Chapter 1112: Rise of a New Era IV

One of the most important basic structures that had yet to be built was the settlement’s manor. It acted as the center of the government, where all authorities would meet to discuss important decisions and various other crucial topics.

The Silverfangs weren’t fans of a manor and desired to brag about a palace built for their Queen with their hands. To their misfortune, constructing a massive, majestic palace wasn’t feasible at this point. Therefore, the small and cozy manor was built within a few hours.

Most basic structures were made from stone and wooden logs. They would last decades if necessary, which wouldn’t be the case. The Silverfangs would soon expand their settlement and tear down the old manor to replace it with something much greater. The same could be said about the homes of settlers. All Silverfangs needed housing.

They had tents to sleep in for a while, which wasn’t too bad given the cozy beds and the surrounding environment’s conditions. It was summoner and fairly warm even as the suns disappeared behind the horizon. Most High Awakened weren’t sleepy even after the sun had disappeared for hours. They didn’t go to sleep right away. Instead, they used illumination stones to light the entire settlement and continued constructing wooden huts.

The smithy, which had already been built beforehand, was also put to use. Tiara and others brought some ores and ingots from the Origin Expanse to shape into nails, pikes, hinges, and so forth. A mill to process grain was also constructed, even though the Silverfangs knew it wouldn’t be used for a while. Still, they followed a rough lineout to create a fully functioning and highly efficient infrastructure right from the start.

Even if that wasn’t necessary since most buildings would be torn down in the future, everyone felt more comfortable knowing where certain buildings had to go and how much space they had to leave to avoid obstructing others with noises and the like.

Roads were also necessary, but two Silverfang Awakened with Earth-attributed Soultraits dealt with that easily. One of them could control and shape stones to a certain degree, which created a great symbiosis. One of the Silverfangs created the streets’ frames by compressing the earth where the streets were supposed to be, while the other Silverfang retrieved countless cobblestone bricks, which he shapeshifted slightly to fit perfectly into the street cove, created by compressing earth.

The streets weren’t perfect just yet, but they were quickly constructed and highly efficient. There have been no issues with the streets in Tiagro for a while now.

"Your Highness!" Legion returned from his trip to the sea and the mountain range early in the morning. He was tired and covered in crimson blood – not his – and smiled vibrantly, "I return with great news."

Tiara raised her eyebrow but gestured to him to continue.

"There seem to be Behemoth Goats or something that looks just like them in the mountain ranges. I killed two and had great difficulties carrying them until I was forced to store them in the War Rune. They’re really heavy and can probably feed everyone for a week. They’ll probably taste amazing grilled with some vegetables."

’I sure hope that’s not the only thing you have to say to me,’ Tiara’s gaze told Legion, who was still smiling.

"The sea over there is not an ocean as we’d feared. We can use it to supply everything with water in the near future. But that leads me to an interesting point," Legion grinned like a Silverfang cub, "The mountain range is much bigger than we’d anticipated, and behind it, we can find a proper ocean. Once the space in the plains and the surrounding area isn’t big enough, we can expand by traveling through the ocean. The mountain range can also deliver enough stone and hopefully some high-quality ores."

Tiara didn’t quite understand why Legion was this excited, but she nodded. It was good that the mountain range was massive and that the water vessel wasn’t seawater. That would have been a little bit more annoying to deal with. But then again, they could have created their lakes and seas with their one and only Divine Silverfang, who had a powerful Soultrait with which he could control and conjure water.

Still, the sea saved them lots of trouble.

"There you are, your highness!" Master Tigris approached Tiara with a smile. He retrieved a hardcover book and handed it to the queen, "I just recalled that we didn’t finish our talk about the Silver Constitution. We need to declare the Silver Constitution soonish to handle the settlement’s disputes, crimes, and responsibilities. I know you said there wouldn’t be any disputes and crimes in your kingdom, but…you can never be certain. There is no way to be certain about something like that."

Tiara growled inward but nodded slowly.

It was important to keep a sense of order as the population grew.

Of course, it would take a while before the population exceeded the threshold that could be controlled easily. Still, it was best to establish laws and rules early on to give everyone enough time to study them or ask questions if something was uncertain.

"Okay. Let’s talk about the Silver Constitution, then. How about we bless the manor with our first visit?" Tiara asked lightly, to which Master Tigris responded with a bright smile.

"I’d be honored!"

Master Tigris and Tiara disappeared in the manor for a few days. Countless Silverfangs visited them to inquire about their next tasks, but the odd pair didn’t leave until they finished the last edits of the Silver Constitution.

Once the odd pair left the manor to spread the word of the Silver Constitution, many things changed. The first stage of the settlement’s construction had been completed, and the others were just about to get started on the second stage.

They had already planned the future of the settlement from scratch to the modern technological era.

Everything had been planned. The only issue was whether Caesus could find and claim a suitable piece of land for the Silverfang territory.

His battle in the Origin Expanse was the biggest unknown factor in the Silverfands’ grand plan.

However, the Silverfangs were certain their King would emerge victorious.

All they had to do was wait for their King’s return.
