leadership of their respective commanders, the elite troops of each nation's city-level territories steadily advanced, clearing out the remaining Shadow Wolves and Corpse Men around the breach one by one.

The mammoth war elephants continued their advance.

A mammoth's trunk snatched up a dead tree trunk and swung it like a broom. Where the trunk swept, several fleeing wriths were smashed into black mist fragments.

Just then, ten dark purple figures burst through the air from the depths of the Nightmare Army.

The cloak billowed as shadow energy surged, and the dark red light from the vertical crack on the white mask stood out starkly in the firelight.

Nightmare Shadowweaver, ten level 35 rare bosses attacking simultaneously!

The mental pulses intertwined in the air to form a dense network of commands, reintegrating the remaining Nightmare units around them and setting up a new defensive line in front of the Mammoth Captain.

The five Shadowweavers each confronted a mammoth captain, their Twisted Touch shadow tentacles shooting out from their fingertips, flying straight toward the mammoth's weak point on its head.

The mammoth lieutenant quickly curled up its trunk, swatting away the tentacles that were aimed at its head, but the impact of the tentacles still caused one of the mammoths to slip on the ground with its foreleg.

A shadow rift opened beneath the mammoth's feet, and the six-second shadow energy erosion caused corrosive marks on the mammoth captain's leg joints, with more than a dozen small wounds oozing dark red blood.

The other five Shadowweavers roamed the perimeter, deploying a shadow barrier that reduced the damage taken by all Nightmare units within a five-meter radius by 30%.

One of the Shadowweavers was illuminated by the 【Armor Unity】 glow of its purple suit, which lasted for three minutes.

During the skill's active period, damage is calculated based on the user's total defense, regardless of which part of the body the enemy attacks.

It didn't linger on the perimeter, but charged directly at the back of one of the mammoth captains.

The arrow towers on the mammoth's back and the two thousand men will be the weak points of this steel behemoth. Once the men on its back are dealt with, this behemoth will completely lose its battlefield awareness.

On the back of that mammoth, the two commanders of a thousand men simultaneously noticed the threat.

The one on the left is Zhao Changji, and the one on the right is Sun Pojun.

The purple armor of both of them simultaneously glowed with the 【Armor Unification】 effect.

Behind them stood a second-tier healer, whom his teammates called Doctor He. The staff in his hand was glowing with a pale golden holy light.

"It's coming at us."

Sun Pojun stared at the approaching dark purple figure and gripped his halberd tightly.

"I see. Lao He, step back and heal us. Don't come up here."

Without turning his head, Zhao Changji leaped off the mammoth's back.

In mid-air, Zhao Changji held his battle halberd horizontally in front of him, facing the Shadow Weaver head-on.

The Shadow Weaver raised his skeletal right hand, and a twisted tentacle shot out in a straight line, tearing through the air and aiming straight for Zhao Changji's chest.

The tentacles slammed into the halberd shaft, splashing out shadow energy. Zhao Changji used the recoil to stabilize himself in mid-air, while simultaneously thrusting the halberd out from below, aiming straight for the black mist beneath the Shadow Weaver's cloak.

The Shadow Weaver slightly turned his body, and with a sweep of his left hand in the air, a shadow rift opened beneath Zhao Changji's feet, releasing a surge of shadow energy that caused continuous damage.

"Old Zhao!" Sun Pojun leaped out after him, activating 【Sharp Arrow - Sudden Pierce】, increasing his agility by 30%, and his halberd pierced towards the Shadow Weaver's waist from the side like an arrow.

The Shadow Weaver was forced to break the maintenance of the gap, and used his right hand to defend. The Shadow Barrier was deployed, reducing the force of Sun Pojun's battle halberd by 30%.

The halberd tip pierced into the black mist a few inches before getting stuck. It then unleashed another twisting touch, aiming at Sun Pojun's face at close range.

Sun Pojun parried with his halberd, but his tentacles struck the halberd shaft, the impact propelling him backward.

However, with nowhere to gain leverage in mid-air, the three separated as soon as they touched.

The Shadow Weaver used the recoil from the shadow tentacles to drift backward, while Zhao Changji and Sun Pojun plummeted rapidly under the pull of gravity.

"Bang! Bang!"

Two heavy figures crashed down on the mammoth's broad back almost simultaneously, causing the muscles on the mammoth's back to tremble.
