Super Tycoon: I Beg You, Stop Pulling Stunts
Chapter 577 - 337: I’ll Have You All Get to Know Me
The entire field was radiating raw, masculine energy.
At the very front of the crowd stood three mountains of gold, built from stacked bars. The blazing midday sun shone down on them, making them gleam brilliantly.
The golden luster was both captivating and tantalizing.
"Brothers, I'm Lin Chu. Just yesterday, I escaped a conspiracy. To put it bluntly, I was running scared like a stray dog. It was a pathetic sight. I've also been dragged through the mud online, so my reputation around the world is pretty shot right now. People think I'm a murderer."
"But honestly, I don't really give a damn. Someone tried to take me out, and they failed. Now that I've caught my breath, you can bet I'm going to hit them back."
"You're all employees of this company. You've worked in Europe, Africa, the Middle East... all over the world, living on the edge and risking your lives for a paycheck."
"Today, I'm here to do one thing first: hand out money! Since this is our first meeting, I want you all to get to know me. Every man gets a one-kilogram gold bar! Now, line up and claim it!"
"I might not have any other talents, but I've got a ton of money, and I'm not afraid to spend it on my brothers!"
When it came to building prestige, things had changed. Back when the company was doing legitimate business in the country, he had no need to show his face; commanding remotely was perfectly fine. But now, the situation was different, and Lin Chu had to adjust his methods accordingly.
The men before him weren't white-collar workers sitting in an air-conditioned office, tapping away at a keyboard.
Besides, the new recruits had all been offered a 500,000 settling-in fee. With terms like that already on the table, he couldn't afford to disappoint the veteran employees.
He had to treat everyone equally and make sure all got their fair share.
Plus, an act like this would naturally yield a return.
At Lin Chu's words, the entire base erupted in thunderous applause, and the air filled with an electric sense of joy.
'Damn... this is just too good.'
A one-kilogram gold bar, at today's Gold prices, meant several hundred thousand instantly in their pockets.
'The boss is incredible!'
Starting with the first contingent in the front row, the men began to line up. Each man received one bar, and Lin Chu tirelessly handed it to every single person himself, shaking their hand and offering a greeting.
Nearby.
Standing behind Lin Chu and to his left, Rashid watched the entire scene unfold, feeling an indescribable shock. The Gold had been purchased that morning, nearly cleaning out the reserves of several major dealers in Dubai and costing over a billion in total.
He had assumed Lin Chu had some other use for it.
He never imagined it was all going to be handed out to his subordinates.
'That was over a billion!'
None of his own brothers—forget his brothers, even his uncles—possessed such generosity and grandeur.
It wasn't that they couldn't afford it; they simply would never have conceived of doing such a thing.
Standing beside Rashid, Lu Ming watched the Prince's expression shift from surprise to shock, and finally to dumbfounded disbelief. He was clearly floored, which gave Lu Ming an indescribable sense of satisfaction.
'Let the young Little Prince experience the shock and awe of a true magnate!'
'Thinking too small, aren't you?'
'Never seen someone hand out cash like this, have you?'
For Lin Chu, however, this was all just standard procedure.
From a lounge inside the building, An Yunzhi watched the proceedings, her mind racing with a thousand different thoughts.
1.6 billion.
In reality, while it was a security company in name, these bodyguards could be seen as Lin Chu's private armed force.
And with his actions today, he had clearly established an initial sense of solidarity.
'Although buying loyalty with money is a rather crude, old-fashioned method, one without any "soul," it's undeniably effective in the short term.'
'I can't even imagine what he's ultimately planning to do.'
'But I can't deny the genuine thrill I feel watching this.'
After a full three hours of this, Lin Chu's hands were sore and his voice was hoarse, but the task was finally complete.
But looking at the results, the effect was absolutely explosive.
Now, the entire force had the air of an elite, ferocious army, their morale soaring.
'This is exactly the spirit I was aiming for!'
Picking up the microphone, Lin Chu continued, "Alright, that's it for the handouts. It wasn't much, just 1.6 billion in total. Hold on to it, and get ready to dismiss."
"All branch managers, come over for a meeting in a moment. I have something to discuss."
"Oh, right. One more thing I want to make crystal clear. The company doesn't have many rules, but this one is absolute: no gambling! Dismissed!"
