Chapter 151: Screw You, Virala!
Chapter 151: Screw You, Virala!
Every Pranic Beast could create a Ravaged Tribesman using a Free Human. And when the Ravaged Tribesman becomes a Clansman, it will evolve the Pranic Beast to reach higher Grades.
Even Sumatra’s Blessed Race, the Mystic Empyrean Tentacle, isn’t immune to this rule. However, since an evolution has significant chances of messing up the method by which a Mystic Empyrean Tentacle is birthed, Sumatra made a rule to prevent it from creating a Ravaged Tribe.
Of course, the rule was that the Mystic Empyrean Tentacle, and its three variant Races of the lower Grades cannot make a Ravaged Tribe. That didn’t mean a Ravaged Tribe couldn’t be created through them.
It was a loophole of sorts, which got taken advantage of by an individual to become the Blessed Tribesman.
That was Torq, in his original timeline. The cultivation technique he created was the Iron Ravaged Art, which his compares helped develop over time.
By the end of his timeline, not only did Torq finish building the cultivation technique and elevated it to the Gold Grade, turning it into the Gold Ravaged Art, he became the Blessed Clansman and reached the 10-Life Stage.
And then, he made arrangements to revive on Sumatra, the anchor for which he left behind as the culmination of his first life–the Major Treasure of Pet!
The Major Treasure of Pet began creating its Influenced Region, called the Sanctuary. And the essence of Sanctuary was a fluid capable of mixing foreign genetic strains to create a functional whole–the Nectar.
In future timelines, he took in as many foreign strains as he could alongside the Nectar and improved his abilities, until he reached a point where his Primary Nature had been developed to its limit.
That’s the timeline he decided to become a Transcendent, during the process of which, the natives of Sanctuary gave him the title–the Extreme Iron Transcendent!
After all, he was the fastest on Sumatra to become a Transcendent.
Until that point, it was only possible to have one Nature on Sumatra. But during the Era of the Empyrean Boar King, seven extremely gifted individuals appeared as a result of the Mammoth Clan’s attempt to reach the Mystic Grade.
They were the Mystic Seven, who in their quest to destroy the Empyrean Boar King, elevated Sumatra Continent’s power system as a whole, and created multiple ways to attain the Secondary and Tertiary Natures for many forces.
As a Transcendent, Torq investigated these new methods and figured out the means to develop his Secondary and Tertiary Natures.
However, as the Blessed Clansman, he had access to the most broken of Natures and was actually a strict subject of Sumatra’s rules. There could only be one of him on Sumatra. And just like the Blessed Race, there can only be one version or copy of his Natures.
And just like how the Iron, Silver, and Gold variants of the Mystic Empyrean Tentacle race spawns randomly on Sumatra, his Secondary and Tertiary Natures too will spawn.
Torq used Nectar to slightly modify these conditions, so that he could treat the conditions as a trump card.
To obtain the Secondary Nature, he only had to say aloud a statement, which prompts Sumatra to erect a dome around him that was split off from the rest of the world. The function of this dome was to have a space cut off from the rest of the world.
And here, Torq would have to fight the silver humanoid, and upon victory, he would obtain his Secondary Nature. Of course, he also geared the conditions as such, the silver humanoid would first focus on attacking anyone deemed an enemy by Torq.
This was how he could safely obtain his Secondary Nature.
The conditions for the Tertiary Nature were significantly stricter. After all, his Tertiary Nature, upon receiving it, could complete his build. Starting the process meant he was ready to become a Transcendent.
And the moment he slammed his forehead on the floor of the submarine and uttered the respective statement, Sumatra erected a dome spanning 180-metres in radius around him. Unlike the dome erected during the Secondary Nature which prioritised cutting off the space within from the rest of the world, this dome focused on adjusting the time dilation between the two spaces.
Every existence other than himself, within this dome, would behave with rules that uniformly applied on Sumatra. And as for the individual of focus–Torq–in this dome, he was subject to the time dilation.
In the duration of a second on Sumatra, a duration worth Torq’s remaining lifespan would span within the dome. Of course, there was a consequence of unleashing it.
Forming within the dome was a golden humanoid, who upon arrival, released a presence similar to a Major Treasure. This presence was capable of elevating every single target to their peak.
A Praic Beast would reach maturity while a Human would reach the 10-Life Stage. Their Human Avatar would be properly built, unlike a boost from the Quill. As for the resources necessary to achieve this?
Sumatra was footing the bill.
“SHIT!” Scrambling to the back, Torq cursed in a fluster upon seeing a hand pierce through the hull of his submarine and reach for his neck. Had he been even an instant late in erecting the dome, he would have been a goner.
“What…” Eureur Pet gasped in shock, shrilling upon spotting the hand, “The heck?”
She was a product of Torq’s ability, and hence was subjected to the same rules as Torq. That was why she could behave as usual.
“I’ll know now. But first, take care of my target.” Torq pointed at the golden humanoid that had appeared and ordered Eureur Pet to deal with the latter. He then opened the hatch to his submarine.
The water appeared still but still retained its usual properties. He could swim through it, upon which he noticed the individual who had targeted him, ’As I suspected.’
“Virala!” He cursed upon seeing the other party suspended through the time dilation. Unlike the one he saw at Prata City, this Virala seemed to have significantly aged, like an old man.
Wrinkles covered his body and judging by the lacking mass across the body, adding to the white hair and moustache on his face, and coupled by the clear signs of psychokinesis reinforcing his body, it was apparent he was truly an old man.
A glance at Virala’s eyes, and Torq shuddered, ’Just how much of a cruel bastard does one need to be to have such a pair of eyes?’
Viala’s right hand had stretched out towards Torq’s neck. His left hand held a lotus-shaped object, and based on his body language, was about to place the object on Torq’s forehead. A glance at it and Torq’s eyes widened in realisation, “I know what that is!’
Minor Treasure–Mystic Human Stamp!
A Minor Treasure capable of erasing and fabricating the memories of the target, and could also cultivate the robustness of a Mystic Human’s body. It was the Minor Treasure all the Mystic Humans relied upon to strengthen themselves.
Only Virala could use its memory altering capabilities. And most of all, if Virala were to die, the Mystic Human Stamp would shatter and revive him in the process.
This was his revival mechanism, and why Torq was confident Virala couldn’t be killed. ’I don’t fully understand how he’s become older and why he’s targeting me now specifically.’
“Mother,” He uttered upon sending out a needle to target the golden humanoid from the behind while Eureur Pet kept the latter occupied. Once the golden humanoid died, Eureur Pet approached Torq as he pointed at Virala, “Can you begin extracting blood from his head to scour through his memories?”
“It will be extremely difficult, considering how high his resistance is.” Eureur Pet nodded, “But since we have time, I’ll manage whatever is possible.”
From that point, she got to work, taking a decade’s worth only to accumulate a small clump of memories. And upon accessing them, Torq cursed aloud, “Screw you, Virala!”
