Chapter 1647: Elysion’s Help
Chapter 1647: Elysion’s Help
In the end, Nathan headed to Elysion’s place.
Just like last time, Evelyn and Luna accompanied him.
"So, you have a plan?"
"Yes." Nathan opened the world map. "We are going to split them up. Will this change anything for you?"
"Split them up? Interesting. I need to know the exact details first."
"Yes." Nathan nodded with a serious expression. He pointed to the map. "As you may already know, I’ve gone to another continent.
"I’m planning to go to the other continent and get their support. Using my own situation, I can probably split their group into two.
"I will use the support from the other continents to take down the other half without many losses. But it means I have to bring my entire group there."
"I see." Elysion crossed his arms. It was no wonder that Nathan asked if that changed the way Elysion approached this problem.
"What do you need? I can wipe them out if you want, but that also means the enemy will become stronger."
"No. We can’t do that yet."
"In that case, my army will hold them off. This way, I don’t participate in this war directly. At the same time, it will only buy you about three to five days at most. The Azilia Kingdom needs to be ready to abandon a few forts as well. However, there won’t be any casualties if you can finish up there quickly."
"Three to five days..." Nathan looked down, contemplating. The time window was very limited.
Fighting against so many elite class aliens would take time. They would also spend so much energy.
As a result, they would need time to recover their strength.
However, the chance was there.
If he planned to ask for the dynasty and the empire’s help, he would also need to pay a considerable price.
Still, Nathan answered, "We can do it."
"You can?"
"Yes." Nathan nodded with a serious expression. "The enemy will appear at the same time even if we stop them. I’m pretty sure that the enemies are not hiding in this world but in their world.
"A new portal will appear to send them here," Nathan explained.
"But you still asked that guy to scout the frontline..."
"Yes." Nathan nodded. "The reason is simple. If they’re going to form a portal, it won’t be too deep. If it’s too deep, the army will take time to form, and we can chip away at their strength gradually."
"But it also means they can pull in all aliens in their path," Elysion interjected.
"Maybe." Nathan pointed at the map. "However, a battle of attrition is my specialty. We have two space element users, so launching a sneak attack is easy.
"The only problem is a head-on attack. We are still lacking the strength to confront them head-on.
"That’s why we have to change our strategy a little bit. They will form a portal near the human territory, so we will first split them by using the space elements. Then, we will eliminate them gradually to the level where we can finally face them head-on."
Elysion asked, "Won’t they form a portal in the human territory? It will cause so much damage to humans."
"The aliens are killing anything in their path that they deem to threaten their lives. That means they focus on the so-called threats.
"Right now, there are bigger threats in their eyes. They will focus on us rather than smaller threats. It’s true that they can split up and cause devastation, but that also means we will easily crush them one by one. So, it’s best to remove the threat first and annihilate the humans later."
"I see." Elysion crossed his arms. "So, you just want me to stop them, right?"
"There is one more small request. We want you to carry a teleportation circle for us. Once we are done on the other continent, we will be going back through the circle. We will first contact you and jump to your location with the circle you’re carrying. We will contact you through a communication ring once we’ve arrived."
"Teleportation circles... If you are able to create them, shouldn’t you just bring those people from other continents to this one? We can create an even stronger force to resist the aliens."
"That also means the aliens from other continents will be coming for us. However, I do intend to go to the other two continents."
"The other two continents? You haven’t gone there yet?"
"Yes. One of them is the location of the supervolcano that plunged the world into darkness.
"Although the numbers will be low, there might be survivors over there. That continent has probably been decimated, so I’m thinking of going there to rescue the survivors.
"Just like what happened in Erendtall, this continent may have another way to utilize the summoning power. If we can integrate it into our power, we can get even stronger.
"The other continent is a bit too far. I don’t expect much from this continent, but I don’t know whether they are still able to fend the enemy off or not.
"After all, the supervolcano has completely cut the food supply."
Elysion thought for a moment. "So, you’re planning to visit them before leaving this world?"
"Essentially, yes." Nathan thought it would be a good idea to visit other continents. At least he could confirm the theory about aliens fighting on all four fronts.
Then, he would bring Crotto to the front line to locate the portals and bring them to other worlds.
He was also considering meeting Cthulhu one more time, but he still didn’t know if it was the correct decision or not.
Nevertheless, the situation had reached this point.
"All right. I promise you that I will hold them back for 5 days. If that’s not enough, I have to step onto the battlefield myself."
"Understood. Thank you for the help." Nathan nodded with a serious expression.
"There is one question that keeps bothering my mind. I wonder if you can answer it." He raised one finger. "On a scale of 10, how screwed is this world?"
Nathan smiled. "A dumb question. Fighting Azathoth alone means we’re 100 out of 10 screwed, not to mention the singularity that can control such a being."
