Chapter 2065 - 2063: Has the City of Southern State Fallen?

Chapter 2065: Chapter 2063: Has the City of Southern State Fallen?

Damn it!

It really feels like being duped!

Ye Tianchen had a feeling of disbelief, yet he somewhat had to believe it because Princess Zi Xuan suddenly told him that they seemed not to have arrived in the Northern State but in the Southern State. What was going on?

"Did you...really mess up the coordinates?" Ye Tianchen still looked at Princess Zi Xuan with some disbelief and asked.

"I think so. Why would I lie to you? I don’t have time to waste with you. I promised my master to return before dark, and now we’ve ended up in the Southern State. This is a disaster!" Princess Zi Xuan said, looking anxious, almost on the verge of tears.

Ye Tianchen glanced at Princess Zi Xuan, feeling she wasn’t lying, but it was really hard for Ye Tianchen to accept. How did they end up in the Southern State? Weren’t they supposed to go to the Northern State? What exactly happened?

"Even if what you said is true, you might have made a mistake in the hurry while activating the Transmission Array Compass coordinates, but...how do you know we’ve arrived in the Southern State and not the Western State?" Ye Tianchen asked with a frown.

Princess Zi Xuan glanced at Ye Tianchen, then abruptly shook his hand off and pointed to a spot not far away. "Do you see that building over there that looks like a saber? That’s the heritage site of the Golden Saber Sect!"

"Golden Saber Sect? The heritage of the Golden-faced Young Master?" Ye Tianchen thought for a moment and asked.

"As long as you’re aware, you caused the death of the Golden-faced Young Master; the people of the Golden Saber Sect won’t let you off. If they know you’ve come to the Southern State, they’ll hunt you to the ends of the earth!" Princess Zi Xuan said with a mischievous smile.

"Then go, go to the Golden Saber Sect and report me, tell them Ye Tianchen has arrived in the Southern State!" Ye Tianchen shrugged a little, speaking calmly.

"Cut it out, you think I’m stupid? Although the Golden-faced Young Master was killed because of you, Ye Tianchen, he died on the territory of the Qiong Qi Descendants, and I have some connections with the Qiong Qi Descendants. Would the people of the Golden Saber Sect have any good feelings toward me?" Princess Zi Xuan said irritably.

"As long as you understand, we’re on the same boat. Besides, it looks like you haven’t been to the Southern State either, right? Our priority now is to find the Transmission Array in the Southern State and then return to the Northern State. The more people, the more help we have. You need to work with me, right?" Ye Tianchen chuckled as he spoke.

Princess Zi Xuan looked at Ye Tianchen, though she found this guy somewhat annoying. However, Ye Tianchen was right; Princess Zi Xuan was also visiting the Southern State for the first time. Previously, she had only heard her master mention the Southern State and talked about some things related to the Southern State. As for what the Southern State was really like and where the Transmission Array Compass was located, Princess Zi Xuan had no idea!

"Anyway, if you cause any trouble or get hunted down by the Golden Saber Sect, don’t say you know me!" Princess Zi Xuan looked at Ye Tianchen and said.

"Relax, am I, Ye Tianchen, someone who sells out friends and lacks loyalty? Definitely not!" Ye Tianchen said resolutely.

"Let’s go, there should be cities in the Southern State too. That’s a feature of the Four Great States in the Barbaric Forbidden Land. Only in places with many people can we possibly get information about the Transmission Array Compass!" Princess Zi Xuan said after thinking for a moment.

"I think the same. I’m just curious; the heritage site building of the Golden Saber Sect looks like a saber. Is there a story behind it?" Ye Tianchen asked with curiosity, glancing at the "saber"-like building in the distance.

"I’ll tell you about the legend of the Golden Saber Sect while we walk. Just don’t drag me down..."

After speaking, Princess Zi Xuan flew toward the distance, and Ye Tianchen hurried to keep up; if he found the Transmission Array Compass, Ye Tianchen hadn’t yet learned how to activate it and needed Princess Zi Xuan’s help!

It turns out!

The origin of the Golden Saber Sect is also a mysterious and even bizarre story!

Because the Golden Saber Sect hasn’t given birth to any particularly powerful individuals, its origin comes from a saber falling from the sky!

It was said that in the early stage of the Ancient Era, a massive golden saber descended from above the nine heavens, shattering a mountain range and releasing a formidable power. Curious martial artists went to claim the golden saber but found they couldn’t pull it out from the ground, and at that moment, the golden saber trembled, and a voice resonated through the nine heavens, uttering three words:

"Golden Saber Sect!"

Following this, the martial artists who ventured to this place established the Golden Saber Sect, and around that golden saber, they built the legacy site of the Golden Saber Sect. Thus, the Golden Saber Sect appeared in this world, in the Southern State of the Barbaric Forbidden Land, and has been passed down to this day!

