Chapter 175: Wean Jewel: NelTara
Chapter 175: Wean Jewel: NelTara
Ruogarg City!
In one of its training grounds constructed out of the Rockatrice’s Primary Nature to form a rock landscape with multiple pillars strewn about, an Empyrean Boar meandered through them.
Four Empyrean Boar Clansmen were situated on the cliff walls, having activated a Centinger’s Nature each.
Nature–Bone-Melting Artillery!
The artillery strike bombarded the region. As multiple spikes approached the rushing Empyrean Boar, the latter’s eyes trained to their motion. And in the tenth of a second, four Natures were activated in rapid succession.
Nature–Shredded Lunge!
The activation of the first Shredded Lunge caused her to leap to a distance of twenty metres. However, by the time her body had leapt two metres, the Empyrean Boar reverted to human form, revealing a woman in her late teens. Promptly, her figure morphed into an Empyrean Boar, the expansion of her body’s size pushed away the ambient air, creating a shockwave.
This shockwave accurately fed into the wind blade generated by the shredded lunge. And all this had transpired by the time her body moved by a worth of four metres thanks to the effects of Shredded Lunge, still in the leap’s path.
At this point, a second Shredded Lunge was activated, moving her body at an angle while still mostly aligned in the direction of the first jump. She reverted to human form and transformed again, using the generated vapour cone to empower her second batch of wind blades.
Swoosh!
The shockwaves pushed at the spikes, grouping them together at spots in the sky, while the following wind blades shredded them to bits. Upon them getting clumped, gaps formed in the ground that could avoid the artillery strike.
Through this gap, her body moved, zigzagging through the aid of lunges from multiple Shredded Lunges.
GRAH!
After travelling for a distance of forty metres, the Empyrean Boar reverted to human form and collapsed on the floor, gasping for air while steam billowed out of his being, especially the head.
The rain of the artillery strikes resounded behind her as the girl remained sprawled on the floor for a few seconds. And then, she turned around, gasping while eyeing the sky, “Five times is still my limit…”
She eyed the older man who had landed next to her, “Father.”
“NelTara, my child,” The man expressed momentary concern, “You’re pushing yourself too hard.”
“You’ve remained stuck at the peak of the Body Stage for too long. Why don’t you focus on your cultivation?” He pressed, “You could have reached the 6-Life Stage by now with your talents.”
“In the grand scheme of things, an Empyrean Boar is still a weakling.” NelTara got up once she got her breathing under control, “I am confident, Father. I can clearly feel it.”
“As long as I manage to activate 10 Natures in succession, and reduce the delay in activation between them until they seem like a simultaneous release, I’ll satisfy the condition.” She got up and dusted herself, “Within a decade, I’ll become a Boar King.”
“Now, again!” She roared as she faced her father and her three uncles standing atop a rock pillar, “I hope you didn’t activate your Centinger Nature. Don’t waste them,”
“And keep them coming!”
“Fine,” NelTara’s father, BhurTara, let out a sigh and leapt back to the pillar, standing next to his brothers as he prepared to fire another artillery strike. Right as they were about to take action, the sound of a whistle resounded.
“What now?” BhurTara eyed upon seeing an individual run towards the training ground, “My precious daughter is training. I hope this is something serious.”
“It’s like this,” The individual arrived at a stop next to the training ground and explained the situation.
…
“Seriously?” NelTara complained upon being forced to take a shower and dressed in a frilly, expensive gown. “Why should I chat up a pampered child?”
“And these clothes…” She grunted once and saw her dress get ripped to shreds, “They’re too weak!”
“I want my Telghat Suit!” She complained. “Anything else is too weak to bear my strength. And worst of all, I’ll end up naked upon transformation.”
“You’re not heading out for a battle.” BhurTara sighed due to the headache he was experiencing from his daughter’s incessant complaints, “And besides, our ancestors were all naked.”
“We were Pranic Beasts first, and only later did we become Wean Clansmen…”
“I don’t care about the sordid past of our ancestors!” NelTara grumbled, “I’m busy training, and you want me to do what?”
“Just do it once, for your old man’s sake. I’ll be insulted by our family members otherwise…” BhurTara uttered, feeling everything was a drag upon seeing his daughter couldn’t give a crap to his thoughts. ’AARGH!’
“I’ll intensify your training…” He grumbled.
“Oh! DADDYYY!” NelTara twirled gracefully around BhurTara, “You’re the bestest father across all of Sumatra…across all Continents!”
’Who does she take after?’ He felt tired upon seeing his daughter using the ends of his moustache like a rope to danger under and spun rounds around his body. In her enthusiasm, she swung fasted and ripped off the moustache hair.
“AWCH!” NelTara slammed into the wall and promptly got up, smiling wryly upon seeing the moustache hair in her palms. She spat once on it, twirled the moustache strands like a rope, and slapped it on her father’s face, “There! Good as new!”
While BhurTara kneeled on the corridor floor, mourning for the death of his glorious moustache, NelTara changed into a new set of frilly clothes and walked out, with a spring in her steps.
“Father, where is that guy staying?” She asked, ignoring her father’s plight.
“The viewing gallery on the Nest meant for distinguished guests…” BhurTara uttered, slowly turning his head to notice his daughter had already vanished before he could finish his sentence.
He maintained his imposing despair, feeling a tear droplet slid down his cheeks as the moustache fell. New hair strands did grow back promptly after, but weren’t as stylish as his original version, “I spent a decade grooming it…”
“A Wean Clansman’s genetics cannot produce anything beyond a shitty moustache,” He slumped on the wall and lamented at fate. “I should have been born a Mystic Human.”
“Though they’re weak, every single one of them can casually grow glorious moustaches!”
While BhurTara continued to lament, NelTara had already climbed to the top of the Centinger Nest. Soon, she entered the viewing gallery, noticing one of her uncles, HayTutara, accompanying a young looking male. ’A Child?’
“The jewel of our family is here!” HayTutara proclaimed upon spotting NelTara. He then got up, nodded once upon eyeing the Information Slip in Torq’s hands and took his leave, “Now, let this old man not be the third wheel amongst you youngsters.”
He basically bolted from the viewing gallery, creating an awkward silence.
Torq originally only intended to make pleasantries, solely to justify the data he had received for free. But now that he eyed the other party, he was curious, ’An Empyrean Boar Clansman her age would typically have reached at least the 2-Life Stage.’
“Why are you only at the Body Stage?”
