Surrounded by the Billionaire's Deep Doting
Chapter 1194 - 801: Why Do You Play the Piano?
"Old Fourth, it’s rare for Mr. Zhou to visit, so watch what you say."
Yin Shaohui reminded Yin Shixiu, who nodded in agreement, but it seemed to be just for appearances.
Su Xiaomeng and Yin Shixiu sat down.
Zhou Guangren eyed Yin Shixiu, then after a long while, said angrily, "No wonder that brat has no spirit at such a young age, like a little poker face, turns out he takes after you, boy. Now it doesn’t surprise me."
Yin Shixiu just chuckled and was about to speak when Su Xiaomeng hurriedly chimed in, "Speaking of which, did Mr. Zhou come here today to see Huaiyu?"
"Who would come to see that clueless brat? You’re his mom, tell him later, that silly boy, he’ll regret it someday. One day he’ll realize what he unknowingly rejected at such a young age!"
Zhou Guangren’s words sounded like a sulky child, perhaps even more childish than a child.
Nowadays, old folks might really be more amusing than ever.
"Alright, alright, Mr. Zhou, please don’t be upset. It’s my fault as a grandfather and father for not disciplining him strictly. You came all this way and ended up upset. Butler, is the food ready?"
"Almost ready, sir."
The butler shouted in response. Yin Shaohui chuckled, "Let’s wash our hands and get ready to eat?"
Zhou Guangren quickly said to Yin Shaohui, "Old buddy, are you going to serve me some good food?"
"Don’t worry, the dishes will suit your taste, as long as your taste hasn’t changed."
Zhou Guangren seemed satisfied with the promise and went off to wash his hands and took his seat.
Xiao Meng, following Yin Shixiu closely, was already bursting with gossip. "What, what? Did Mr. Zhou chase after Aunt Shaoqun in the past?"
"Yeah, fiercely when they were young."
"Wow, then why didn’t Aunt Shaoqun ever get together with him?"
"Look at that old man, if it were you, would you be happy?"
"That’s not my type..."
Su Xiaomeng quickly replied, noting the little smirk on Yin Shixiu’s face, muttered, "You’re not my type either..."
"Tut tut, Meng Meng, you’re not speaking sincerely."
Yin Shixiu replied seriously, only to receive an eye-roll from Su Xiaomeng.
"Even if they didn’t get together before, what about after... Aunt Shaoqun lost her husband early on, why didn’t this old man seize the chance?"
Su Xiaomeng seemed influenced by Yin Shixiu, now casually referring to the old man.
"Who knows... But I think, if you truly love someone, then even if that person disappears from the world, you won’t go looking for someone else to take their place... even if others might want to seize the opportunity."
Yin Shixiu said.
"You two, stop discussing this. Aunt Shaoqun is a thorn in Mr. Zhou’s side, and you are juniors; it’s impolite to poke at it whether or not it’s a matter worth discussing."
Zhou Mengqin had unknowingly walked over, quietly reminding Yin Shixiu and Su Xiaomeng.
Xiao Meng quickly nodded, "Alright, got it. We won’t talk about it... or rather, not in front of Mr. Zhou."
"..." Yin Shixiu chuckled quietly, then saw Su Xiaomeng sidle up to Zhou Mengqin to ask, "Mom, do you know the history between Aunt Shaoqun and Mr. Zhou...? Tell us about it sometime!"
Zhou Mengqin glanced at Su Xiaomeng, "You’re such... a mischief!"
"Hehe!"
"Mr. Zhou truly wants to take Huang Huang as his student. Despite his harsh words, his special visit says it all."
Zhou Mengqin said.
"Where’s Huang Huang? Why didn’t he come over for lunch?"
"After breakfast, he’s shut himself in the piano room and won’t come out. Doesn’t look in good spirits."
Su Xiaomeng briefly explained.
Zhou Mengqin merely nodded in response as, after all, the person most knowledgeable in piano matters, Yin Shaoqun, was already gone, and no one else could truly help Huang Huang even though they wanted to.
Shuangshuang came downstairs, wearing a white dress, with two braids hanging over her shoulders. She greeted everyone and then climbed onto her seat, looking around and only then realizing her brother wasn’t there.
"These two siblings really look alike, neither fully boyish nor fully girlish."
The elderly continued to speak joyfully, but Yin Shaohui and Zhou Mengqin were starting to find it hard to bear since Shuangshuang and Huang Huang were their most cherished grandchildren. To hear them being called neither boy nor girl by the indiscreet Mr. Zhou proved a bit too much!
