Supreme Swordsman System
Chapter 44 - The End of the Grey Clan
Chapter 44: 44 - The End of the Grey Clan
The giant thunder serpent created by Rudy was partially broken apart, but it did not stop. However, King was no longer interested in fighting and instead moved behind Rudy and pointed his sword at him.
The berserk lightning power exploded, causing the bricks, dirt, and rocks around the dungeon entrance to completely collapse. Although the gate could not be destroyed, the mountains of dirt and rocks completely blocked the way in.
More and more chunks of dirt and rock kept falling down. Some even quite large ones fell directly onto King’s head, but he did not bother to dodge or block them. That little bit of weight was not even enough to break a single strand of his hair.
The air was becoming increasingly suffocating due to the lack of light. The torches had gone out completely, making the space pitch black. If King’s aura were not shining like a high-powered light bulb, he really would not be able to see anything anymore.
Rudy stood there blankly at this moment, letting the dirt keep burying him. Death was drawing near... slowly and impossible to escape. This feeling was not pleasant at all, but there was no room for choice here.
That final attack had made Rudy age a lot. He had drained all of his mana, and even poured his life force into it. If he could not seriously injure King, there would be no other chance.
"Last words? Fuck you! You..."
Before dying, Rudy wanted to use the most vulgar words possible to curse King. Even if he could not piss King off to death, at least he had to make him feel annoyed.
"Second Divine Skill - Moon Severing Sword."
The cold white crescent-shaped sword qi slash, as cold as the night, directly crushed Rudy’s already collapsing body.
"I already said it many times... I don’t understand pig language."
Looking coldly at the spot where Rudy’s body had vanished, King continued to refuse to understand what Rudy was saying.
Giving Rudy a chance to speak just now was indeed a mistake. What good or beautiful words could a bastard possibly say? King directly considered it pig language and chose not to understand. From beginning to end, he did not understand anything... If he did not understand, naturally he would not get angry either... Probably.
"System, can I give it a one-star rating? My experience in the Arcane Dominion world just got a huge negative point."
[The system... Whether you give it a one-star rating or not, the Heavenly Dao won’t change. What happened just now was only an accident.]
No matter how extraordinary King’s identity was, hearing him ask for a one-star rating made the system very awkward. It had no authority to arrange King’s experience in this world anyway.
"Are you sure it was an accident and not the Heavenly Dao of this world trying to teach me a lesson?"
King glanced sideways at the system. The anger caused by those mages had not yet faded, and it seemed like it was about to be redirected toward another target.
[Wasn’t the original script supposed to be like this? If you weren’t so diligent and hadn’t sped things up, these people would have already been completely killed under Cerberus’s claws and flames before they even had a chance to clash with you.]
The situation was urgent, so the system immediately made up some kind of excuse. After all, it did not want its master to get angry with it over something that had nothing to do with it.
"Hmph, so you’re saying it would have been better if I didn’t exist, right? If everything happened according to the original script, then what did I come here for?"
King frowned and questioned the system. Even though he was not some incredibly intelligent person, he was not an idiot who could be easily fooled either.
[Master, I...]
The system was at a loss for what to say when suddenly the ceiling of the corridor rapidly collapsed. Dirt and rocks quickly covered everything, blocking King’s path.
"Forget it. Now that I’ve gotten rid of those pieces of trash, I shouldn’t let them bother me anymore. Let’s go find Elias. Since he’s the protagonist, he probably hasn’t been buried under the rubble, right?"
As soon as he finished speaking, King shot forward. The dirt and rocks blocking his path were nothing to his superhuman physique at this point.
[There is no problem, master. Although it will be difficult for him to wake up anytime soon, Elias hasn’t suffered any additional negative effects all this time.]
The system sounded relieved, as if it had just been pardoned when it heard King speak, so it hurriedly provided some positive news to make King feel better.
"Just as I thought."
King’s unhappy expression quickly changed. From looking rather gloomy, he now raised his chin smugly.
With his ’100% accurate’ predictions based on his experience reading novels, King felt that he was the one holding the ’future’ of this entire world. As for the times he had guessed wrong, he had already forgotten them, so they did not count.
Running toward the arena, King stopped in front of a gigantic empty space. At first, it had only been a tiny ’secret passage’, but now it had expanded until it was even bigger than some deadly sinkholes.
"Tsk, now it doesn’t even look like the Roman Colosseum anymore."
Although King was no expert in preservation, he still felt a little regretful. A magnificent and ancient arena had been completely destroyed like this and buried under dirt and rocks until it was distorted beyond recognition. It was truly such a waste.
But this dungeon was going to disappear sooner or later anyway, so whether it remained intact or was completely destroyed made no difference.
King looked around, and then his gaze stopped on an extremely huge and long stone pillar. It was lying diagonally, perfectly shielding Elias from being covered by dirt and rocks or being hit by a large boulder. This coincidence was probably even rarer than winning the lottery.
"Just as expected of the protagonist. Plot armor so thick that something this unreasonable is actually ’normal’."
The corner of King’s mouth curled up slightly, and his discomfort seemed to disappear. In its place was excitement.
The experience of a longtime reader was indeed reliable. The protagonist throughout the story could suffer serious injuries and fall unconscious many times, but he would not die...
At least in most cases, because if he really died, it would be hard to continue ’milking’ the story.
Having determined Elias’s location, King immediately jumped down from the corridor into the arena to look for the wand.