There was no extra talk. Once the business was done, Lin Chu was direct and to the point.
The entire training ground erupted in cheers once again as the crowd dispersed in an orderly fashion.
「A dozen minutes later.」
「In the conference room.」
Thirty-some branch managers, all smiles, took their seats and began whispering amongst themselves.
They had been transferred here from posts around the globe, as well as from back home, following previous company orders.
They'd been pulled from their comfort zones and gathered here, which was a bit confusing at first, but now, with money in hand, their minds were completely at ease.
'This is an opportunity!'
'A once-in-a-lifetime opportunity!'
'Why are we in this line of work?'
'To make money, of course!'
Money talks.
Now, everyone truly understood: this young boss was definitely a force to be reckoned with.
They had all privately discussed what had happened with the Paris branch—the boss had bought a house for every single employee there!
They were so full of envy and jealousy they could have ground their molars to dust!
'When would a fortune that immense ever fall into their laps?'
And now, it had!
The moment Lin Chu walked into the conference room, everyone rose to their feet in unison.
"Sit."
Lin Chu waved his hand and took the seat at the head of the table, his eyes sweeping across the room.
The managers in attendance all looked mature, at least in their thirties. While their physical fitness might not match the younger men, they made up for it with a wealth of experience.
Of course, their physical condition was nothing to scoff at either. At a glance, they looked like a group of fitness instructors; there wasn't a flabby one among them.
"Aside from a few of you, I don't know most of the people here. But moving forward, the security-related tasks are likely to be quite heavy."
"Let's have everyone introduce themselves so we can all get acquainted."
Lin Chu said with a smile and a wave of his hand.
As soon as he finished speaking, the man on his far left, Ma Teng of the Dubai branch, was the first to rise. "Brother Chu, my name is Ma Teng. I'm thirty-two, and I'm the general manager of the Dubai branch. I currently have 94 employees, all of whom are on duty."
With him setting the example, the others began to introduce themselves in turn.
"My name is Xiang Yang. I'm thirty-five, from South Africa. I brought forty-five of my men with me. Three more have yet to report; they'll finish their current mission and rejoin the team within seven days. President Lin, I was wondering, will they also receive this bonus?"
Lin Chu nodded at him. "They will. Just get me a count after they've returned to the team, and we'll issue it to them."
It was a minor issue.
But for them, of course, not getting a clear answer would have been unsettling.
"Thank you, President Lin. On behalf of myself, my men here, and the men who have yet to arrive, thank you, President Lin!"
He spoke with a powerful, resonant voice and had a strong presence—the very picture of a hard man.
Lin Chu nodded, motioning for him to sit.
Then, one by one, the others rose to introduce themselves.
Lin Chu listened to each of them, his pen jotting down key points.
'It's been a long time since I've managed anything this hands-on,' he thought. 'But right now, this division needs my full attention.'
'To be honest, this feeling isn't half bad.'
'It's like a real-life strategy game.'
'It easily awakens a man's primal, masculine instincts.'
By the time everyone had finished their introductions, nearly an hour had passed, and the sky outside was approaching dusk.
Thirty-one pairs of eyes were fixed on Lin Chu, waiting for his next words and their mission assignments.
Lin Chu's gaze swept over them once more before he began to speak slowly.
"I have a mission. I'm not going to assign it to anyone specific. You can either volunteer for it yourselves or delegate it to a suitable subordinate. You'll have to assess the risk factor on your own."
"The total bonus pool for this mission is ten million USD, and that can be increased if necessary. This is Mission One. Whatever you need, you'll get."
"There's a research base on the Solomon Islands. It's very important. My request is that you investigate the situation at this base, or at the very least, infiltrate it. For now, there's no time limit."
"Assess the situation, discuss it amongst yourselves. Speak freely."
To be fair, this mission was bound to carry a certain degree of risk.
He'd never been to the Solomon Islands and wasn't familiar with them.
But this was something that had to be done.
These men were all professionals. Even if they hadn't done this exact type of job before, it shouldn't be completely foreign to them.
Since everyone was here, it was best to have them discuss it now.
'This is also a good chance for me to judge from their input who is truly capable and who is merely average.'
