Chapter 1051: A Contract with an Alien

Chapter 1051: A Contract with an Alien

“Nathan…” Bella’s body was shaking uncontrollably.

Nathan’s expression turned grim. Evelyn looked like she was going to say something to Bella, but Nathan opened his mouth first. “Bella… and everyone else… are to vacate the room.”

“Nathan!” Bella gritted her teeth. Her childhood friend looked like she was going to die at any moment.

Yet, Nathan had the same expression as her. It was as if he was telling her he wished to save her as well. Even though their reasons were different, the desire to save her was the same.

If she remained here, she might hinder him from finding that method.

Bella wanted to raise her voice, but the words stuck in her throat. Sera came to her side while whispering, “Let’s go. I don’t know what he wants to do, but Nathan has always found a way. I will tell you what happened… Let’s believe in him.”

Bella looked unwilling, but there was no other choice. The longer she stopped him, the lower the chance for him to save Evelyn.

“Save her!” Bella could only save those two words before leaving the room.

Those words made Nathan solemn. That was what he was going to do.

“Do you need us inside? I’ve fixed her internal injuries.” Anubis asked. “I might be able to give some advice in case I get inspiration.”

“I should be inside since without me, the two elements will become chaotic again,” warned Qilin.

Nathan nodded, letting those two accompany him.

Then, he walked to the alien and gently put her down.

“So, this is the alien…” Evelyn muttered weakly. It was unfortunate that she wouldn’t be facing the alien in her best state.

Nathan stared at the alien with narrowed eyes. “You’ve succeeded in making me come here with your provocation. I’m sure you have seen this possibility as well…”

The alien, who had been silent the whole time, finally talked to him through telepathy. “Not me. However, this possibility has the highest chance to happen.”

“I don’t have time. Do you have anything to save her?”

“It looks like she has been cursed. Her soul is stable, but her body is rotting away. Soon, she will succumb to this curse as her organs start failing one by one.”

“I can see that much. I’m talking about a solution!” Nathan punched the floor, pressing for the information.

Even after provoking him to come here using that prophecy, the alien’s answer was disappointing. “I don’t have a way.”

“What?!” Nathan’s face turned ugly.

“I really don’t have a way. I, too, am on the verge of death. There’s no way for the dying me to have the ability to save her. In fact, even my peak state won’t be enough to save her.”

“…” Killing intent leaked out from his eyes.

This killing intent even made Evelyn feel chills down her spine. This was the same killing intent as when Evelyn asked him if she ever tried to harm his people and how he planned to go against the Sleeping Garden.

Just like back then, Nathan showed such a darkness that was not losing to her desire for revenge. No, it might even overwhelm her own desire.

For his darkness, he would be willing to do anything to protect his people… even if it meant destroying this world.

This time, Nathan showed it again, but for her sake. Evelyn was secretly moved. All the people she had seen in the past did it not for her sake, but for her favor. If they helped her, she was expected to return the favor. And if the problem was not worth the reward, they wouldn’t approach her.

But Nathan was different. Even if he had to massacre the entire human race, he would be willing to do so as long as he could achieve his goal.

The alien could also feel the darkness. “I really don’t have a way. However, there are two things that my god told me about it.

“When this possibility is reached, there are multiple possibilities. Depending on whether you can save her or not, your future will be determined. Although we couldn’t see your fate, we could see the surrounding fate.

“If you fail to save her, the alien race will be destroyed completely. The fate of the black cell becomes even more powerful, so we’re assuming you will be joining that side because you think we’re the cause of her death.

“If you succeed in saving her, our race’s fate increases, which means we have the chance to fight back that black cell. The path is rather obvious. We’ll try to save her, but with all my knowledge, I can’t find a way to save her.

“The only thing I know is that… After this point, my death is certain whether you save her or not.

“I can see what will happen to me if you fail. That darkness of yours will consume me. However, what if you succeed? I don’t think inviting you here will make you kill me. Even if I’m weak, I can still last for another day, so my fate shouldn’t end today.

“With that information, can you think of the reason I have to die?”

“!!!” Nathan widened his eyes in surprise as though he realized something. “Are you Outer Gods? No, I don’t think I’ve seen an outer god like you.”

“I’m not. You humans will probably classify me as an elite class mutant.”

“…” Nathan fell silent for a moment. The only reason for him to die might actually be related to a way to save Evelyn. In other words, he would need his core to fuel the ena he required to save Evelyn.

But he didn’t have a method to transfer the ena from his core. Still, there was one path that might allow him to succeed. The alien was still alive, meaning he might be able to make a contract with this intelligent alien.

“!!!” Nathan’s body trembled. It was something he had never considered before, but if this was actually enough to save her, then he had to do it.

“Anubis… What if I use an elite class mutant as a sacrifice for my contract to save her? Can we save her?”

“!!!” Anubis looked shocked at first, but soon, he thought about a method. An elite class alien gave one million ena, but a mutated core gave more. With this ena, there was a possibility to save her. “I might have a way to save her.”

“…” Nathan took a deep breath before raising his head. “I understand. Alien. Let’s have a deal.”
