Chapter 603 -603-Master of the Cursed Sword, Holy Emperor of Light

Chapter 603: Chapter603-Master of the Cursed Sword, Holy Emperor of Light

A man in a gray robe, hair flowing freely, sat cross-legged in the middle of the Cursed Sword Sea.

Beneath him stood a dark-red elevated platform, engraved with ancient runes.

Each rune breathed slowly, and with every breath, the surrounding sea of swords resonated in harmony.

A figure entered the platform, circling twenty-four murderous sword shadows.

It was David.

He respectfully bowed toward the man at the center of the platform, holding the recently reclaimed Cursed Sword in both hands.

Clang—!

The Cursed Sword seemed to sense its master’s presence. With a resonant cry, it rose into the air, soaring back into the swirling Cursed Sword Sea, taking its rightful place at last.

In that instant—

The entire sword sea boiled with energy!

Billions of blades simultaneously erupted with endless killing intent, converging like rivers into the ocean, merging instantly into the returning Cursed Sword.

The final step of the sword’s forging was complete!

A beam of light emanated from the cross-legged man, descending onto the Cursed Sword.

He examined the scar on the blade—a wound inflicted by Suggwoth’s strike.

Then he glanced at David, before merging into the Cursed Sword itself.

David lowered his head in response.

“This sword was under the control of one of Aurek’s generals. When I retrieved it, he inflicted this wound.”

“No wonder.”

A voice, cold and filled with lethal intent, echoed across the sword sea.

Though the cross-legged man did not move a muscle, his mind power was everywhere.

David asked hesitantly,

“Mentor, Aurek… does he really have that much potential?”

“To be sensed by the Tablet of Destiny, and appear at the very pinnacle, suppressing nine positions below—”

The lethal voice continued slowly,

“His fortune is unprecedented. Most cannot hope to kill him easily.”

“Now that all the swords have returned, if I construct the Devouring Magic Sword Array, using the resentment of sentient beings and the ferocity of the Cursed Sword, it would be enough to sever his destiny.”

“Killing him is difficult, but not impossible.”

The voice paused.

“However, my Devouring Magic Sword Array was not prepared for him. No need to waste it on him.”

“When your true body returns, using twenty-four slaughter swords, along with those on the Tablet of Destiny, he can be killed. At that time, you can gradually divide his destiny among yourselves.”

“The Origin, Chaos, and Primordial Epoch factions are playing a grand game, seeking the Dark Abyss.”

“Everything happening now is still under their control. Until the critical moment, anyone who jumps out first risks disaster.”

David’s heart skipped.

“Mentor, can the thing in the Dark Abyss truly elevate someone to Eternal Sage Rank?”

“You must understand, we are all ants in a cage,”

the voice, calm as still water, carried an indescribable sense of desolation.

“But the existence within the Dark Abyss is not!”

“A near-Eternal Sage Rank can touch destiny, can command the Fate River, yet that supreme being simply glanced at them—”

“Those who had ruled countless eras were reduced to dust without resistance.”

“How could we hope to fathom the being imprisoned within the Dark Abyss?”

David felt a suffocating weight in his chest.

The voice echoed again:

“Under the reflection of the Fate River, what seems traceable is in fact unpredictable!”

Ancient Epoch – Narsai Kingdom of Light

Before a brilliant star stood a throne, upon which sat a towering figure of radiant light.

Behind him, a massive halo intertwined with the star’s radiance.

His eyes glimmered with faint holy light.

He appeared like a deity enthroned in brilliance.

Far away, a Supreme Sage Rank bowed respectfully, reverence evident in every gesture.

“Your Majesty, the Stellar Saint-Emperor and Saint Emperor of the Cycle have been driven into the Chaos Singularity. The multiverse is now under the rule of the Crossbridge Empire.”

“Everything follows a cycle; destiny bypasses no one.”

The light-emperor’s voice was cold, tinged with subtle mockery.

He too had once been driven into the Chaos Singularity by the three Divine Courts.

It had cost him dearly to establish his foothold there.

Now it was the turn of the Reincarnation and Starfont Divine Courts.

Whether they could survive remained to be seen.

“Leave them aside for now. Recall all strong beings and gather the legions!”

The emperor of light said slowly.

“Someone has found the Gateway to the True Universe. This disturbance of the Tablet of Destiny will likely draw them all back.”

The supreme sage rank looked puzzled.

“If they found the gateway to the True Universe, why would they return?”

The emperor of light sneered.

“It’s simple—they cannot enter!”

“Not even near-Eternal Sage Rank can tread there.”

“So they return, seeking the Dark Abyss, trying to find a way from what the supreme being restrains.”

“The attackers from the Origin River Universe and other universes will also return soon. Then, the multiverse will once again become the focal point.”

The sage’s expression changed drastically.

When that supreme being had left previously, it had triggered a great Star Sea upheaval.

The remnants of the Origin and Chaos Epochs fought nearly to collapse the entire Star Sea universe to claim what she left behind.

Divine Courts and factions from all eras were forced to intervene, plunging the Star Sea into darkness.

Though he had not lived through the entire period, he had witnessed the end of the dark age.

He knew the stakes.

If it happened again, even the Ancient Epoch’s strength would suffer tremendous losses, perhaps near annihilation.

“Your Majesty… will you participate as well?”

He asked, concern evident.

The emperor of light pondered.

“This matter can wait.”

“But Aurek harbors a significant secret. I want it.”

He paused.

“We will not interfere with the Dark Abyss; let them search at will.”

Since sending scouts to probe the Star Sea, he had already learned many secrets.

Given the recent disasters of the two Divine Courts, he was convinced that Aurek had relied on a tremendous secret to rise so quickly.

This secret not only accelerated his ascent but helped him cultivate countless powerful legions.

To control this secret would greatly amplify Ancient Epoch’s power, even without seizing the Chaos Singularity.

Then, even if they joined the search for the Dark Abyss, they would have enough strength to endure the possible calamities.

Moreover, he suspected that the twelve-level Divine Sanctuary the supreme being once had the Star Courts construct—could it be the Dark Abyss itself?

The supreme sage rank bowed respectfully.

Compared to facing the old remnants or Chaos forces, the Crossbridge Empire would be far easier to deal with.

Chaos Source Point – Eastern Sea of Fate, Chaos Universe

An ancient Chaos Giant guarded the gateway to the universe.

Deep within the cosmos,

a colossal hall, built from stars, floated in the Star Sea.

A giant in golden armor manipulated a condensed nebula, as if a creator, gently arranging everything within before releasing it into the cosmos.

Behind him stood two giants in mottled armor.

“My king,” one Chaos Giant reported,

“The Outcast of the Origin Epoch has returned from outside the True Universe. She has ascended to 6th level Supreme Sage Rank and brought back a fragment capable of severing destiny.”

“She has returned this time because of the Dark Abyss.”

The golden-armored giant slowly turned.

“I understand. Prepare yourselves. Only by opening the gateway to the True Universe can we follow in the footsteps of that supreme being.”

“Now, with the gateway appearing, the Tablet of Destiny has shifted. Authority in the multiverse has changed, especially with Aurek’s strange rise in the Crossbridge Empire… His growth is undoubtedly abnormal.”

“If all these events were unrelated, it would be impossible,” one armored giant asked.

“My king means… Aurek knows something?”
