Chapter 1420: Chapter 1410: Atmosphere

Jiang Cheng looked up at the boss who had just entered, his expression shifting from a formal demeanor to a slightly cautious humility. He knew the person who had come from outside must be related to him in some way; it was just uncertain whether it was Elder Xu or the Sect Leader of the Tang Sect.

The reason Jiang Cheng was walking alongside Wang Tiancheng was that he had calculated Elder Xu would not leave him unchecked. With Wen Xiaobai present, Elder Xu would certainly know Jiang Cheng had been taken away, so despite not having officially received his credentials for the Special Action Team, Jiang Cheng was unafraid.

Upon seeing the boss’s expression as he entered, Jiang Cheng understood that Elder Xu had not let him down.

The big shots of Q Mansion watched the young man stride out confidently from the interrogation room. They all tried to remember him, but none of them had seen him before.

Elder Xu, Elder Tang. Jiang Cheng walked up to these two senior figures he recognized and greeted them politely.

Elder Xu nodded slightly, refraining from showing too much warmth in front of so many people. But Tang had no such concerns.

"Jiang Cheng, you really know how to cause trouble. We just parted not long ago, and you’ve created such a scene for us. Otherwise, we’d all be in the capital now." Tang pretended to complain, but the affection in his eyes when he looked at Jiang Cheng was undeniable. The people around weren’t fools; they could see it too and stored Jiang Cheng’s name and face in their minds, fearing they might accidentally offend him one day and have Elder Xu come knocking, making it impossible to stay in the Hua Family.

"Sorry about that, Elder Xu. I didn’t expect this would happen either, and it’s not what I wanted." Jiang Cheng said helplessly, then proceeded to explain everything in detail, providing evidence through video footage. Despite this, he spoke rather highly of the boss, which made the boss, who was only just realizing what had happened, feel relieved.

However, the faces of several other bosses in the mansion didn’t look so good. They were all partially responsible for the incident. A deputy boss of a government office colluding with local thugs led to lawlessness, giving certain factions too much power. This meant they had a share of the blame, especially the boss who signed off for the mansion.

"Alright, I understand. I’ll deal with this matter tomorrow and give you an explanation," Elder Xu said with a stern expression before turning and leaving the government office. The faces of the bosses changed; what merits did this young man have? Not only did Elder Xu personally come to bail him out, but Elder Xu also promised to give him an explanation! A deputy head giving such commitment to a young man! What did this imply? Elder Xu’s words and actions already represented the authority of the region.

What Elder Xu said was effectively the regional authority speaking.

Everyone present was experienced and astute, and they could all pick up on the underlying meaning.

The boss of Q Mansion, Jiang Weiguang, was the first to react.

"Mr. Jiang, my surname is Jiang, and I’m currently serving as the boss of Q Mansion." Jiang Weiguang extended his hand as he spoke, offering a strong gesture of goodwill.

Of course, Jiang Cheng wouldn’t refuse a friendly gesture and shook hands with Jiang Weiguang.

"Hello, I’m Jiang Cheng, the General Manager of Tencent Company." Jiang Cheng deliberately introduced his company, Tencent.

Jiang Weiguang racked his brains trying to think of Tencent Company, finally recalling that it was the company currently making waves and had just bought a building. Yet, he couldn’t believe that such a small company’s General Manager could warrant such earnest treatment from Elder Xu. Still, the smile on his face didn’t lessen at all.

"I’ve long admired you, Manager Jiang. Tencent Company is indeed an excellent company. If you face any difficulties in the future, feel free to come to me." Jiang Weiguang said with a smile.

"Certainly!"

With the boss leading the way, everyone else was eager to follow, and in a short time, Jiang Cheng managed to acquaint himself with all the senior figures of Q Mansion.

"Everyone, I have to leave now as I have other matters to attend to." Jiang Cheng saw it was about time and bid them farewell before leaving the government office, with the crowd seeing him off until he got into a taxi.

Initially, those bosses wanted to send Jiang Cheng off in a special car, but Jiang Cheng refused, not wanting his company people to get the wrong idea. So he insisted on taking a taxi back.

Half an hour later, the taxi arrived at the entrance of Celestial Horse Manor. The security guard at the gate recognized Jiang Cheng since he was the owner of a villa, arguably the wealthiest person in the community, and certainly deserving no neglect. "Mr. Jiang, you’re back?" The guard greeted him warmly. Jiang Cheng smiled and nodded, not looking down on him for being a guard. "Standing guard all day, it must be tiring. Here, take this pack of cigarettes and share it with the others." Jiang Cheng pulled out a pack of cigarettes, handed to him by someone earlier—a name he couldn’t remember—and gave it to the guard. Since he didn’t smoke, keeping them would have been wasteful.

The guard didn’t hold back, knowing a pack of cigarettes meant little to someone wealthy.

"Thank you, Mr. Jiang!" The guard expressed his gratitude.

Arriving at his villa, the door was open and joyful laughter could be heard faintly from inside, indicating that his company people had arrived. Given that it was almost seven o’clock and getting darker, it made sense.

Jiang Cheng quickly jogged inside as the crowd cheered upon the host’s return.

Old Ma, Old Zhang, and a few others had already arrived.

"Hey, Old Jiang, making us wait so long while you run off to pick out furniture, huh? You have some nerve! Three self-imposed drinks as punishment!" Old Ma exclaimed as he grabbed Jiang Cheng’s shoulder.

"Picking out furniture?" Jiang Cheng was puzzled but quickly caught on when he noticed Wen Xiaobai winking at him. He soon figured it out.

"Well, I hadn’t finished picking out all the furniture. I went to take a look, got carried away, and lost track of time. My phone battery died too, but I’m back now, right? How about I accept the penalty?" Jiang Cheng said with a grin.

Everyone was originally waiting for Jiang Cheng to return, and with him back, the gathering officially commenced!

Given the large number of attendees, a massive dining table was set with three pots, and everyone spread out around them, starting to eat hotpot. The aroma of the hotpot mixed with cheerful laughter as Tencent Company’s first-generation members gathered here.

The next morning, Jiang Cheng woke early. Though alcohol didn’t negatively affect him, the atmosphere the previous night was delightful, and he had enjoyed a hearty meal, causing him to wake early.

Waking up so early, he didn’t know what to do next. Looking outside, the sky was just beginning to brighten, and by this time, many had already started their morning exercises.

"Let’s join the fitness crowd today and climb a mountain." Jiang Cheng said to himself as he got up.

After freshening up, Jiang Cheng drove to the nearest mountain, Celestial Horse Mountain.

Celestial Horse Mountain, located in J County’s Q Mansion district area, gained its name due to its shape resembling a celestial horse roaming freely. The Tenth Year of the Qing Guangxu Period’s "Q Prefecture Village Chronicles" records: "Celestial Horse Mountain stands in the southern suburbs resembling the form of a horse, extending outwardly as though tied to the main road, famously established by Hai Hulian."
