Chapter 1962 - 1962: You will never be able to stop me.
[Don’t play games with me, boy.]
“The game already started the moment you targeted my wives, Zylarith Chaosveil.
There is no going back now.”
Nux answered in a cold tone as he appeared in front of the second Sovereign.
[Do not force me to do things I would rather not. I have been holding back all this while because I want you by my side, to fight together with me, but if you insist on opposing me,
I will have no choice but to discard you, even if you are my Soul Son.]
Zylarith threatened, and at his words, Nux just laughed.
“Oh no, I am so scared. My father, who cannot even find me, is threatening me.”
[So this is why you were so confident, huh?]
Suddenly, Zylarith realized something.
[You have an artifact that allows you to hide your existence, huh? I will admit, that is indeed quite useful. The fact that you were able to get your hands on it is quite impressive.]
The Progenitor of the Supreme World of Chaos praised. Soon, however, his tone changed.
[This is the reason I say you are naïve, child.
You think everyone in this Universe plays fair. You think that just because you have the ability to hide yourself, the enemy will be helpless.
But this is where you are wrong.
Who do you think I will target if I cannot find you?]
Zylarith questioned.
And before Nux could reply,
[It will be your wives.]
Zylarith answered his own question.
“Even if you somehow hide your wives, I will target Yrniel. I will slaughter every single being in that world, one by one, and I will make their deaths as slow as possible.
I will make them pay for your actions.
Because of your actions, the people you grew up with will suffer. The families of your wives, the people you are close with, the people you once called allies,
I will crush each and every single one of them until you or your wives cannot take it anymore and decide to appear in front of me of your own accord.”
Zylarith explained, gloating at the extent of cruelty he was prepared to show.
But Nux…
“So you are that clueless, huh?”
He laughed.
Then, as if he realized something, he commented.
“You must have stopped bothering to keep an eye on Yrniel after Lord Azriel went to sleep.”
Zylarith paused at those words, unable to understand what Nux was talking about. However, not wanting to appear weak, he continued with his threat.
“Don’t think that Vampire will be able to save Yrniel either. The Supreme Worlds may be my enemies, but that doesn’t mean I do not have a way to inform them about that Vampire’s existence without revealing my own.
How do you think those bastards would react to the news of there being another Infinity who is stronger than them?
Both Yrniel and Azriel will be—”
“Haaahh…”
In the end, Nux just sighed, shaking his head in disappointment.
“I was expecting more, Father.
This isn’t even a challenge.”
Nux muttered as he threw away the body of a Primordial he had just devoured using the devouring mist after reading his memories.
Suddenly, as if thinking of something, he called out,
“Father, I am in Yrniel. Come find me.
If you do, we will negotiate some terms.”
[…What terms?]
“Why don’t you come here first? You aren’t scared, are you?”
Nux smiled. Zylarith, however, remained silent, something that made Nux smile even more.
He waited for a few more seconds, and seeing that Zylarith still hadn’t spoken, he continued.
“What happened? Why are you not here yet? Can’t find Yrniel? Almost looks like it disappeared from the Universe, doesn’t it?”
[…]
Zylarith remained silent.
What could he even say?
Only now did he realize the problem.
Yrniel…
It didn’t exist anymore.
And if Nux had found a way to hide himself and his wives, which he seemed to have, considering Zylarith couldn’t even locate the mercenaries he had hired, then this would mean…
Nux no longer had any weaknesses.
And that wasn’t all.
“You should be very careful about who you threaten and how you do it, Father.”
Nux started.
“You didn’t think Lord Azriel would be the only one the Supreme Worlds would be delighted to know about, did you?
After all, you will be quite the target too.
How do you think those old bastards would react when they find out that their old friend is currently sticking with the Leader of a High-Level World, helping her fight a war against another High-Level World, spreading Chaos all over the Universe?
What do you think they will do when they find out about your existence?”
[…]
Zylarith didn’t say anything.
Nux, however, could already assume the expression on his face.
He, however, had only just started.
“They will destroy the world and the army you helped that woman build. They will capture that woman and try to find out everything they can about you. With their means, it shouldn’t take them a long time to find and get rid of you.”
[…]
“Of course, I am not going to do that.”
Nux quickly shook his head.
“After all, where’s the fun when I don’t even get to see you despair as you die?
It is indeed as you say, Father. I am quite naïve.
I want to put you to your death myself. I have learned quite a few ways to make death more… exciting.
Ways you might be familiar with.”
Nux smiled lightly.
“Not to mention I really admire that story.
To pick up an enslaved princess, help her escape, grow stronger, and reach a point where she could stand against a High-Level World and avenge her family.
How very heroic~
I wonder what relationship you have with this one.
Well, I guess I will find out soon enough when I come for you.”
Nux shrugged, and then suddenly, his playful persona disappeared as his golden eyes shone with absolute coldness.
“Yes, Zylarith Chaosveil, this is an open declaration.
I am coming for you and whatever you have built.
I will destroy it with my own hands, and no matter how desperately you try,
You will never be able to stop me.”
