SUPREME ARCH-MAGUS

Chapter 778 - 778: Problems with Kaban King!

A surge of overwhelming energy washed over Kent and his companions as they emerged from the space portal. For a moment, everything was blinding light and pure, raw mana swirling around them like an ocean of energy. Then, they landed softly on a patch of lush green land.

Kent took a deep breath. “This… this is the Immortal World.”

The moment those words left his lips, the group collectively exhaled, their eyes wide as they took in the scene before them.

The sky was unlike anything in the Nine Realms—vast, endless, glowing softly with hues of violet and gold. The air was thick with superior mana, so dense that every breath filled their bodies with pure energy.

A shimmering lake stretched out before them, its waters glowing with an ethereal blue, reflecting the mountains floating in the sky like divine islands. Strange, mystical plants emitted soft glows, their scents intoxicating and serene.

Amelia gasped, pressing her hand to her chest. “I can feel it! My cultivation is advancing!” Her body glowed momentarily, her aura stabilizing at a higher realm.

Maya, the Poison Sect lady, closed her eyes and took a deep breath. “This mana… it’s purer than anything I’ve ever felt. Even the most sacred lands of the Spirit Realm can’t compare!”

Sophia, from the Chen Family, stretched out her hands and marveled as a faint golden mist swirled around her fingers. “Even my spiritual energy is transforming… it’s as if the very air is nourishing my cultivation.”

Lana, the Moonbrook lady, turned in circles, staring at the floating islands above. “Is this heaven itself? How can a world like this even exist?”

Fatty Ben, however, let out a dramatic sigh, patting his belly. “The mana is rich, the air is divine… but tell me, where’s the people? If the heavens have delicacies beyond imagination, then I’ll truly believe we’ve made it!”

Kent let out a chuckle but suddenly froze. A sharp pain shot through his mind. A flood of unfamiliar memories surged through him.

His eyes widened in horror.

No.

Kaban’s memories stirred inside Kent’s brain.

They came rushing forward like an unstoppable tide, and as Kent looked around, he recognized the shimmering blue lake. This wasn’t just any part of the Immortal World. This lake belonged to a powerful family.

And in those memories—Kaban had done something unforgivable here.

His heart pounded. He had to get everyone away.

“We need to leave. Now,” Kent said, his voice urgent.

Jia Ron frowned. “Why? What’s wrong? This place is perfect.”

“There’s no time! Just trust me!” Kent snapped.

But before they could move, the air trembled. A gust of wind swirled around them as a massive, rainbow-colored parrot descended from the sky, its magnificent feathers shining like crystals. Riding on its back was a young woman dressed in flowing white robes embroidered with sapphire lotuses. Her beauty was otherworldly, her presence commanding.

She landed gracefully, her sharp eyes scanning the group. “You there,” she said, her voice carrying authority. “Where did you come from? This land belongs to the Azure Lake Clan. Trespassing here without permission is a crime.”

Kent’s mind raced. If she found out who he was—or rather, who she thought he was—things would escalate instantly.

Lily quickly stepped forward, bowing politely. “Apologies, Fairy Lady. We arrived here by mistake. We got lost in our way. We meant no harm.”

Lanxia, daughter of the Lake Master, raised an eyebrow. “Lost your way? Are you joking” She scrutinized them before nodding slightly. “Maybe… I suppose that is possible. However, you should leave immediately. My name is Lanxia and my father is the owner of this lake. My father does not take kindly to uninvited guests.”

Kent let out a relieved breath. Maybe they could escape without any drama—

Lanxia’s gaze shifted to him.

Her expression changed instantly.

Her eyes widened, and her body trembled with rage. “You… YOU!” She pointed a shaking finger at Kent. “Kaban King!”

The air grew heavy as her spiritual pressure surged.

Kent’s heart sank. “Wait, you’re mistaken—”

“MISTAKEN?!” she roared. “You dare show your face here after what you did to me?!” Her eyes burned with fury, her grip tightening around a jade slip.

Before Kent could stop her, she crushed the jade slip between her fingers, sending out a powerful signal.

“I’ve informed my father. You won’t escape this time!”

Kent cursed. “Damn it!” He turned to his group. “We have to go, NOW!”

Everyone was staring at the ongoing drama with confused stares. They did not understand what’s happening.

But before they could move, Lanxia raised her hand. A surge of water energy erupted from her body, forming an enormous glowing lotus above her head. “I WON’T LET YOU RUN!”

Just then, a mighty roar echoed from Kent’s special storage ring made by Elder Mahavir himself as a parting gift.

A blur of gold and red burst forth as Sparky, Kent’s dragon companion, shot into the sky. His massive form coiled, his golden scales reflecting the sunlight as he bared his fangs.

“HOLD ON!” Kent shouted, leaping onto Sparky’s back.

One by one, his companions jumped on as the dragon soared into the sky, breaking through the water barriers Lanxia had formed.

Lanxia gritted her teeth. “You won’t escape that easily!” She pointed her fingers forward, and her parrot let out a high-pitched cry before giving chase.

But the parrot was built for beauty, not speed.

Sparky outpaced it easily, climbing higher into the sky.

Furious, Lanxia gathered her spiritual energy, forming a massive water lotus filled with deadly force. “I WON’T LET YOU GO SO EASILY!” She hurled it forward.

BOOM!

The lotus exploded against Sparky’s side, sending waves of pain through the dragon’s body. A deep, jagged wound appeared on his shoulder, dark blood spilling into the sky.

Kent’s eyes burned with rage. He turned, glaring at Lanxia, his expression dark and terrifying.

“You’ll regret that,” he growled. “I’ll come back for you.”

Lanxia, still standing on her parrot, narrowed her eyes. “I’ll be waiting. And next time, Kaban King… I won’t miss. You must pay for what you did to me!”

Kent clenched his fists, forcing himself to calm down. They had escaped for now, but this was only the beginning.

He wasn’t just Kent Clark anymore.

To the Immortal World, he was Kaban King.

And that… was a problem.

Tq all 😉
