Chapter 2313 …Are you two… doing this?
At the far edge of Umbrasol, beyond the busier streets and the soft noise of daily life, there was a stretch of open land. It was a place people visited sometimes to walk, to sit, or simply to enjoy the quiet away from the central areas.
A low stone path curved gently through the fields, bordered by small patches of grass and young trees that had only recently taken root. A half-built structure stood near the edge of the field.
It had been under construction for days.
Or at least… it should have been.
"That's… strange."
A worker stood in front of it, scratching his head.
"What is?"
Another man beside him frowned.
"That wall. It had a crack yesterday. I saw it myself."
The first man pointed.
The second man looked at the wall.
It was… straight.
Perfectly straight.
"…Maybe you imagined it."
"I did not imagine it,"
The first man shook his head.
"It was right there—down the middle. Boss pointed it out very specifically, we were going to rebuild that section today."
The second man stepped closer, placing a hand against the stone.
It was… smooth.
It didn't feel recently repaired or patched.
"Are you… sure?"
He asked with a frown.
Usually, cracks in walls aren't a big deal, many beings were capable of filling those cracks with their abilities. There were beings in this world who could create matter out of nothing, beings who could create living golems using magic, or metal spikes that could pierce through one's organs—
Usually, cracks in walls aren't a big deal, many beings were capable of filling those cracks with their abilities. There were beings in this world who could create matter out of nothing, beings who could create living golems using magic, or metal spikes that could pierce through one's organs—
With abilities like those in existence, reforming a cracked wall shouldn't be a big deal.
Or at least, that was the common knowledge, but…
Going by that logic, construction workers shouldn't be needed, there were beings who could create any structure they wanted with just their mere imaginations almost instantly, what was the point of having workers who took days, months even, to complete their projects?
But…
In reality, there were countless reasons why these workers were needed.
Yes, a structure could be created through magic but… such structures could only be created through matter that a particular being could control or create and that matter might not be the best material for construction.
And even if, in some cases, the material matched, without proper reinforcement and processing of that material, the structure wouldn't last long. Such buildings would collapse with the slightest impact.
In a world where beings were capable of topping mountains with a simple flick, such structures wouldn't last, not one bit. Every structure needed reinforcing, reinforcing only such workers could provide.
This was also the reason why these two workers were so surprised, because if the wall was cracked, and if someone had used his 'ability' to patch that crack and even if they had the ability to control the same material the wall was made of—
Patching it without proper reinforcement, or even with proper reinforcement for that matter, doing it with such precision that the patch wasn't even visible, even to the workers who had worked with that material… it was… next to impossible.
"Yes! I am sure! Do you truly think I will be wrong abo—"
The first worker was about to answer but just then—
Tak
They heard a voice, the two turned around and their eyes fell on a wooden ladder that was now leaning against the structure and a little boy had started climbing it carefully with a piece of cloth in his hands.
"Hey,"
One of the workers called out.
"Be careful—"
And just as he did—
The boy slipped.
His foot missed the rung, his body tilted sideways—
And then…
He didn't fall.
For a brief second, his body hung there.
As if… something had corrected the mistake before it could happen.
Then, gently, his foot found the rung again.
He continued climbing.
Like nothing had happened.
The workers stared at the situation and—
"…Did you see that?"
The first one asked and the second one did not reply.
He had no idea what to say.
Not far from there, a woman stood near a water basin, filling a clay container. The water flowed steadily from a carved stone spout but the odd thing was… that the water did not spill.
Even when the container was already full.
The surface rose slightly above the edge, forming a perfect curve, holding itself together without breaking.
The woman blinked.
Then slowly tilted the container, as if trying to test it. The water moved as if it could no longer hold itself together and only then did it spill normally.
"…what happened?"
The woman muttered in confusion as she looked around, trying to find the reason behind it.
Such incidents continued to play out all over the place, incidents that made no sense, the leaves on the trees moved evenly, as if they were one, without any natural variation.
The air felt… stable. There was no sound, everything seemed… clean.
Unnaturally clean.
And as more people moved through the area, the feeling grew stronger.
Nothing broke.
Nothing slipped.
Nothing went wrong.
And somehow—
That made everything feel wrong.
As for the reason behind it all?
It was a little boy who was sitting near the center of the field, right beside a low stone formation that curved naturally into a seat, as if it had been shaped just for him.
The boy was nine, he had soft, short white hair with faint hints of pale blue and silver. His face was… beautiful, not in a striking or overwhelming way, but in a soft, quiet way that drew attention without asking for it.
His eyes were light, pale, almost translucent, holding soft shades of blue and silver. When he looked at something, it didn't feel sharp or intense.
It felt… gentle.
He wore simple, light-colored clothes—clean, soft fabric that moved easily, matching his calm presence. Nothing about him stood out loudly, yet everything about him felt… refined.
He was Aurelios Leander, son of Felberta Leander. A Primordial Eldraeth, a being of… creation itself.
But his creation wasn't like Felberta's, no, he was a level above his mother, while his mother had the ability to create any object, any matter she desired—
He…
He had the power to create… existence.
Yes, he wasn't limited to luck, he could create what should not make sense. A boy that should have fallen from the ladder but didn't, the water that should have spilled but didn't, that was Aurelios—
A being who could change… what should have happened, just with his presence alone.
A small crack formed in the stone beside him.
It appeared for less than a second—
And then it disappeared.
And no, it wasn't repaired, or patched, or fixed… it just… never existed—similar to how the crack in that wall had disappeared.
Just then—
"You are here."
Aurelios spoke with a light smile on his face, but he didn't turn around.
Behind him, footsteps approached, a girl of similar age and features walked towards him with a light smile on her face. Her steps were light, her presence, just like her brother's, felt gentle, her eyes were soft, but there was something beneath all that softness—
Something… much more mature.
She was Lysera Leander, Felberta's daughter, a Primordial Eldraeth and unlike her brother, who could create existence itself…
She was… different.
"I am."
She muttered as she sat beside her brother, then, she looked at the ground where a small patch of ordinary glass had grown, probably because of Aurelios's powers.
Lysera smiled, then she bent down, her fingers brushed lightly against the grass blades and… the grass shifted.
Its green became deeper, its blades grew longer and then—
They changed.
The edges became sharper, a small white flower sprouted beside them, then its petals changed shape, one curved inward, another extended outward, the center deepened in color, turning from pale yellow to a richer gold.
Lysera then tilted her head slightly, observing everything carefully.
A small insect crawled across the ground, it reached the edge of the altered grass, it paused, then it continued forward and as it did—
Its legs adjusted.
It was subtle, something most people wouldn't notice, but Lysera did, she noticed how the little thing adapted to the new surface beneath it and that made her smile.
"…better."
She nodded to herself. Aurelios glanced at her and—
"You changed it again."
He muttered, Lysera looked back at him and replied with the same smile.
"It needed to grow."
"It was fine."
"It was incomplete."
In the end, Aurelios just gave up.
That was his sister.
A being with power over… evolution.
Yes, while their mother had the power to create matter, he had the power to create existence, his sister had the power over… evolution.
Whatever it was—
Be it living or non-living—
Lysera could evolve it and she did it very excitedly because she liked seeing things grow.
While the two siblings were talking with each other, a man approached slowly from a distance, he had come to check the structure nearby, but he stopped the moment he noticed them.
Because they looked…
Wrong.
Not in terms of appearance, of course, the two children were beautiful, perfect, even.
"…Are you two… doing this?"
He asked.
