Supremely Talented Tyrant
Chapter 2195 - 2396: Some People Don't Deserve Pity
Father Gu was left speechless by Hao Jian's remarks, unable to find a rebuttal. He stood there, dumbfounded, not just in expression but in his entire demeanor, completely devoid of energy and spirit.
He thought there might be a turning point, but little did he expect that Hao Jian harbored such deep-seated hatred towards him. You could sense it from Hao Jian's words. If Hao Jian never intended to spare him from the beginning, how could he rebuild his business empire?
In the face of profit, he had never cared about losing face. With a loud "boom," he suddenly walked up to Hao Jian and fell to his knees before him, kneeling down in front of Hao Jian.
Mother Gu was stunned, the principal and vice-principal were both dumbfounded, and the students watching were all equally incredulous at the scene. Only Hao Jian remained calm because he knew that people like Father Gu, who only had eyes for money, could only be subdued by money and benefits. He held Father Gu's lifeline, his future livelihood, so for money, Father Gu would do things others wouldn't dare or want to do.
Father Gu clung to his leg, pleading, "Brother Hao, please spare me. The Gu Corporation is my life's work; if you destroy it, what will I do?"
The Gu Corporation gone? Those listening were in shock. How could such a large company vanish just like that? It seemed unbelievable. And to hear Father Gu's tone, it was all due to Hao Jian's doing. Could a student have such power?
Many people began associating this with the phone call Hao Jian made. All the drastic changes happened following that call. Many speculated, though unaware of Hao Jian's exact capabilities or methods, that the downfall of the Gu Corporation was definitely linked to his call.
Many interested individuals went online to search for information about the Gu Corporation. A quick search revealed that the Gu Corporation was indeed finished. Although the company was still operating, most of its funds had been withdrawn, leaving it essentially a shell—hardly a company at all—it wouldn't last much longer.
Many students at Yawen had some clout, either excelling academically or coming from wealthy families. While not everyone was a rich kid like Gu Peng, compared to students from other schools, most had financially secure backgrounds where financial literacy was part of their upbringing.
Therefore, it was easy for them to check a company's current capital status.
Father Gu cried and pleaded, looking pitiable to those who didn't know his true nature. But those aware of his past and how he'd bullied students alongside his son couldn't feel sorry for him. Compared to what those students went through, his humiliation was nothing.
Everyone silently applauded Hao Jian, believing he did the right thing.
But Hao Jian had no intent to linger any longer. He kicked Father Gu away, saying bluntly, "I already gave you a chance. You didn't cherish it, and frankly, you're a loathsome person. Handle your problems yourself, don't block my way."
Mother Gu almost fainted hearing this from Hao Jian. Father Gu stood there dumbfounded, immediately lunging forward to grab Hao Jian's pants, but Hao Jian, prepared, kicked him, causing his nose to bleed and knocking him to the side.
"Brother Hao, have mercy. I have elders and children to support, I can't lose the company, or my family will have no means to survive." Despite the nonstop nosebleed, Father Gu cried and pleaded with tears streaming down his face.
As the saying goes, "Pitiful people are often detestable." Though he looked pitiful as if shunned by the world, this situation was of his making. Had it been anyone else but Hao Jian today, the pitiable one would have been the student instead.
Therefore, Hao Jian was unmoved in such a scene. The deserving should be treated accordingly, sparing no leniency.
However, sometimes girls think differently from boys. Girls are typically more prone to negotiation. When Li Weiwei saw the situation, especially Father Gu's continuous nosebleed as he pleaded with Hao Jian, she felt compassion stir.
Hao Jian intended to speak with the principal but was suddenly stopped by Li Weiwei, who wore an imploring expression.
"Hao Jian... maybe you should forgive him. After all, he hasn't committed unforgivable sins," Li Weiwei stammered to Hao Jian.
Hao Jian, taken aback, questioned, "Unforgivable sins? Are you sure? If I hadn't made that call today, wouldn't the humiliated one be me? He even wanted to bring my parents over to humiliate them. Can I endure that?"
Since Hao Jian had previously lied to Li Weiwei about his parents, she felt his predicament, and hearing Father Gu's words prompted her further compassion. His anger seemed justified, leaving her at a loss for words.
Initially, she wanted to persuade Hao Jian to forgive Father Gu out of pity, but after his response, she couldn't bring herself to say it.
At that moment, Hao Jian added, "Some people are forgivable, but some are not. They think their money allows them to do whatever they want. Let's see how they manage without it and taste what it's like to be bullied."
With that, Hao Jian turned away and approached the principal. Realizing further persuasion was futile, Li Weiwei also saw Father Gu as less pitiable, letting the matter rest.
Seeing Hao Jian's stance, Father Gu was utterly desperate, almost fainting on the spot.
As Hao Jian stood before the principal, all the principal's previous bravado vanished, leaving only fear. Standing several centimeters away, the principal's legs were already shaking.
Hao Jian spoke, "Having enough shares allows you to expel students and teachers at will, even the principal, right? Let's see if I'm qualified to fire you now."
Here's the situation: Gu Corporation's funds were already withdrawn by Spice Ginger on Hao Jian's behalf. However, this money was insignificant to Hao Jian, so he used it to buy Father Gu's former shares. Thus, whereas Father Gu once held significant shares in Yawen, now it was Hao Jian who held that power.
If Father Gu wanted to expel Hao Jian before, he could do so with a word. If he wanted to replace someone he disliked, he could. Now that the shares had shifted to Hao Jian, the power rested with him; he could fire whoever he wanted, even the principal.
The principal, having overheard a message from the board of directors that Hao Jian held most of the shares, realized that Hao Jian could indeed fire him at will. When Hao Jian spoke, it nearly made him faint from fear.
Little did he know a student could wield such influence; had he known, he wouldn't have crossed Hao Jian.
"Yes, yes, yes," he nodded quickly, fearing he might further anger Hao Jian.
Then Hao Jian said, "So, I can fire you anytime with just a word, right?"
As he spoke, Hao Jian patted the principal's shoulder, making him almost collapse in fear.
Too afraid to speak, he remained silent.
At this point, Hao Jian laughed heartily, "Rest assured, I won't fire you. Just do your job well and achieve great results."
With these words, Hao Jian left, quickly exiting the principal's office, leaving a bewildered crowd in his wake.
Perhaps only the principal and vice-principal understood Hao Jian's implicit message; the others were utterly confused.
They had no idea what happened or what Hao Jian meant with his parting words—telling the principal to work hard? What did that have to do with him? They were puzzled.
But Hao Jian was gone, making it impossible for them to ask for clarification.
The scene was chaotic, everyone began discussing amongst themselves. Liang Xiaohan, roughly grasping the situation, followed Hao Jian out to catch up with him.
Other students, seeing the place to be a hotspot, realized it was time to leave now that the issue was settled, lest they face punishment from the principal themselves.
Father Gu lay on the ground, still staring at the spot where Hao Jian's figure disappeared, murmuring Hao Jian's name under his breath.
