Nux, who entered Reaper’s Veil together with Felberta and Amaya, questioned as he glanced at the sight in front of him.
Eleven ‘targets’ they had captured, all with their limbs severed, unconscious and surrounded by Devouring Mist that protected them from this environment.
“Yes”
Amaya and Felberta nodded.
Evane was still with Vyriana in case she needed something, Shadow was inside his Universe, and Riona stayed behind in case they needed something.
The rest of the women couldn’t move since they could be detected by the Universe. Right now, these women were looking into Missions provided to Elite Mercenaries and were planning to join the War.
Yes, everyone was busy. Even Nux had to return to Aeliana to continue their training, so Amaya didn’t waste time either.
She manipulated the Devouring Mist, uncovering the first ‘victim’ and revealing a humanoid entity with translucent skin showing faint ‘veins’ of different colors all over its body.
Amaya started explaining,
“That’s the first one.
A Chronovian.
This one’s Law is too weak to mention. It is just something that strengthens his defense to some extent, but since you have Mother’s Law, it won’t matter. However, his bloodline is quite special.
They can manifest ‘echoes’ of themselves from alternate timelines, and each echo can act independently for a limited time. Essentially, it’s a cloning ability, but unlike your clones that can only copy your abilities, with this ability, it might be possible to copy your physical power as well.”
Nux widened his eyes in surprise. However, before he could get his hopes up, Amaya
burst his bubble.
“Don’t get too excited. I am not sure if this ability is that strong. The concept of different timelines is quite complicated. Not to mention the energy it requires to keep those clones is massive, and in your case…
Where you will pretty much be summoning an entirely different Universe from a different timeline, it is very likely that this will be out of this ability’s scope.”
Nux understood that.
After all, this ability was not an Absolute; it could fail. Not that it mattered. Even if it did fail, Nux believed that he would get something out of this.
He stepped forward and placed his hands on the man’s head. The next instant, he let his Black Hole take over, and the Chronovian was surrounded with Black Mist.
The man’s connection with the main Universe was severed. The Black Hole instantly devoured his Bloodline.
He was a Sovereign Level entity that came from a Low-Level World. In his World, he was one of the powerhouses, and his Bloodline was pure. Nux could see it was on the same level as a Primordial Level Bloodline.
As for it being from a Low-Level World, that didn’t matter since its connection to its world was severed.
Yes, Nux had now assimilated another Primordial Level Bloodline from a High-Level World into his Bloodline.
The next moment, a new influx of knowledge poured into Nux’s mind, telling him everything he needed to know about the man’s Law (which Nux completely disregarded) and his Bloodline.

Felberta questioned.
Nux glanced at her and shook his head,
“Amaya was right, I cannot summon my Clones.”
Felberta and Amaya sighed. To not disappoint them, Nux smiled and said,
“But this Bloodline has a weak connection to a Law related to Time, which should be one of the Primordial Laws as well.
It is something that will be helpful in the future, so he was not entirely useless.”
“We understand.”
Amaya nodded as she waved her hand again, revealing the second victim. A being with a colorful body that seemed to refract light.
“A Luminis.
His ability isn’t very special. One allows him to create somewhat durable objects, while the other allows him to bend light around him and become invisible.
His Law, however, is related to Light.
The Law of Illumination.”
Amaya spoke, and Nux’s eyes shined as he glanced at the being in front of him. Soon, however, he shook his head.
“The Black Hole isn’t reacting on its own.
His Law is too weak to be considered a Law related to a Primordial Energy. It is similar
to how Thyra’s Law couldn’t be devoured because the aspect of ‘Death’ was too weak.”
“So he’s useless, huh…”
Felberta nodded, wanting to move on.
Nux, however, just shrugged,
“All of you have put in a lot of effort in finding these people after so many restrictions.
It doesn’t matter even if they are useless. This is the best option we would find in Low-Level Worlds anyway.”
Nux nodded as suddenly, black mist surrounded the being in front of him, and he was devoured.
Once again, Nux received the information related to his Law but didn’t think about it too much. It was too weak for him to take notice.
The only thing he could do was strengthen it on his own later, but that would take time. For now, Nux decided to ignore it and moved forward.
“An Echoid.
This one would be a bit more useful.
Their blood allows them to capture, amplify, or weaponize sound waves, creating sonic barriers or destructive pulses. The more energy you put in, the stronger the
effect.”
Nux raised his eyebrows in surprise,
“How did these people survive? Some High-Level World should have taken interest in
their blood.”
“This one comes from a Middle-Level World.”
Felberta chuckled.
“Huh?”
Nux was taken aback.
“A Mercenary?”
He guessed.
“Yeah, we got a bit lucky with this one.”
Felberta answered.
Nux’s smile widened as he then stepped forward and devoured this one as well.
“Actually, the next one: one of the better ones as well. Another mercenary.”
“The mercenaries are everywhere, huh?” Nux muttered.
“Well, it’s easy to know about more mercenaries when you are one as well,”
Felberta shrugged.
Amaya, on the other hand, continued as she revealed another creature,
“They are called Skyrends.
They can control the gravitational pull on themselves or objects, allowing them to walk on walls, hurl heavy objects as if weightless, or pin enemies to the ground.
They can even create something called Anti-Force Fields, a Zone of altered gravity to deflect projectiles or hinder movement.
Well, with their limited energy, that is the most they can do. But it’s gravity. Combine
that with your endless reserve of energy,
I am sure something good will come out of it.”
