Chapter 472 History That No One Knew (Bonus)
Forest of Death.
In the middle of a forest stood a castle that was accompanied by all the decaying ground, trees, and animal bones, giving a rather gloomy and eerie feeling.
A man stood on the balcony while looking at the sky.
“What are you doing, Elysion? Looking at the ash in the sky?” Hel walked to the balcony while furrowing her eyebrows. “Well, I can sense a lot of deaths from this. The ash that covers the entire world, huh?”
“Yeah.” Elysion had a sad smile on his face. “This is the beginning of everything. Right after the 534th new year, the world was experiencing the largest volcanic eruption in mankind’s history. The ash from that mountain covered the entire world, causing a long winter.
“Everything went into a downward spiral after that. It killed more than 80% of the human population in this land, allowing the aliens to push forward by ignoring the ash.
“From that point onward, more and more aliens would appear. Not only their numbers, but their qualities would increase.
“Without any means of fighting back, the summoners continued to do their best protecting what was left, but the situation would only deteriorate further.
“As a result, the world’s population was reduced to 10%, and there were only a couple of thousand summoners left.
“Unfortunately, this was not enough. The knights couldn’t fight against stronger aliens, and the summoners had to do everything by themselves. A lot of them became tyrants and tried to escape when things went awry.
“Even worse, with the fact that our food supply would be used up. People had fallen into despair, not finding any way to fight back. The only thing they could do was wait for our death.
“2 years after the volcanic eruption, humanity ended.” Elysion closed his eyes with a pained look.
“Shouldn’t you warn them about this?” She asked.
“I have given some clues.”
“The prophecy? Now that I think about it, why would you spread clues about the prophecy of the end of the world by mentioning it to be a hundred-year-old prophecy? If you used your name, it would be more effective. You are the strongest summoner in the world.”
“No. This is why I seclude myself here. The people with high social standing will question my actions, wondering if I want to destroy the world or something. In the end, I might become a demon lord in their eyes, which would be the target of subjugation. Hence, I couldn’t do it.”
Hel frowned. “As a result, there was a sneaky rat that used your prophecy as their main goal. Should we erase them?”
“No. No need. They would be a perfect stepping stone for him.”
“That boy with divine beasts, huh?” Hel squinted his eyes.
“Yeah. I hope he will become a variable that can truly change the world… In fact, he should be doing something to deal with it right now. What about the cores? Have we sent them?”
“Yes.”
“In that case, they will probably need blacksmiths. How many blacksmiths have we gotten so far?”
“About 100. I don’t know the exact number.”
“If they need them, send them immediately.”
“You seem to put a lot of trust in this boy. Well, he is the person who my brother chooses, so…” Hel shrugged.
Elysion just smiled as a certain voice rang in his mind. “The world is done for. I will sacrifice my life to do something that might change the world, but I don’t think I will be there to see it. I hope you can help me see through it…”
Elysion nodded. “Yes. I believe in him.”
Hel squinted her eyes before shrugging, unable to see through his mind.
…
Frexia Academy.
Nathan, on the other hand, returned to the Frexia Academy as soon as he was done with the farm. The first place he visited was definitely his house, but to his surprise, Selena wasn’t there. Your journey continues with empire
“Hmm? She hasn’t reached that place… Or maybe she has gone with Sera? We probably just miss each other on the way.” Nathan shrugged. Since Selena wasn’t in the academy anymore, he just expected that Selena and Sera had gone to their new home.
Hence, Nathan went straight to the student council office. This was the only place he could think of to find Flora.
And as he expected, he could feel a presence inside the room. Without hesitation, Nathan opened the door, finding Flora inside.
“Nathan? What are you doing here?” Flora raised her eyebrows. “Aren’t you supposed to be over there dealing with the food supply?”
“I have some good news and bad news. Also, I’m here to request something.” Nathan walked into the room. He looked at Flora’s tired face, as she had been scribbling a lot of things. There were papers all over her table. “What is this?”
“Just some protocols that I have in mind to ensure the safety of the students. There will probably be a lot of panic and chaos after everyone wakes up, so I’m preparing just in case.” Flora paused for a moment. “Give me good news first.”
“Sure.” Nathan nodded. “We have a concrete plan on how to tackle the food problem. And this is assumed to be working not only for us but also for other cities without our unique familiars. The only requirement is to have a familiar that can speed up the plant growth speed.”
“That’s not uncommon. There is already a lot of practice for it, mostly in the Holy Kingdom. There are also merchants doing that, so the requirement is not really that hard.”
“Yep. The problem will be the ash cloud. My teacher is working on it. I’m going to the Blacksmith Guild after this to request some support. If this works, it will definitely allow people to produce their own food. If enough cities do this, there should be no problem in producing food for 50 million people. Of course, thanks to the fairy queen, other projects can continue as well, which will bolster our front line.”
“!!!” Flora’s tired face disappeared. She stood up with a brightened expression. “Are you serious? Doesn’t that mean everything is going to be fine?”
“I can’t guarantee it, but if it works according to the plan, then yes.”
Flora pumped her fists as if she was the one who accomplished it. “This is definitely good news! I need to inform my father… No, I can’t leave my station right now. This will help a lot of people!”
Flora’s body was shaking, as she couldn’t contain her excitement.
Nathan just smiled and nodded his head, enjoying her excitement.
