Chapter 136: Major Treasure–Pool!

Chapter 136: Major Treasure–Pool!

There were four stages to cultivation–Spirit Stage, Body Stage, Life Stage, and Transcendence Stage.

While Pranic Beasts were born at the Body Stage and reached the peak of the Body Stage upon maturity, the Human race progressed through these four Stages, and once they reach the peak of the 10-Life Stage, they could attempt to enter the Transcendence Stage.

Becoming a Transcendent means to become an immortal existence with infinite lifespan. Of course, reaching this point meant the cultivator has reached the peak of cultivation. Hence, past this point, they cannot grow in strength.

Transcendents were an existence that could be considered a singularity. Their bodies, their mind, and their souls had fused to become one form. And the expression of that form was they, the Transcendent.

Their Prana, and their Natures too would have become one with this singularity. And the means to achieve Transcendence was a natural phenomenon that occurred whenever a cultivation expressed the intent to enter the Transcendence Stage.

Bolt of Transcendence!

A golden bolt of lightning with the properties of destruction and refinement imbued in it, alongside a bank of information capable of completing all the knowledge accumulated by the cultivator.

If a cultivator survives its destructiveness that deconstructs his existence, and gets fully refined by its refinement capabilities, they will become a Transcendent. If they partially succeed the refinement, they will become a Treasure–Minor Treasure for Iron and Silver Grade cultivators and Major Treasure for Gold Grade cultivators and beyond.

If they don’t survive the Bolt of Transcendence, their entirety gets erased.

At the moment, the night sky of the Dralh Sea lit up from the light released by the golden bolt that descended upon Raurau.

“My build has plenty of issues, as it is partially incomplete even after all these years.” Raurau spoke as the Bolt of Transcendence slammed into him and began to melt his body, “The issue stemmed from the two Bhirully hearts in my body, which polluted me, even though it is the source of my strength.”

“But now,” Raurau spoke, “The Bolt of Transcendence, with its knowledge base, could deconstruct and reconstruct my build into a complete form.”

“Thanks to the second Varahan Emperor achieving this feat, Sumatra obtained the final piece of puzzle that I had been waiting for all along, patiently, while gripping my losing sanity with every passing day.” He said in sadness, “The sheer influence of this power will push you deep into the realm of insanity, but you will have someone to shoulder it with.”

“You can endure things better than Runthral, and hence, I’ve picked you to bear this.” As he spoke, his body began to change, resembling the Spirit Snapper he controlled, “This is something only the Deities used to have in the past.”

“And now,” The Bolt of Transcendence surging into him also spread across his Spirit Snapper form, which ended up cleanly vaporising Runthral while somehow managing to spit out the Quill that had fused into his body.

The Bolt of Transcendence carried Runthral’s body, mind, and soul and infused it into the Spirit Snapper that Raurau was being turned into. And moments before he turned into the golden Spirit Snapper, Raurau’s voice resounded, for one last time, “Just as how you’re inheriting it from me, your most-promising kid can inherit this from you, and so on, down the generations.”

“It will become a power excluvie to the strongest Cooter Clansman who will rein as Chief of the Cooter Clan!” He proclaimed and disappeared, “Your power!”

The region grew dark as the Bolt of Transcendence vanished, leaving behind a golden Spirit Snapper.

Major Treasure–Pool!

It was a one-time use Major Treasure, which will dissipate upon unleashing its effect. The golden Spirit Snapper spanned the same size as the Runthral Pet upon transforming into an Empyrean Snapper.

Its ten-metre-long neck short forth like a bolt of lightning to touch Torq, which caused its body to be sucked into him.

Guh!

It was like he was jolted awake, as Torq felt something fundamentally change within him.

Typically, a Treasure, whether Minor or Major, would fuse with a part of the body. To remove the Treasure from the body, one only needed to extract the fused organ out. It was as simple as that.

This was how Treasures were stored by every force. The Cooter Clansman who brought in Runthral’s three Minor Treasures also ripped out the respective organs to transfer them to him.

Depending on the Treasure’s traits, the organ it fused with varied. Some Treasures were extremely easy to transfer, if they fused with organs such as the eyes, which could be regenerated after being ripped apart.

However, there were Treasures that fused with the heart or brain, in which cases, it was a death sentence to remove them.

In Torq’s case, however, the Major Treasure no longer existed once it had unleashed its power upon him. Instinctively, Torq felt it, ’I have inherited father’s build.’

’And when the time is right, I can transfer it to one of my children.’ Only one person could inherit it from him, irrespective of how many children he has.

But this also meant that, from now onwards, in the Cooter Clan, there exists a bloodline solely to produce the Chiefs that rule them.

“Thank you…Father.” He was unsure why, but at some point in time, Torq noticed tears were dripping down his eyes. He kneeled on the floor to offer his respects, for without any striving for it, he obtained a level of power he hadn’t worked hard towards, for only one reason.

He was Raurau’s son.

From behind, Eureur Pet watched the scene with moist eyes. Her gaze fell upon the four pillar of lights nearby and quickly used a cloud of mist to grab three of them.

Minor Treasure–Water Flow Sense!

Minor Treasure–Wind Flow Sense!

Minor Treasure–Tangible Psychokinesis!

“Goodbye, my child.” She eyed the three Minor Treasures that used to be a part of Runthral. She wanted to mourn, but she had things to do beforehand. Without hesitation, she made physical contact with the three Minor Treasures and watched them fuse into her body.

“Get up, Boiboi.” She grabbed Torq and jumped away from the spot to land on a wave that streamed away at a quick pace, “This place is dangerous.”

A 50-metre-tall Stitched Human landed at the spot she had just been standing at, producing a dull thud from the impact. It extended its hand towards the pillar of light in the location, in the centre of which was the Quill.

The Quill promptly fused into its body and began to elevate its strength. However, due to the way in which it was designed, the Stitched Human was unable to handle the stress and exploded into bits.

Boom!

Landing from the sky was a Centinger, thrown by Raefrag the moment he observed the Millinger had been killed. The Quill entered the Centinger’s body, immensely straining the latter whose strength got elevated to the peak of the Gold Grade.

GRROOAAKK!

The Centinger made struggling sounds for a dozen seconds before it acclimiated to the Quill. And upon stabilising, it promptly jumped into the sea and chased after Torq, intending to kill him, for their target, Runthral, was no longer alive.

“Boiboi!” Eureur Pet shouted upon noticing Torq was still in a daze, “Wake up!”

“Urgh…!” Torq grunted, trying to focus on the situation at hand, but couldn’t do so, for there was a loud scream resounding like an unemployed banshee in his head.

[GWUWAAAAAAKKKKKK!]

It was Runthral’s voice, filled with pain.
