Supreme Swordsman System
Chapter 27 - Moon Severing Sword
Chapter 27: 27 - Moon Severing Sword
Just two rank I mage brats, yet they dared to act arrogant in front of him. There was no way King would really spare Pip and Bob.
Not only were they arrogant, but these two pieces of trash even dared to insult King and had the intention of killing him. They had committed so many crimes like this. If King really let them escape, then King would not be King.
Pip and Bob were running for their lives when they suddenly slammed on the brakes, causing both of them to tumble to the ground. They did not dare stay down for too long and immediately struggled to their feet, staring at King with eyes filled with fear but no less hatred.
"You bastard! You broke your word."
With his hot temper, Bob immediately shouted. The distance was a little far, so shouting like this created a very reasonable volume for King.
"Hey, falsely accusing me deserves to have your tongue cut out, you know. But I am a noble and kind-hearted reader, so I won’t use such painful punishments. I came here as promised to give you two lowlifes a ’gift’."
King’s smile became extremely sinister. Perhaps his nature had always been unusual. He just had not had the chance to show it yet.
He lightly shook his wrist while gripping the sword hilt even tighter. The Heavenly Dao Sword trembled, causing the breathing of both Pip and Bob to become extremely heavy.
Even though King kept smiling and spoke very gently, the atmosphere was now extremely eerie. The pressure of death on their minds was greater than ever.
"What gift?"
Bob’s brain did not seem to be working very well, since he could still ask something like this in a situation like this. But this time, his stupidity successfully extended his life by... a few more seconds.
"You two lowlifes should feel proud to be the first people to ’enjoy’ my second divine skill."
King slowly walked toward the two of them. With every step he took, he transformed a little more into the Heavenly Dao Swordsman state.
He could transform in the blink of an eye, but King felt that would not be fun. So he deliberately put on this act to play with the minds of these two little villains.
Every step King took released dazzling spiritual power, as if he himself were the embodiment of the Heavenly Dao.
At this moment, he was the truth!
In the Heavenly Dao Swordsman state, King slowly pointed the tip of his sword straight toward the sky. The rusty, battered sword that Piip and Bob had looked down on earlier now seemed like a divine weapon, radiating such a noble pressure that even breathing felt extremely difficult for them.
After learning from Adrian, King’s Heavenly Dao Swordsman state was now like a nonstop aura generator.
The amount of spiritual power consumed was not too great, so it was very suitable for showing off, but doing this during difficult and prolonged battles would not work. But King also did not think there would be anyone who actually had the ability to force him to fight for that long.
"Don’t! Don’t come here!" Bob frantically clawed at the grass and dirt, sending it flying everywhere as he tried to escape.
King’s blade was now completely covered by an extremely dense stream of spiritual power. That terrifying spiritual power made Bob feel like he would be crushed into dust if he took the hit.
At this moment, Pip’s brain once again showed itself to be far superior. He observed King’s stance and concluded that this was a downward attack. It would probably have some similarities to a basic slash, so he ran in the opposite direction from Bob. Running like this would at least give him a 50% chance of survival.
This intelligence of his made King frown. The second divine skill was indeed a downward attack that released a sword qi slash straight forward.
"I didn’t expect your brain to still be working this well at a time like this, huh? But before absolute power, that little bit of intelligence of yours is meaningless."
"Second divine skill - Moon Severing Sword."
King did not change his stance and, in an extremely brief moment, unleashed the second divine skill twice, precisely targeting Pip’s and Bob’s positions.
Two enormous crescent-shaped sword qi slashes radiating dazzling light shot forward at high speed. If it were unleashed at night, perhaps its light would even overshadow the real moon.
The domineering sword qi slash was nothing like an ordinary slash, but more like a grinding machine with countless sharp blades that tore apart the bodies of both Pip and Bob.
The destruction was so perfect that what remained of them had dissolved into the air, without even a single scrap of cloth left behind.
The sword qi slash did not stop after taking down its targets but continued shooting straight forward, destroying everything in its path. Only after flying a very long distance did it finally disappear, leaving behind two perfectly straight paths leading directly to the cliff face.
"Tsk, the power isn’t bad."
Unleashing two divine skills at once made King feel a little tired, so he dispelled his transformed state.
The tiredness was only a feeling anyway, and at most he probably would have sweated out a single drop. It was not like he had suffered any serious damage.
Looking at the effect of the divine skill, King grinned from ear to ear. The two ’paths’ he had just carved through the ground were truly masterpieces of destructive power. On these two paths, not to mention trees, even stones had been ground into fine dust.
At this moment, King’s gaze turned toward the cliff. The system still had not notified him that Elias was in danger, so King really wanted to know how this protagonist had fallen off the cliff and remained completely unharmed.
"Now that I’ve dealt with those two annoying mosquitoes, I should go meet this world’s protagonist too."
King stood on the cliff and looked down, seeing nothing but rocks upon rocks. Looking even farther down, there was no trace that anyone had fallen from this height.
"Strange... Where did he go? Could he have fallen onto some giant bird and been carried away to some treasure or something?"
The more King thought about it, the more his eyelids twitched. Protagonists really did not play by the rules. No matter how ridiculous something was, protagonists could always somehow run into it.
