Chapter 2399: Chapter 2400: Cultivation

"Damn it, who the hell has nothing better to do at night than randomly shooting some ghostly stuff!"

While Lin Chen closed his eyes and was recovering from his injuries, a figure emerged from the forest a few miles away, accompanied by a deafening roar amidst a dance of dust and sand.

It was a young man, about twenty years old, with a fair and handsome face, but he now appeared rather disheveled.

He lifted his hands to his waist and his head drooped slightly, probably due to the dust, causing him to cough repeatedly.

"Luckily I reacted quickly."

The young man turned around, looking at the fallen trees behind him, still feeling a bit anxious and somewhat irritated.

Late at night, he felt a slight unease and went out to find a place to relieve himself. But within such a short period, a strong airflow suddenly descended from the distant sky, though it didn’t directly strike him, it did break the trees in the forest, leaving him in a pitiful state.

With a grimace, he gazed into the distance, his eyes showing some anger, indeed it was like that, anyone confronted with such an incident wouldn’t have a pleasant expression.

"Remember this aura, next time, I’ll definitely make him taste some trouble."

The young man snorted coldly as he said this. Although the humiliation wasn’t faced directly by him, it was undeniable that it made him feel embarrassed.

This scene, however, was unknown to Lin Chen.

Now he was fully devoted to enhancing his strength, his consciousness roaming continuously within his Dantian and Sea of Knowledge, after recovering his body, Lin Chen began improving his skills. During this short night, Lin Chen wasted no time as everything he did was to advance his capabilities.

...

This round of cultivation lasted a whole night, during which Lin Chen’s injuries healed remarkably fast. One must commend his body’s regenerative abilities.

With a swoosh, Lin Chen opened his eyes as the rising sun appeared slightly dazzling. He raised his hand to shield himself from the scorching light falling from the sky before standing up.

Though he spent the night entirely immersed in training without a shred of rest, he didn’t make significant breakthroughs. As Lin Chen’s realm advanced, raising his power even slightly was never easy, this wasn’t something achieved in a short while.

Lin Chen evidently understood this fact, so he didn’t feel overly disappointed; he was already used to it.

With a thud, Lin Chen landed from the tree, raising a cloud of dust.

With nothing else to do and seeing that Chen Jie had already woken up, Lin Chen decided not to check up on her anymore.

He leapt down from the tree, feeling his consciousness, which after a day of recuperation had greatly recovered, and thus Lin Chen decided not to venture elsewhere.

He moved towards the cave, where after a night of cultivation, he didn’t linger further but turned back to the cave, sat back down, seating himself in the hollow Wang Hao had left, and once again simulated Wang Hao’s Sword Intent in his mind.

The process was extremely exhausting, but for Lin Chen, it was all worthwhile, so he didn’t get distracted, remaining as focused as the previous night, immersing himself in the solitary training.

Time flew by during this period.

Days passed in the blink of an eye.

On the morning of the sixth day, Lin Chen estimated the time and decided not to stay there anymore. After cultivating, he headed towards Chen Lin’s location.

He hadn’t forgotten what Pan Yan had mentioned before. Now that several days had passed, Lin Chen naturally couldn’t immerse himself entirely in training anymore.

After all, few people know of this place, so finding Lin Chen would take some effort. Missing the timing would be troublesome.

It was something Lin Chen had promised, so he couldn’t easily go back on his word.

As he stepped onto the mountaintop, a chorus of noises nearly pierced Lin Chen’s ears and knocked him off the mountain.

He cleared his ears and then looked forward.

"No wonder it’s so noisy."

Raising his eyes, Lin Chen discovered that today, Chen Lin’s residence was bustling as never before. Not only was Sun Tianming and others there.

But also Pan Yan and his grandson, and several elders including the Sect Master.

Being encircled by Liu Qinghan and several elders was someone who felt very familiar to Lin Chen.

It was a chubby little guy.

Not particularly tall, with a round, plump face. His chubby hands were holding greasy food and kept delivering it to his mouth as he moved.

He chewed incredibly fast, consuming all the food in his hands in just half a breath.

But he still seemed unsatisfied, taking out more food from his Storage Ring to continue eating.

Even Liu Qinghan and the other elders seemed accustomed to it, neither stopping nor saying much, rather showing slight fear towards the person before them.

"Who is this person?"

Though Lin Chen recognized the person before him, he still didn’t know what position this person held in the sect, which piqued his curiosity greatly.

Oddly enough, in the past in the spirit realm, Lin Chen had encountered this chubby boy. It was in an underground cave where his displayed prowess left others far behind and had even saved Lin Chen.

This made Lin Chen not only grateful but also curious, yet he had no clue about his identity, which attracted such respect from so many people.

"Thankfully, we were just saying, if you didn’t come today, we’d have to search around to find you."

Pan Yan smiled calmly as Lin Chen arrived.

Upon hearing this, Lin Chen finally diverted his gaze from the chubby boy and focused back on Pan Yan. He noticed that in these few days, Pan Yan appeared even older, his face filled with wrinkles, resembling a dried tree.

This made Lin Chen feel a bit pained.

Moreover, little Ying was in a similar state, holding Pan Yan’s hand, her head leaning on his arm, remaining silent without her usual noise, adopting a serene demeanor.
