"Can the death penalty be decided by you alone? Haha, who do you think you are? Even if you’re a big shot, do you think you can interfere with the prosecutor’s office and the court?" Li Yifei didn’t wait for an answer, he simply threw Captain Ma to the ground. With a thud, Captain Ma landed on his back with a loud crash. Despite being a solid two hundred pounds, he was effortlessly thrown down and it seemed like his bones had cracked.

"Ouch!" The spectators felt the pain vicariously, and many gasped, wondering who this ruthless person was, daring to directly attack the police, even unafraid of guns. Such things are almost unseen in real life, and if a criminal occasionally had a gun, it would be big news that would unsettle the entire city.

"Anyone else want to come over?" Li Yifei asked the remaining police officers indifferently. Of course, they were eager to act, but when Li Yifei posed the question, they all simultaneously paused, unsure of what to say.

"If you don’t want to be knocked down, get far away, you bunch of losers!" Li Yifei shouted, the words "losers" and "get" stung them, and they immediately flew into a rage, saying, "Enough, there’s no need to insult us like that. That’s Captain Ma from our Criminal Investigation Team, and you dare lay hands on him, kid, you’re really asking for it."

"Oh, the Criminal Investigation Team? Quite the authority, haha!" Li Yifei said in mock amazement, but his face was calm. Instead, his foot moved—a kick—striking Captain Ma, already disoriented, in the ribs, causing him to gasp for air, his face turning purple in pain, wheezing audibly.

He is guilty, he’s made mistakes, but he doesn’t need constant punishment. These people are simply detestable, but criminal acts are not the same as those of the evil magnetic bomb soldier Yang Wei. Except for that guy surnamed Bai, Li Yifei only administered minor punishment to others, not going for the kill; otherwise, not one of them would have been breathing, considering Li Yifei’s training.

"Who can contact your Director, and let him come take a look at this situation!" Li Yifei directly stated.

Several policemen exchanged glances, is this guy too arrogant? Directly demanding to see the Director? What a joke, the Director isn’t easily accessible, available whenever you want.

Lying on the ground, Captain Ma recovered after enduring the sharp pain, and pleaded in agony, "Come help me!"

Originally from the SWAT team, Captain Ma acknowledged Li Yifei’s prowess, deemed him extremely dangerous, and immediately issued an order. Unfortunately, execution capacities were lacking, as nobody dared make a move against Li Yifei—everyone knew he was a formidable guy.

The onlookers were given quite a spectacle; turns out, the world not only has rampant petty thieves beyond police control, but also brave men who can take on thieves and cops alike. Unable to do anything against him, this was true thrill, real satisfaction! With this thought, they couldn’t help but secretly cheer, simultaneously curious about Li Yifei’s identity, guessing only such a powerful person could handle these punks.

The situation became tense; several policemen were at a loss on how to proceed, their Captain in enemy hands. Though Captain Ma wasn’t the acting Captain, he was still in charge, yet now he lay under the ’scoundrel’s’ boot. If they didn’t save him, it would be dereliction of duty; if they did, they risked their own fall.

"Alright, none of you will call, huh? I’ll help you call then." Li Yifei nodded and pulled out a phone, dialing a number—belonging to the Provincial Department’s officer-in-charge. Though titled ’officer-in-charge,’ the level was indeed Deputy Bureau. Initially, the opposite side wasn’t cooperative, but after Li Yifei’s ’correction,’ they improved significantly, knowing that resisting someone like Li Yifei was pointless. Receiving another call from Li Yifei, the officer was shocked, and after listening, had to sigh in admiration at this troublemaker’s ability to stir things up—oh no, make a fuss. While acknowledging the chaos wasn’t Li Yifei’s fault, the pedestrian street being recognized as chaotic indeed needed governance.

"Mr. Li, I’ll report to the Director immediately, and send people over. Please don’t worry." The officer reassured.

Li Yifei smiled lightly and said, "I’m not worried, just afraid of you coming too late, leading to more people getting beaten. Chances are, relevant videos are already online, and when they spread, don’t blame me!"

"Well... I’ll send people over immediately!" Hearing this, the officer realized it wasn’t a matter of consequence; regardless of result, it was a major news event, notably negative. Its fallout would significantly affect Anby City’s overall image, especially tourism. The pedestrian street was a big draw for outside tourists, practically a landmark; if this gets revealed, it’s indeed negative press. Thus, hanging up, he instantly reported to the Director, who, upon hearing, was first stunned, then queried again, seemingly unable to figure out the cause of conflict between the two sides.

