Chapter 1331: Luna Eleren?
Chapter 1331: Luna Eleren?
Nathan gave an order to all familiars through telepathy.
’We will now run to the northeast. This is the only way to survive.’
The divine beasts were surprised, not knowing what Nathan was planning. However, Nathan never did anything meaningless in battle. Even Xolotl came to acknowledge Nathan’s ability after fighting alongside him for three months.
If he said this was the only way to survive, it meant this was the only way. Even Xolotl knew it wasn’t the time to put his pride on the line. If Nathan died, everything was meaningless.
’Go!’ Nathan shouted.
All divine beasts, as well as Nathan, immediately jumped in the same direction.
“!!!” Frequency was confused. Why did they suddenly move? Even the two familiars that handled the other assassin actually retreated.
He thought Nathan wanted to silence the assassin to prevent his information from being spread wide.
So, his movement didn’t make sense. Besides, the base was on the opposite side. If he waited long enough, either the commander and vice commander or Regina would be able to help him. Yet, Nathan actually moved in the opposite direction.
There was only one feasible explanation. Nathan might have a trump card in this direction. And that trump card could save him. He had been biding his time to play this trump card.
Whatever it was, he couldn’t afford to let Nathan do what he wanted. His wits were already troublesome enough, so if he disappeared and couldn’t be traced again, he might grow to a terrifying level before showing himself again.
Besides, he continuously blocked the south direction, which meant Nathan wouldn’t be able to go back to the base.
’He either trusts this trump card or is too reckless.’ Frequency snorted. ’Now that I think about it, he is young from what I have heard. He might not have enough experience to hide his intentions. It’s clear that there’s something in this direction.
’As long as I prevent him from going there while maintaining my blockade to that base, he will only send himself to death.
’You are too young, kid.’ Frequency snorted. ’Blame yourself for being chosen by the losing side.’
Frequency used his fastest speed to catch up. The assassin had no choice but to follow suit. As long as Frequency could kill Nathan, it was all good. He just had to assist him silently.
Thanks to that little confusion, Nathan was able to run for about 400 meters before Frequency caught up with him.
“The Grace of Heaven and Earth!” Qilin activated his power.
Frequency could see the power from the ground and the sky that approached him as if it was attempting to crush him.
However, Frequency simply stomped the ground, using the vibration to negate the power on the bottom. Then, he used that sound wave to produce a bump that gave him the little boost he needed to pass Qilin.
“Tsk.” Qilin frowned. Anubis hurriedly sent forth his bandages as well as the five tomb guardians.
Unfortunately, the tomb guardians were merely good for low-level people. Frequency simply sliced them in two with no problem while bypassing the bandage.
He wanted to activate his power, but Frequency had already reached Nathan.
Nathan’s expression turned grim. He sent forth the void bullet before gathering his power in his fist.
Frequency surprisingly destroyed the void bullet, causing the expansion of void between them. It was natural that Nathan also got hit by the expansion.
“Kh…” Nathan was confused. He thought Frequency would want to let it go so that he could hit him. Nathan prepared the Spatial Collapse to stop Frequency from obliterating his limbs or killing him.
Yet, Frequency simply took that void bullet head-on so that Nathan would get hit as well.
It didn’t make sense.
But Frequency actually used that expansion to propel himself in front of Nathan, cutting off his escape route.
“!!!” Nathan widened his eyes in shock. “You…”
“You are too green. Has anyone ever told you to hide your intentions? I guess that will be the last lesson you will ever receive in this life.”
Nathan glanced to the side. It had been blocked by his familiars and the assassins, so he couldn’t return to the base.
“…” Nathan gritted his teeth and rushed to the left, trying to find a gap to pass Frequency.
Frequency simply ran in the same direction, standing as a wall between him and whatever trump card he had.
Of course, Frequency kept attacking Nathan, trying to kill him. But before he could kill him, Nathan surprisingly turned around, trying to slip past the familiars so that he could return to the base.
This sudden change of direction actually threw Frequency off guard. He managed to survive a killing blow, but when Frequency caught up, Nathan would turn around again and try to find another gap.
Unfortunately for him, Frequency kept up with him just fine. He managed to barely survive because he had managed to trick Frequency this way, but he couldn’t use the trick anymore.
So, Nathan used one last trick.
“Ha… Ha…” Nathan looked exhausted. Anubis had been healing him, but he had lost a lot of blood. His complexion had become pale. It would be a matter of time before he died.
Frequency still showed no gap. Nathan couldn’t even injure him. Seeing the incoming Frequency, Nathan used that trick.
’Sorry, Fenrir, Orochi, for making you two do this.’
’Make us the first ones to reach 5 million ena, and we’ll be even!’ Fenrir grinned. He gathered his power in his mouth and actually sent the Absolute Force to Frequency.
Orochi turned his head around and sent forth the poison breath.
“Make a run for it, Summoner!” Orochi shouted.
Their respective opponents took advantage of this gap and hit them. The muscular troll hit Fenrir in the face, breaking his nose and a few teeth. At the same time, the golem produced a crystal underneath Orochi and stabbed four of his heads.
“Gah!” Both Fenrir and Orochi were severely injured.
But it forced Frequency to swing his sword to intercept their attacks in order to protect himself.
Nathan took this chance to run at his fastest speed.
What he didn’t expect was that Nathan actually didn’t try to pass him. The direction he was going was the same direction as the one he used to find a gap to pass him.
In that instant, Frequency realized what was going on. He had been tricked. Nathan never wanted to pass him. He just acted as if he wanted to pass him when his true intention had been in this direction.
“You…” Frequency had the audacity to educate him when he was actually the one being tricked.
Flustered, he released everything he had to catch up to him.
“Die!” Frequency was furious. He sent forth his sword strike to stop Nathan, but it looked like Nathan’s gamble had paid off.
Even though he said he was going to run 10 km, there was no way he could cover that distance against Frequency. He took a gamble in the first direction.
He noticed the sigil turned off again after some distance, meaning he was already outside the detection of the other sigil. But the moment he sensed the sigil turned back on, he realized that the other party was also searching for him.
That meant he had to cover just a small distance while the other party would cover the rest.
By moving back and forth, he could send a message that he was in a battle. And his sigil kept showing that the other party was actually rushing toward him.
And so, he managed to win the gamble.
Suddenly, a woman showed up. Unlike the rumors, the woman had brown hair. If Nathan looked closely, the woman actually had attached joints on her arms and legs as though she were a doll.
This person was holding a huge red coffin in front, charging straight toward the sword strike.
“!!!” Nathan widened his eyes to take a closer look. ’Is that woman… Luna Eleren?’
