Chapter 2312 - 2271: Xia Sanwa's Innovation

"That's right. Now I've ascended to the pinnacle of the Ancient Era's power, becoming the strongest in that continent," Wang Xiaoqiang replied with a smile, without a trace of arrogance or seriousness, as if he were talking about an ordinary matter at home.

Although Wang Xiaoqiang acted indifferent and calm, the Wang Clan was far from it. The strongest of the Ancient Era, what an existence! This meant that the Ancient Continent would soon become the territory of the Wang Clan. Hearing this, pride welled up in their hearts, and Wang Xiaoqiang's descendants once again praised this elder.

At this moment, an incongruous voice arose, "Father, since you have become the strongest in the Ancient Era, why didn't you stay and reign there, but instead returned to the Ancient Continent...?"

Everyone was taken aback by this question, and Wang Xiaoqiang felt somewhat embarrassed as well. However, he didn't plan to hide this from his family and took the opportunity to explain how he provoked the Primordial Heaven-Stepping Realm experts after killing the Ancient Divine Emperor, recounting the entire story.

After finishing, he solemnly declared, "Once that Jade Yumo crosses over to the Ancient Times, it will be a catastrophic disaster. The era would plunge into an irreparable calamity. By then, for the sake of our family's grand plan, I will place all of you into the Storage Ring. Be mentally prepared."

Upon hearing this, everyone realized the gravity of the situation and nodded silently in acceptance, without a word of dissent.

However, since that Jade Yumo wouldn't arrive anytime soon, the crisis seemed distant, and there was no need to live in constant fear because of it. The joy and happiness of the present should not be missed.

Immediately, a grand feast was held at the Divine King's Manor with everyone from the Wang Clan to welcome and celebrate Wang Xiaoqiang.

At the banquet, Xia Sanwa, after a few more cups of wine, thumped his chest and said to Wang Xiaoqiang, "Little Qiang, don't be afraid. With me here, no Primordial Heaven-Stepping Realm expert would dare come!"

Wang Xiaoqiang knew Xia Sanwa was a bit drunk and said, "Dad, you're drunk, maybe you should rest a bit."

Xia Sanwa retorted, "Tch, I'm not drunk. Little Qiang, tell me, just how formidable is that Heavenly Boundary expert from the Primordial Era?"

Wang Xiaoqiang chuckled wryly, "Even I couldn't beat them. How strong do you think they are?"

Xia Sanwa shrugged it off and said confidently, "Little Qiang, I'm not boasting, but that Heaven-Stepping expert may not be able to handle my hybrid beast troop."

Wang Xiaoqiang's expression turned peculiar upon hearing this, and he asked, "Hybrid beasts? What's that?"

Seeing that Wang Xiaoqiang was unfamiliar with hybrid beasts, Xia Sanwa became even more proud and explained, "It's my own research, putting different types of beasts together for crossbreeding. The offspring are what I call hybrid beasts."

Back in our hometown on Earth, there was a bachelor, Old Shepherd in Sanmiao Village, who, due to physiological needs, forcibly bred a ewe, resulting in the ewe giving birth to a non-human, non-sheep monster a few months later. Humans are animals, sheep are animals, all animals in the end are beasts.

So that creature birthed by the Old Shepherd and the ewe, a non-human, non-sheep monster, would be a hybrid beast.

Wang Xiaoqiang wasn't unfamiliar with this. However, that's a crossbreed between a human and a sheep. On the Ancient Continent, there are all powerful beasts, which would kill humans or flaunt power on a whim. Their wild nature is ferocious; you either kill them or tame them. Making them do what they don't want isn't easy.

For example, a ram might get aroused upon seeing a ewe. But a dog might not get excited seeing a ewe. Thus, putting two different beasts together, even if male and female, might not result in mating.

Therefore, the notion of hybrid beasts doesn't hold water, and Wang Xiaoqiang didn't quite believe it. Curious, he asked, "Dad, how did you accomplish this? This can't be serious."

Hearing this, Xia Sanwa scoffed, "I knew you wouldn't believe in my ability. Fine, let me show you the real deal, so you would believe."

Saying this, he released his ride—a hybrid beast that was neither donkey, horse, dragon, snake, tiger, nor leopard. Its appearance was bizarre—a horse's head, donkey's horns, dragon's body, tiger's legs, and leopard's tail...

Bizarre couldn't describe it better.

Wang Xiaoqiang had traveled across several planes and eras and seen hundreds or even thousands of beasts but never such a creature. Its physical traits seemed forcibly pieced together, very eerie indeed.

"Is this the hybrid beast you speak of?" Wang Xiaoqiang scrutinized the creature, estimating its strength. He doubted it stood out, even in the Ancient Times, and couldn't dominate the beast realm.

"Yes, this is a hybrid beast, bred from four types of beasts..."

Before Xia Sanwa could finish, Wang Xiaoqiang interrupted with a peculiar expression, "What? Four types of beasts crossbred? How is that possible? Are you saying these beasts mated on their own?"

Xia Sanwa replied, "Of course not. It was under the influence of an aphrodisiac pill."

"Aphrodisiac pill? Isn't that a bedroom secret treasure?" Wang Xiaoqiang, robust and full of energy, never needed such supplements, but he knew of the aphrodisiac pill.

The aphrodisiac pill was even more potent than Viagra, though its effects were much weaker on beasts. On the Ancient Continent, beasts are gigantic, incomparable to humans or usual fierce animals on Earth. The pill had little effect on them.

"That's right," Xia Sanwa proudly nodded, lowering his voice a bit, more engaged than embarrassed, "without feeding them that, they wouldn't mate randomly."

Realizing this, Wang Xiaoqiang understood Xia Sanwa had indeed gone to great lengths to create hybrid beasts. The notion of using aphrodisiac pills like a bedroom treasure was ingenious. Under its influence, not merely different species, but even cross-species could mate, as proven by the Old Shepherd and his ewe.

And the shepherd hadn't even used the aphrodisiac pill. Lacking a normal married life for long could drive anyone to act on impulse. Thinking of this, Wang Xiaoqiang chuckled and asked another question, "Dad, how much did you use?"

"Basically, every beast needed a big bowl of the aphrodisiac pill; any less wouldn't work." Xia Sanwa answered.

Hearing this, Wang Xiaoqiang fully understood, acknowledging to himself that his father-in-law truly was brilliant. Nonetheless, the hybrid beasts didn't seem very powerful. While considering this, he asked, "Dad, can your hybrid beasts hold their own against a Primordial Era Heaven-Stepping Realm expert?"

Xia Sanwa scratched his head and said, "This hybrid beast can't, it's just my ride. But I have twelve trump cards—twelve hybrid beasts, each very strong. Oh, they're in the Beast Garden. After dinner, I'll take you to see them."

"Alright!" Though Wang Xiaoqiang wasn't optimistic about Xia Sanwa's hybrid beasts, he still wanted to see them because hybrid beasts were a major innovation. If they proved more formidable than their original counterparts, then hybrid beasts would become a viable strategic development target, potentially forming a powerful hybrid beast troop.