"Director, that place is indeed disorderly, long needing regulation, but no policy was issued, so it’s been left chaotic!"

The Director understood and sighed, "Immediately arrange for the troublemaking thieves to be apprehended, the unruly police too!"

"Li Yifei’s intent is... arrest everyone involved today!" The officer cautiously reminded.

"Over a hundred people?"

"Yes, over a hundred."

"Can’t this guy just stop causing trouble? Like, arresting over a hundred at once, families of those people would gather thousands to blockade the government!" The Director felt it was a hot potato; if it got that severe, it wouldn’t be trivial—it could genuinely spark mass incidents. Even as the Director at a Director-General Level position, with aspirations for higher office, found this challenging.

"Then... should we arrest them? Li Yifei’s wife’s situation isn’t resolved yet, now this issue arises, Director!"

"Arrest them; some need a warning. That routine can’t persist. This is Anby City, not Xinjiang!" The Director sighed and said, "I’ll report to the Vice Governor and prepare the upper levels mentally!"

"Alright, I’ll head there now!" The officer exclaimed hurriedly.

So, ten minutes later, the officer led a large contingent of police and SWAT to the scene, dispersing the crowd, also witnessing Li Yifei and others.

Su Lio and company had already left earlier; Li Yifei couldn’t let his wife linger and suffer here. The officer exchanged a few words with Li Yifei, was stunned seeing his face, because it wasn’t Li Yifei’s face—yet in a moment, it morphed back into Li Yifei’s face, almost causing the officer to cry out.

"Leave the matter to you; handle two tasks together. Don’t blame me for meddling—this is helping you people; if ever a heinous case breaks out, it won’t end like this. You agree, don’t you?"

"Agreed, but it’s still challenging now, Mr. Li, you’re giving Anby City a tough puzzle!" The officer remarked; as a Provincial Department cadre, he had also recently connected with the City Bureau leadership, with both sides jointly deploying, tallying two hundred officers, dozens of vehicles, temporarily sealing the area. Yet at the scene, many were surprised: those thieves appeared not severely injured, but were immobilized, bodies seemingly out of control; one had hands severed. Li Yifei emphasized: "This person is in charge, closely tied with Captain Ma, who came forward on behalf. Handle them as you see fit; Anby City’s police-criminal ties, if existent, will render me silent."

"Impossible! Mr. Li, rest assured, I’ll treat this seriously; anyone violating the law will face justice." The officer pledged at once.

There’s no choice, as Li Yifei recorded it again, backed up the video given to the officer, saying, "Handle it as you see fit, but avoid leaking the video to prevent alarm."

"Understood!" The officer nodded repeatedly; Li Yifei approached the surnamed Bai’s side. By now, the man was numb with pain, lying there, drawing breath but unable to exhale. Upon seeing Li Yifei nearing, he suddenly opened his eyes, pointed at Li Yifei, uttering wheezing curses in their ethnic tongue.

"A lawful nation must use law to deal with villains. If laws don’t work, bravery must. Unfortunately, you met me—wicked deeds beget self-inflicted demise; you and Captain Ma wait to see. I’ll monitor your judgment, congratulating when it comes!" Li Yifei whispered, "Under the guise of ethnicity to commit evil, haha, no one can; not when we’re all Huaxia-ethnic, what foreign ethnicity exists? Your words are utterly malicious!"

"You will...be cursed by our god!" The Bai man strained out.

Li Yifei chuckled lightly, "Your god, huh? Sure, let him come find me. As for you, clearly, your god won’t save you, as you’re no longer his follower."

"You...you!" The Bai man was so agitated his fingers trembled, yet he couldn’t utter a word.

Li Yifei had already moved on; the officer immediately ordered arrests. However, saying apprehend might not be accurate—they were lifted away. As Li Yifei mentioned, they’d regain movement in hours, so it was straightforward, just load them casually; but after doing the count, the total exceeded one hundred, amounting to one hundred thirty-plus.

The officer didn’t first feel a headache; he marveled at Li Yifei’s combat abilities. This guy, solo, in no time flattened a hundred thirty-some burly men.

It was indeed a single person’s feat, how did he accomplish it? Post-brawl, showing no signs of fatigue, visibly energetic; thereafter, the officer advised himself internally—no matter who to provoke, never provoke someone like Li Yifei, truly terrifying.
