Chapter 1786 Why did you do it?
Chapter 1786 Why did you do it?
Amaya materialized inside Nux’s universe as shadow pulled her in.
“I didn’t think you would do that.
The first wife walked towards her and spoke in a surprised tone.
“It worked because it was me.”
Amaya answered with a shrug.
“I get that…”
Felberta nodded.
Everyone knew what sort of woman Amaya was. Her helping another woman get close to Nux? None of these women, who had stayed and known Amaya for thousands of years, could imagine something like that.
This was also the reason why her words were so effective. After all, not even in her wildest dreams would Aeliana guess that Amaya, of all people, would try and give her the last push she needed.
She was completely caught off guard, and the same was true for Felberta.
“I just do not understand why you would do something like that…”
Felberta commented with a frown.
Lane and Shadow Lane, the only women left inside Nux’s Universe together with Amaya and Felberta, were confused as well.
Amaya ignored the three women staring at her and glanced at the ‘screen’ in front of her, the screen that showed Nux’s vision.
“It was getting frustrating.”
After a while, Amaya answered.
“What do you mean?” Felberta tilted her head in confusion.
“Watching that woman blush was annoying”
“You did this just because you were getting annoyed…?”
Felberta frowned.
This was completely out of character for Amaya.
What in the hell is she thinking?
She wondered.
Seeing her reaction, Amaya shook her head,
“You do not get it.”
“Get what?”
Amaya then pointed at Aeliana, who was on the screen, and,
“That one is an old woman, an old Vampire who doesn’t completely understand the emotions she is feeling.
It wouldn’t be a problem if she was just some other woman. The problem is, she was born with a good head. She is someone who never had trouble understanding people. She is the leader of the strongest force here, after all.
The fact that she, someone who prided herself on being able to handle most matters, is unable to understand her own thoughts would constantly trouble her.
So she would look more into it. She would try to understand what she does not. understand by trying to experience it more.
The signs were shown before.
She started with keeping a constant eye on Nux. However, there was only so much she could understand when she is so far away from him.
In the end, she would get frustrated, and once that happened…”
Amaya then turned towards Felberta and,
“What do you think she would do?”
“What?”
“She would try to keep him next to her.”
Felberta’s expression changed when she heard those words.
However, Amaya wasn’t done yet.
“But Nux likes to be unrestricted, and she knows it.
In the end, that woman would never do something that would upset Nux, so she had to keep her desires in,”
“Until Nux gave her a perfect reason…”
Felberta muttered, her eyes shining with enlightenment.
“Indeed.”
Amaya nodded.
“That bitch is Vyriana’s closest friend. She should know how much Nux desired to get stronger and could do anything for it, and in a state where his body was out of sync and he needed someone’s help to regain his control,
It was a perfect opportunity.”
“She decided to train Nux so that she could stay with him.” Lane muttered.
“Yes,”
Amaya nodded.
“It wouldn’t have been a problem if her goal was just to train him. That would actually be
a good thing. After all, when all is said and done, she is an exceptional cultivator. But the problem is that her goal was never to train Nux”
“It was to stay with him for as long as she could, until she understood her feelings and conquered them.”
Felberta spoke, and once again, Amaya nodded.
“This is why she came up with that absurd condition of Nux defeating her before he is
allowed to leave again.
Again, if it was any other Primordial Level Being, it wouldn’t have been a problem.
But that woman is absurdly strong.”
Amaya spoke with a frown on her face. She didn’t like praising that crazy vampire, but
she had to admit the truth.
“From the very beginning, she knew Nux would never be able to defeat her, at least not anytime soon.”
Amaya spoke, but Felberta frowned.
“But she didn’t know how strong Nux had actually become when he first came here, and
he did defeat five strong Primordials on his own…
How was she so sure this would work out?”
“Confidence.”
Amaya shrugged, turning back towards the screen.
“This woman is said to be strong enough to take on the entire Ancestral Order on her
own. She didn’t know how strong Nux was at the start,
But she was absolutely confident that she wouldn’t lose.”
“To have that sort of confidence…”
“What can you do?
She is just that strong”
Amaya answered.
Felberta stared at the devourer. She wanted to say something, but she knew Amaya
wouldn’t like it, so she kept silent.
Shadow, however, didn’t have that filter.
“You sound like her fan.
Are you thinking of making her your role model or something? Or are you going to be
her new disciple?
That would be exciting to see.”
Shadow laughed.
“…”
Amaya’s mouth twitched when she heard those words, but before she could say
anything, Shadow continued,
“But I must say, you cannot help but be influenced by this woman.
I think that is the most helpless I have ever seen Nux be,”
The Shadow turned towards Lane and tilted her head,
“No?”
After all, the two of them had stayed next to Nux almost the entire time. Every time he
trained with Astaria, Thyra, Rune, or even Vyriana, Lane and her Shadow were there
most of the time.
At her words, Lane nodded.
She had never seen Nux cry hopelessly. She never expected to hear words like, ‘I am
never going to succeed, come out of Nux’s mouth.
But…
“The rate at which he improved has never been faster.
Lane replied, staring at the screen.
After all, right now, Nux wasn’t hesitating and was holding Aeliana with all his strength,
but despite that, his touch was extremely gentle.
It was as if… he had perfect control over his body.
