Supremely Talented Tyrant

Chapter 2206 - 2407: Foolish Woman!!!

After that, Hao Jian finally spent a few uneventful days, and this feeling made him feel somewhat flattered. Every day in class, apart from sleeping, he would banter with Fatty Hu Lai, which was quite dull but also okay. This kind of ordinary life is rare and therefore precious.

The day for the class outing was approaching. Although Zhang Danlin wanted to deliberately distance herself from Hao Jian, she was the one who had been organizing everything for this outing. If she suddenly stopped because of Hao Jian, no one else would do it. She had no choice but to continue, so sometimes she still had to come over to discuss matters with Hao Jian.

But it was limited to discussing matters, with no extra verbal exchanges.

Just like that, the days passed one by one. Suddenly, it was Thursday. Sleeping through the morning, Zhang Danlin suddenly tapped Hao Jian on the shoulder in the afternoon to stop him.

He crawled up from the desk, and then turned around to look at Zhang Danlin with a puzzled expression, not knowing what had happened. Zhang Danlin said, "Well... we need to buy some stuff for the outing, like medicines and other necessary items. You should come with me."

Hao Jian was taken aback, then nodded and said, "Alright."

Zhang Danlin said, "I've already told the class teacher and filed for leave, so let's go."

After all, Li Weiwei had asked the two of them to keep handling the class outing, so it's best for them to do everything together. Inviting others might not be feasible, as they might not be willing. Also, buying things for the whole class means an individual isn't enough. Zhang Danlin called Hao Jian out of necessity; after all, boys and girls are different, and a boy is much more capable of carrying things.

The two of them quickly left the school gate with a leave note. The gatekeeper saw it and didn't stop them, letting them go directly. They caught a cab and headed to the nearest large supermarket. Given the variety and quantity of things to buy, a larger supermarket would be more convenient.

The class outing involves so many people, unlike a small group of friends going out, where everyone's personality is different. Many unexpected situations can occur, requiring the organizers to consider every factor to ensure the event runs smoothly.

Like, if some classmates might get carsick, you need to buy motion sickness medicine. If someone is prone to allergies, you need to prepare anti-allergy medication. Therefore, before coming, Zhang Danlin gathered classmates' opinions and brought Hao Jian along to use class funds to purchase some necessary items.

At the supermarket, it was usually Zhang Danlin bustling around, while Hao Jian followed along. When Zhang Danlin needed to buy something, he would assist by picking it up and pushing the cart. If some items were placed too high, he would stand up to reach them. Although they didn't have any formal arrangement, their division of labor was clear.

Zhang Danlin seemed purposefully distanced from Hao Jian, so aside from a few necessary words, there weren't many verbal exchanges.

Quickly, they purchased a batch of items and left the supermarket, having exceeded expectations. Zhang Danlin initially thought having Hao Jian along would suffice, but it turned out one Hao Jian wasn't enough; there were just too many things. Luckily, the supermarket offered a delivery service - if you purchase enough, it would be delivered for free within two kilometers, conveniently the school wasn't far from there. After filling the address, they left hands-free.

With the supermarket items sorted, next was the pharmacy. Hao Jian checked the phone map and found a large pharmacy a few hundred meters away, ready to take Zhang Danlin there to buy potential necessary medicines.

The two of them walked out of the supermarket, following the map navigation. But as they walked, Hao Jian unexpectedly saw someone - someone he kind of knew but not really, an indescribable relationship. Hao Jian originally didn't want to see her, yet unexpectedly met her here.

"Don't run!"

Not far away, someone holding a bag rushed out of a large shopping plaza, running desperately. Behind him, He Yingzi was chasing ferociously, shouting at the thief to stop running. Both of them ran with all their might.

Hao Jian looked at her, helplessly thinking it hadn't been long since they last met, yet here they were again. Fortunately, he only saw He Yingzi; she was busy chasing the thief and didn't notice him.

