Chapter 1512: Chapter 1502: Technology Reigns Supreme

Just as He was lost in thought, the system’s icy voice suddenly came again. "You must be careful. The enemy may use the mountain terrain to ram your car."

As soon as the system finished, Jiang Cheng’s reaction kicked in. Mountain terrain—if they used it well, it might become an advantage instead of a disadvantage for them.

Even though it looked like He was in a bad position right now, it still depended on how He used what He had.

The place He was currently in was basically like a big traffic roundabout, with cars everywhere around, and further out, beyond the outer ring, were the mountain slopes.

Now it all came down to judgment and reading the terrain. Jiang Cheng stuck his hand out of the window, estimating the current air humidity and wind speed, trying to find a good solution.

Jiang Cheng整理了一下目前的形势,首先,目前在武器方面本来就是不利的地位,现在如果再不利用这唯一可以利用的地形的话,那自己也就意味着必死无疑了.

He absolutely couldn’t let Himself get trapped in that kind of situation, He had to think of a solution and escape route in advance.

Jiang Cheng looked at the terrain. The flow of vehicles around them was huge. If Zhao wanted to use heavy weapons, a lot of innocent people might get dragged into it, but guys like them usually don’t care about anyone else’s life.

So He couldn’t factor that in. Jiang Cheng kept analyzing the situation as hard as He could, yet He just had the nagging feeling that things were nowhere near as simple as He thought, like He’d missed something in His calculations.

He definitely counted as someone thoughtful and far?sighted, but the more He felt He could control the situation in moments like this, the easier it was for problems to pop up out of nowhere.

Suddenly a thought flashed through Jiang Cheng’s mind: He was a businessman. A businessman’s role was inherently very different—everything was tied to profit, and the first thing a businessman considers is interest.

Profit... shortest displacement! Jiang Cheng smacked His head as the idea hit.

(钱钱 Zhao) He hurriedly reminded Mole, saying, "I just realized, tracking their position, they might use the mountain terrain to ram our car. See if you can adjust the direction so we can dodge them a bit."

"Right! Take the overpass! That way we can just avoid them. Damn, nice! President Jiang." Mole shot Jiang Cheng another approving look.

Seeing Mole’s approving gaze, Jiang Cheng was even more pleased with Himself, His confidence in His own instincts surging. "OK! Let’s hit the overpass!" Jiang Cheng snapped His fingers and said smugly.

But the second Jiang Cheng finished talking, they had already passed an exit. Now they had no choice but to head straight for the overpass ahead.

Once you pass the exit, on this kind of messy, complicated road network you absolutely can’t just stop or reverse on the spot. The moment you reverse, it’s extremely easy to cause a crash.

As they were about to go up onto the overpass, Mole said to Jiang Cheng in a bit of panic, "If they really want to ram us, then going up on the overpass will definitely put us in an even worse spot, because once we’re up there, if the two cars collide, one of them is bound to get flung off. That’s a full?on car crash waiting to happen."

Jiang Cheng smiled at Mole to reassure him and said, "Don’t be so nervous, it’s fine! Just keep driving forward, I’ve got this. Their strength is still below mine and Mole’s—beating them is absolutely not a problem!"

Even though Mole knew Jiang Cheng was insanely capable and believed in Him, in a situation like this, Mole still couldn’t help having doubts.

He was sure He wasn’t wrong: once they went up on the overpass, a collision would inevitably turn into a horrific car crash, and He and Jiang Cheng would die miserably.

Mole gripped the steering wheel tighter, still following Jiang Cheng’s orders and driving forward. But the closer they got to the overpass, the faster his heart pounded, with this constant feeling that something terrible was about to happen.

Jiang Cheng, on the other hand, was different. He was just calmly bouncing His leg, looking out the window, completely unfazed and laid?back.

Mole looked at Jiang Cheng, His heart a mess, worried that one tiny mistake on Jiang Cheng’s part would blow the whole thing up into something huge.

He hesitated, then finally couldn’t hold back and asked Jiang Cheng uneasily, "Are you sure? We’ll really be OK once we go up there? If the two cars really smash into each other, we’re definitely going to get knocked flying."

Jiang Cheng looked at Mole’s face, practically scrunched into a knot, and couldn’t help chuckling as He said, "Hey, relax. You still don’t trust me?"

"I’ve already planned it out. Even if they collide with us, the ones getting flung off will be them, not us. Trust me."

Mole couldn’t help letting out a soft "ugh" from his throat, exhaling lightly. At this point there was no other way.

He couldn’t possibly reverse all the way back, so He could only listen to Jiang Cheng, choose to trust His judgment, and grit His teeth as He drove forward.

Even so, Mole was still a little panicked. Jiang Cheng saw the look on His face and felt a bit concerned.

He decided to comfort An En, saying, "Don’t worry, seriously, it’ll be fine!"

"All of this is within my plan. I thought of a method beforehand—if they fire the cannon at us, we can use the force of the recoil to send them flying instead. In the end, we’ll be safe and sound!"

"Besides, even if we take ten thousand steps back, we’re already on the overpass. There’s no way to get off now, so this is our only option. At this point, you should trust me—and you can only trust me!" Jiang Cheng paused, then continued.

Hearing Jiang Cheng say that, Mole let out a long breath. There really was no other way now; aside from going forward like this, He couldn’t go back. So be it.

Sigh, hopefully heaven will bless Jiang Cheng and Him to get through today safe and sound.

The car kept moving forward, and soon they were approaching the guardrail. Seeing this, Jiang Cheng immediately said, "Break through the guardrail!"

Right after that, they drove straight through. The inertia in the moment was huge, giving Mole quite a scare.

At the same time, Jiang Cheng controlled the vehicle’s anti?aircraft gun, making it fire in their own direction. Seeing this, Mole shouted, "Are you insane, have you got a death wish? Did you aim the wrong way or what?!"

Jiang Cheng paused without rushing, then slowly said to Mole, "Relax, it’s fine. All you need to do now is step on it and keep charging forward."

Mole, hearing this, could only choose to trust Jiang Cheng and drive faster and faster.

The Night grew deeper and deeper, darkness spreading all around. The only thing visible was the flickering headlights of cars.

Jiang Cheng recalled His first day doing business in His previous life. After graduating, He had no idea where to go or what to do.

Thankfully, in this era where technology reigns supreme, He had skills and ability, and could get hold of all kinds of resources. But He wasn’t satisfied with being just a scientist—He chose to become a businessman at the same time!

Yet His interest in technology hadn’t faded because of that. Jiang Cheng thought back on everything He’d been through, gazing out the window with a sigh.
