"I’m never too busy to see you."

Jian Shiwai stepped forward to help him with his coat, hanging it on a nearby rack. "Are you going home tonight?" she asked.

Xu Yun thought for a moment. "I’m guessing your President Dai saw how filthy rich I am and decided to do it on his own. He probably fast-tracked your promotion to suck up to me."

Jian Shiwai was left speechless.

"Congratulations. I guess I can really call you Chairman Jian now."

"Oh, stop teasing me."

Jian Shiwai pouted. "Even if I’m the chairman, I’m still just your little lover, someone you can’t be seen with in public."

"Sounds like you’re complaining."

Jian Shiwai walked over and sat on his lap. "I know you’ve given me everything," she said softly. "Without you, I’d be nothing—just another clerk at the bank."

Xu Yun gave her a playful slap on the behind and chuckled. "At least you remember who dug the well. I’ll try to earn some more to deposit and make you the big boss of the Jiangcheng Branch."

"That’s enough, that’s enough! Any higher and I wouldn’t be able to handle it."

Jian Shiwai said happily, "I’m very satisfied with my current position. Let me settle in and gain some experience for a few years first."

Xu Yun arrived at Jian Shiwai’s new home. It was in a new, high-end residential complex with nice surroundings. The layout was three elevators for every two units per floor, with each elevator opening directly into the apartment.

After accounting for the shared common area, the actual living space of the apartment was about 270 square meters.

It had three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen, and a living room.

It also had two sizable walk-in closets and a large, partially-comped balcony. The view from it was excellent, with a beautiful cityscape at night.