He also thought she might be a bit brainless, more foolish. A thief steals something and you, a police officer, chase him, continually shouting for him to stop. The thief, seeing your police uniform, would be greatly frightened. Telling him not to run, do you think the thief is foolish enough to oblige? There's no such foolish thief.

In his opinion, the foolish one is He Yingzi, knowing shouting is useless, only driving the thief to flee faster, yet she still futilely shouts. Truly, "long hair, short insight, full chest but no brains," this saying fits He Yingzi perfectly.

They ran swiftly - one fleeing, one pursuing. Luckily, they didn't run in Hao Jian's direction; otherwise, He Yingzi might have noticed him. Yet, even if she did, what would it matter? This time, he surely wouldn't do what he did last time, where helping out got him mistaken by He Yingzi as a thief's accomplice, landing him in detention.

Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me. This time he definitely wasn't going to play the good guy.

"Do you know her?" Zhang Danlin noticed Hao Jian stared at the distant policewoman for a while, so she asked with some curiosity.

Hao Jian quickly shook his head, saying, "I don't know her, don't know her, who would know her!"

Although Hao Jian verbally denied knowing her, Zhang Danlin could hear the underlying meaning in his tone. Saying "don't know her," yet staring at her so long and speaking in that tone.

Seeing Zhang Danlin questioning, Hao Jian hurriedly followed the map navigation to hide it, and Zhang Danlin had to follow behind him. But... as they walked, Hao Jian's brows suddenly furrowed, and he turned back to glance at Zhang Danlin.

"Really foolish!" Before finishing his words, Hao Jian had already rushed out, heading towards He Yingzi.

Zhang Danlin stood frozen, surprised that Hao Jian had just left her, bewildered. Earlier, he said he didn't know her, but now he was running over for some unknown reason, leaving her standing there with a slightly unpleasant expression.

Hao Jian didn't run over without reason; he initially intended to walk away and not involve himself in this matter since He Yingzi annoyed him. Last time, she delayed him, though thankfully, Liang Xiaohan and Zhang Danlin didn't pursue it further. This time, he didn't plan to help, but before leaving, he glanced back once more, and that one look revealed a problem.

When a thief steals something and is chased by police, naturally he'll run towards crowded areas to escape and avoid capture. But this thief weirdly ran towards sparsely populated areas, eventually running into an alley.

This... no thief runs into an alley, unless it's setting oneself up for capture. It's either foolishness or conspiracy. Clearly, it's a trap - the thief using stolen goods to lure He Yingzi in. She's walking into the trap and will soon be in trouble.

Seeing this, Hao Jian's brow furrowed deeper. Wondering how this woman is such a fool yet managed to become a police officer, even seemingly held some standing among them, truly puzzled.

Thinking about it, Hao Jian had already chased after them. He didn't like seeing her in distress, and if knowing she'd face danger, it'd be wrong not to help. Ordinarily, he might ignore others, but he couldn't stand by watching a woman's beauty fade away without acting. Despite his annoyance at He Yingzi, it's true she's good-looking, so seeing her end up like that bothered him.

He had already followed along, entering the alley.

By now, He Yingzi had chased the thief into the alley. She chased, and the thief suddenly stopped running, and she realized she had cornered him into the Dead-End Alley, bringing a smile to her face.

Hands on her hips, she breathed deeply, panting heavily, and chuckled, "Run, why aren't you running, come on, keep running."

Yet, before she could finish, she noticed a smile creep onto the thief's face, causing her brows to furrow slightly, puzzled at the situation. Clueless about why he would laugh now when only he thought he could beat her?

Regarding this, she had some confidence; she was trained, capable, and most men couldn't withstand her moves.

However, as she was considering this, suddenly the thief laughed loudly again, with a crafty sneer. Then, three people emerged from behind her, one in front and three behind, making four in total.

Seeing this, her brows furrowed tightly, realizing the situation. This was clearly a trap.

Yet, now that she realized, it was too late. The opponent had surrounded her.

This was a Dead-End Alley, people in front and behind.