However, although there haven’t been any notable figures from the Golden Saber Sect, no Saints have emerged, and no peak martial artists in the Emperor Realm have been born, the reputation of the Golden Saber Sect has always been widespread in the martial arts world. Because from the moment the legacy of the Golden Saber Sect appeared, the martial artists who emerged from it, though not particularly powerful, were never weak. This is the most surprising and incredible aspect!

It is imaginable that no matter how powerful the legacy, how formidable the Cultivation Immortal Sect, or how outstanding the Cultivation Family, they all have successors of varying talent and strength. Yet, every disciple that comes out of the Golden Saber Sect possesses extraordinary strength, which is truly peculiar!

"The Golden Saber Sect is indeed a bit strange. It has never produced a peak martial artist, yet every member that comes out has considerable strength. What is actually going on?" Ye Tianchen subconsciously asked.

"How would I know? I’ve only heard my master say that the legacy of the Golden Saber Sect is very mysterious and bizarre. Their secrets should lie in that golden saber that descended from the sky in the Ancient Era. However, even if there are strong individuals with such curiosity, they dare not casually try, because no one can ascertain what this golden saber is all about..." Princess Zi Xuan thought for a moment and replied.

"It’s that mysterious? I don’t believe no one has been curious enough to check out that golden saber..." Ye Tianchen shook his head and said.

"Believe it or not, my master says that no one has been able to, and it’s also said that from the early Ancient Era to the present, that golden saber remains inserted at the spot where it originally landed, and to this day, no one has pulled it out. The people of the Golden Saber Sect simply worship it and dare not easily move it!" Princess Zi Xuan considered and said.

Ye Tianchen, hearing Princess Zi Xuan’s words, furrowed his brow and asked with suspicion, "Logically, that golden saber should be the most mysterious treasure, possibly possessing some kind of divine power that anyone would want to study. Yet, the people of the Golden Saber Sect seem indifferent. Why is that? Don’t you find it too strange?"

"How would I know? It’s not any of my business. I’m just kindly telling you what I know. If you’re curious, go and take a look at the Golden Saber Sect yourself!" Princess Zi Xuan chuckled teasingly.

"Don’t mock me. I genuinely want to take a look. Wait and see, if I have enough time, I’ll certainly go!" Ye Tianchen chuckled mischiefly.

"I don’t care. Just don’t delay my return to the Northern State. We’re almost there..." Princess Zi Xuan frowned and said.

Ye Tianchen glanced ahead and saw a towering city wall about a hundred miles away, faintly visible with the words "Southern State." That should be the city of the Southern State!

"Let’s go. We still need to find the location of the Transmission Array Compass. It’s urgent to go to the Northern State, urgent to go to your Flying Flower Zen Temple!" Ye Tianchen chuckled and said.

Whoosh!

Whoosh!

Both turned into beams of light, speeding through Qi Manipulation Flight, heading towards the city of the Southern State. Neither spoke again, both feeling somewhat curious since it was their first time coming to the Southern State, and both worried about what to do if they couldn’t find the Transmission Array Compass right away.

When Ye Tianchen and Princess Zi Xuan arrived at the gate of the Southern State city, they noticed there were no guards at the city gate, which seemed off. They exchanged a glance without saying anything and walked into the city of the Southern State together!

"Why is it like this?" Princess Zi Xuan muttered with a frown.

"Could something significant have transpired here?" Ye Tianchen also questioned himself out loud.

As Ye Tianchen and Princess Zi Xuan walked into the city of the Southern State, they discovered ruins everywhere, the remnants looking like wreckage. The buildings within the city were also dilapidated, as though it had been abandoned long ago!

"No, there are no traces of a battle here. It was naturally abandoned. Didn’t expect the Southern State to turn out this way!" Princess Zi Xuan looked around and said.

"Isn’t the Barbaric Forbidden Land the territory of the Demon Beast Clan? Even if legacies of the Human Clan enter, it should be powerful Demon Beast Clan controlling the city. Why has the city of the Southern State become deserted?" Ye Tianchen questioned with puzzlement.

"It should still be due to some changes, but this change didn’t come from war!" Princess Zi Xuan thought it over and said.

"We should look around. Maybe we can find some living beings to inquire..." Ye Tianchen furrowed his brow and said.

The city of the Southern State, when Ye Tianchen and Princess Zi Xuan arrived, was already desolate, like it hadn’t been inhabited or active for a long time, which was truly strange and even eerie. What has happened here? What had happened before? Can Ye Tianchen and Princess Zi Xuan still successfully find out where the Transmission Array Compass of the Southern State is located?
