The light soared up to the palace of the Demon King in the Six Desire Heavens, dimming the Devil Palace.

At that time, Devil King Boxun’s nameless wrath rose three thousand feet high, and immediately summoned the Devil’s Son, Deviless, Devil Soldiers, Demon Generals to harm and obstruct. The Devil King’s eldest son, Shang Zhu, advised: "Son observes Prince Suddhodana’s mighty divine virtue, far surpassing us all. I hope Father withdraws this command, otherwise, I am afraid regret will come too late."

The Devil King relied on his divine abilities, changing at will, and did not heed his son’s advice, mobilized the entire devil army to harass the Crown Prince. Then countless terrifying demons, night spirits, evil ghosts, poisonous insects, and malicious beasts surged around the Crown Prince like bees and ants, densely surrounding him, grotesque shapes, ugly sounds, terrifying enough to frighten any person. The Devil King worried the Crown Prince would achieve Tao and surpass his own position, abandoning him for Heaven and Earth instead following his teachings. So he sent three most seductive and beautiful demonesses to tempt the Crown Prince, who dressed and adorned themselves gorgeously, with fragrance overwhelming, surpassing Heaven and Earth’s beauty by ten thousand times. Their graceful and charming shapes, thousandfold allure would ensnare the heart of anyone.

Wave Riding Micro Step brought them before the Crown Prince, with sweet smiles, eager to charm. But the Crown Prince had severed desires, even distinguishing between male and female, human or self was long gone. Heart like the Void, where then could arise dust? Instead, he compassionately admonished them:

Yet, despite earth-shattering disturbances, not a hair of the Crown Prince was harmed. The Crown Prince told him: "In a past life you merely built a monastery, follows eight precepts for one day, gave a Pratyeka Buddha a bowl of rice, due to this merit became the Demon King in the Six Desire Heavens. I—from countless kalpas past (a kalpa is a long period; one world complete and destroyed is one great kalpa)—accumulated infinite merit and wisdom, perfected the six perfections and ten thousand practices. So, attacking me is no different than using an egg to strike against a stone!"

The Crown Prince shone pure light, the devil crowds fell and scattered, surrendered, Boxun alarmed ran back to the Devil Palace.

The Crown Prince sat cross-legged under the Bodhi tree for forty-eight days, at this point on the evening of December 7th, having experienced realms beyond human terror and beauty, subdued demon resentment; the skies were clear, wind gentle and harmonious, the Crown Prince manifested various meditation states, comprehended all matters of past and future across worlds in ten directions. On the eighth child hour, when the morning star appeared, he suddenly enlightened.
