Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts
Chapter 1996: Space and Duality
"He’s definitely saying that on purpose," Raphael commented without hesitation.
"Definitely." Sera sighed.
"That might be good. With Lady Lilith as a part of the harem, she can definitely boost his stamina and... I don’t think it’s the time to say that, but since it’s just a matter of familiars, you don’t have to worry..."
"..." Sera’s eyebrows twitched. Even though she was a familiar, Nathan had already got a lot of wives among the familiars, like Mae, Risa, Brunhild, and Charlotte.
She really needed to talk about this later to see who was first. Was it Lilith who seduced him and implanted that thought in Nathan’s mind? Was Asmodeus playing around with her? Or was Nathan the one thinking about it?
"Everyone, focus!" Evelyn glared at them.
"Yes, Ma’am!" Sera froze and hurriedly replied.
Evelyn snorted and rushed toward the true god, clashing with him again. There was another reason Evelyn could keep up with the true god.
That was none other than her own ability. After finding Machina, Evelyn had been refining her own power with the knowledge about space.
Nathan’s space power was related to dimensions, such as size. Meanwhile, Evelyn’s space element was related to her gravity.
Because of Machina, she learned that gravity was generated because mass distorted spacetime.
When she thought about it, she could simply ignore the mass part and focus on the space that was distorted. This was what she excelled at.
Rather than focusing solely on creating a black hole, Evelyn got a more concrete idea of how to get to that point.
The first one was her domain, which controlled the space. She could distort the space within her domain according to her will.
In that case, what would happen if she folded the space? She folded it again and again, turning a hundred meters into one meter?
This was distance, the part of the space element that she was good at.
Nathan had used this kind of power before to stop the god-level alien’s attack. However, the way he did it was different from hers.
She folded this space to generate the gravity which would align with her own gravity element.
The reason Brunhild and the Skeleton God could arrive next to the true god in an instant wasn’t teleportation. She simply shrank the space required for them to travel.
After Asmodeus hit the true god with lust, Evelyn folded the space again and generated gravity.
Then, she expanded that space in one go, which could generate an extraordinary force by itself. However, the gravity that formed on top of it got boosted by her gravity element before fusing with the force from the folded space.
It created a pure invisible force that was almost unstoppable.
The true god was regaining his balance after getting blown away, but Evelyn had arrived and launched another attack.
She folded the space and launched it toward him.
The true god was forced to avoid it so that he could regain his balance.
In the end, it hit one of the nearby moons with so much impact that it almost cracked the moon in two.
The true god clicked his tongue. While he could easily do the same as Evelyn, it was unexpected to see a god like Evelyn.
Even among the gods they brought, not a single one of them could bring out the same amount of force as the one Evelyn used.
Seeing how Evelyn kept up with the true god made Sera want to do something. She didn’t want to just focus on being protected without contributing anything else other than giving a boost to their power.
Sera fell silent. "Duality, huh?"
She couldn’t help but remember the advice from Nathan. Since she was the parallel line that could turn something into the opposite, she couldn’t help but wonder if her power would work like that.
Sera took a deep breath. "What if the stars do not exist? What if the moons do not exist? What if..."
Janus didn’t say anything. Because of Nathan’s influence, Sera’s way of using duality had gradually moved away from the way Janus taught her.
At the same time, he didn’t know whether this power would work or not. If it truly worked, Sera would find a path that was much stronger than his. It would lead her directly to the true god, a realm he couldn’t achieve before.
If it didn’t work, he would be there to stop her.
So, Janus was just watching from the sidelines.
"Haaaa!" The true god thrust his spear while Evelyn expanded the space.
The clash of their forces caused a powerful shock wave that shattered the already cracked moon.
Evelyn frowned, realizing that her power was still not enough to face the true god even with Sera’s help.
But this was when Sera came in.
"Duality. Exist and not exist!" She mumbled, still not thinking about the name or having a full, concrete idea about this new technique.
What she was doing was trusting her own power and trying to develop it further into the unknown.
If in this world the power of the true god existed, in her world that power didn’t exist.
So Sera snapped her finger, trying to flip the existing power into the one in her world.
As soon as her duality divinity erupted, the power around the true god’s spear started to flicker.
"!!!" The true god was dumbfounded. What did Sera do?
Unfortunately, he couldn’t afford to have such thoughts right now because that split-second ’non-existent’ power had allowed Evelyn’s folded space to break through.
Bam!
"Gah!" The true god felt the full force of the folded space as though his entire body had just been hit by a meteorite flying at near the speed of light.
Evelyn blinked a few times. She didn’t understand what happened as well, but it was clear that Sera did something.
She turned around with a dumbfounded expression. "What did you do?"
Sera also couldn’t believe what she had just done.
...
While they were confused, one more battle ended.
Selena looked closely at the corpse floating in front of her. She killed a true god.
